My father in law is a ncaa referee. I don’t want to say what conference. he and I watched the last quarter of the LSU and USC game yesterday, together. and he said technically the call on the pic six could’ve been called but he thought it was a bad call. he said that the call on the offensive pass interference was absolutely not pass interference and was a terrible call. he agreed that those calls gave LSU a chance to win and that the referees were the reason they won.
Yes, everything going SCs way even a missed call on the blocked punt that could have given the game a very different path. It is a penalty to jump over a lineman to block a punt.
SEC is consistently the best conference in CFB and has consistently the worst officiating, making odd calls that potentially change the outcome. How does this get fixed?
Is officiating harder as players become bigger and faster? Maybe the problem is that half the SEC officials are middle-aged with pot bellies. They need to be put through boot camp each preseason to get them in better shape!
First of all, you are correct! The problem with the Officials is there is no accountability. They are protected from criticism and scrutiny from Coaches and Players with fines and suspensions. I’m a Georgia Dawg, but South Carolina got robbed 100%. Refs literally took 2 Defensive TDs off the scoreboard on very nit-pic calls. There were also numerous, egregious no-calls on Holding by LSUs Offensive lines. Not the “every down” type holding that occurs on every play, but really obvious Holds at the point of impact no-calls. The Georgia-Kentucky game wasn’t officiated much better either. It even seemed curious that when the fumble by UGAs tight resulted in a first down, late in the game, the Official literally said “the ball was fumbled prior to the runner being down, “BUT” it resulted in a first down by the Offense”. Why would he say “but”, like he was disappointed and apologizing to Kentucky? Crazy weekend of the Refs BS for sure.
SC beat LSU in my opinion. Same with USF vs Bama the week prior - refs decided both of those games. Georgia has to throw the ball early and often. Running into a stacked box for the first half vs Bama/Texas/Ole Miss/Tenn is not going to be enough. Air it out, live or die with Carson and those receivers. We haven't really seen what they have yet, maybe by design. Pollack is great, a DGD. Cool to see him link up with Brent.
David, keep up the awesome work developing your show. And throw in a daily Dawgcast. All us Dawgs are desperate for content. Bandon is all we have and he is sickeningly painful to listen to with half his content being repetitive ads
Completely agree on the two minute warning label. Like, just admit you stole it from the NFL and leave it at that unless they have a patent on the phrase.
Side Note: The crew that called LSU vs SC 4 of the 8 members of that crew it was their first time calling a SEC game. Hopefully, it will be their last.
Wrong. S. Carolina’s blocked punt was illegal and that would have negated a touchdown; so crying about the refs cuts both ways. S. Carolina was 2 of 4 passing in the second half and besides the long run TD, LSU Petty’s much shut them down.
You don't have a QB that can pass on the roster, and you paid the price for it. You became 1 dimensional. LSU had several calls go in favor of Southern Cal, and we didn't complain about it. Yall been irrelevant for so long that game was your Natty. Move on. If South Carolina is as good as they think they are, don't stumble against Akron and beat Ole Miss.
Goergia should not be in a position at this point where theyre trying to find out who they are or who are the playmakers. I thought they would have come into this season locked n loaded. Beck has been average
SEC refs are notoriously bad. But this year they're the worst I've ever seen. But that targeting insanity and QB protection insanity seems to be across the board. It makes football almost unwatchable. I was telling my brother I'm tempted to just give it up. It's not football anymore.
It's so good to see David is working. He's awesome
David love your content. Finding Christian's who choose not to curse while talking about the sport we all love has been great.

USC won that game hands down. LSU was given that game by the officials. absolutely ridiculous.
Great show!
David, please put that rant on a reel....I want to repost!

@@wtk6069that’s not true. the majority of them are in really good shape. They have to be.

The booth need to be able to overrule quickly and keep game moving. That's the best course. It takes too long for refs on the field to review.
As a Texas fan, I promise you the B12 refs are far worse.
Good stuff gentlemen
I’d like to remind every one of when number 1 Georgia looked like crap at home against Kent St. And what happened after that.
You have the best show going!
I agree with you on that the officials are blowing a lot of calls

I still haven’t caught my breath from Saturday! 🤪
LSU didn't demoralize South Carolina, the refs demoralized South Carolina.

ESPN shouldve never got rid of you pollack smh
LSU got their ass kicked. We all saw it. Refs completely F’d Carolina over and over and over

Would’ve been 3-4 but the refs kept calling big plays back

Welcome to the I’m no longer employed by ESPN broadcast but Nick Saban is. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That would actually be a hilarious name for a UA-cam channel
LSU didnt demoralize shit. The refs are what have us pissed off and sad.
GO DAWGS!
