- Today, I'm taking you on a tour of this abandoned gilded age mansion from 1917. Built for $1,000,000 but in 2024 counting for inflation that would equal $24,000,000 million dollars!

Looks like an artist's mansion
it's amazing how pristine this mansion still looks despite being abandoned.
The first portrait was of George Washington and second was of President Thomas Woodrow Wilson (December 28, 1856 - February 3, 1924) was an American politician and academic who served as the 28th president of the United States from 1913 to 1921. A member of the Democratic Party, Wilson served as the president of Princeton University and as the governor of New Jersey before winning the 1912 presidential election. As president, Wilson changed the nation's economic policies and led the United States into World War I in 1917. He was the leading architect of the League of Nations, and his progressive stance on foreign policy came to be known as Wilsonianism.
well if he was a democrat he mustve been a founder of the kkk too then rofl. They was all democrats from the start and the republican party wasnt formed until they formed to end slavery with lincoln
I am glad to see that I am not the only one that knows who are presidents are. :)
Thank you!! I was wondering.
Who needs to live in a place this big. Beautiful rooms but missing any cozy feeling.
Where are the bedrooms, and master bath room.
I'm not one to pocket watch someone and tell them what they don't need. I often wonder what any of us would spend money on if we were wealthy.
@@edgescarborough4724is buy every one of my family members a house and buy a small Victorian home for myself 😊😊
Someone who wants to show exactly that he has more than he can ever use.
You could warm it up and make it cozy with furnishings and art.
This was a venue-that kitchen you didn’t show was commercial. The washer had a coin box on it and the fire alarm is definitely for a commercial building.
All these explorers calling every house a mansion, now this is a mansion!
Agree but what does a person need so much room for.,
A lot of wasted space
Looks vacant but not abandoned..
From beautiful to creepy ...WOW!!
That blue wall and fireplace in your intro is absolutely stunning, Beautiful!!
This mansion isn’t abandoned. Looks like it’s v being worked on. The outside hedges are manicured even.
I bought a victorian home 12 years ago . all of the main rooms that was part of the original structure have the wood valences with matching draperies plywood covered with foam and cloth matching the drapes .its 1 of my favorite things about my home .my home was built in 1897. By a. Judge stayed in their family until we bought it
This place gives me once a former grand mansion to swanky hotel. I can see this place as a wedding venue, aside from the crazy art upstairs.
With the fire alarm, sprinkler system and the art work, I'm thinking they are turning it into an Art Gallery.
Love the video and the house. Have you never played pool before? lol I started laughing when the pool table blew your mind.
Lol...if ball return was Kool , then trick and masses shots are even better to see.. if it's your first time and want to play not at a Bar go to a Pool Hall....good people in there would help out APA rules.thanks to " Black Widow " ....so everyone could have fun...!! 😎👍🏽
This house has the potential to make an amazing B&B.
Beyond stunning !!
Wow that blue room!!!❤
Looks like a part of it was used for nursing facility or boarding home at some time. Very lavish. Can you imagine trying to furnish a place this huge?
Man in first big painting George Washington the first American President of the USA.
Cherubs not babies..
The mansion has been turned into an event center. The first room that you looked in. You said you thought was a volcano. If you look from one wall to the other, you’ll see that that was an explosion and the rock on the other wall came from that photo. The other Room with wrapped up is someone else’s art. Other Rooms hold, weddings, and other such event.
It would be a perfect setting for wedding venues. The whole wedding, reception/dance, meal, boarding for guests, could all be held at the same place.
We have quite a few of those type venues where I live and they're always booked up fast.
Simply breathtaking.
This mansion is unbelievably gorgeous! How would you know where your family is in the mansion. So many rooms & doors. My favorite place was the blue room. Thx for taking us on this fantastic tour.
LOL, someone is paying the electric bill, this is NOT abandoned, it’s just not currently lived in
Ranger Rick I love it, I love it, I love it. My favorite room was the blue room.
It's nice to see that someone looks like they are renovating the place. Hopefully it will be back to its former glory soon.
Thanks for the drone footage of the outside as well this is one Epic mansion, the blue room is lovely, what a waste , being abandoned, and so much belongings left behind thanks for the content👍👍
Wow, beautiful old place. To big, to expensive to run and maintain. Uou definitely need servants for a place this huge. Someone has deep artistic ideas. I could see the Teo ballrooms filled with Victorian ladies dancing the night away with every suitor there singing there dance cards. That's what I would have loved to see. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite 🎉 Thank you for your awesome work. Would love to see a part two.
That is prob what they call a a sun room
Gorgeous. The art work creeped me out. Such a beautiful home
I would never go in these places by myself!
Yeah, especially one like this - that clearly is not "abandoned" but is being worked on & not lived in currently. And the artist owner quite obviously comes there regularly - the sign on the one door said 'art studio do not enter'. Cause we don't want to go to jail, but ranger rick is taking a huge risk on this one!
What a magnificent residence! It appears to have been built in the 1930s, judging by the relative simplicity of the neo-Georgian architecture and interior details in a very light, delicate Adamesque style. The ladies "powder room" with the massive elegant bronze-framed mirrors is impressive.
The fantasy-painted walls in the conservatory are a very tacky, if not artistic later job done rather recently. Compare this room to the parlour with it's original, painted panels, modeled after old master paintings.
wow the blue room was painted with such beauty
This house is the nicest new house I've seen
I ❤ the colors and the little delicate decor ✨️ 💕
Nice cathedral ceilings looks like a millionaire's dream come true 😮!!
The ventilation tubing looks to me like asbestos removal
All N All this mansion is gorgeous!!
The United States president George Washington and another one Wilson paintings. Thanks for this outstanding virtual tour!
When you said that about the banging in the back kitchen, my mind automatically went to the age of this place and its history. So could there be ghosts? But during your first room or two, there was a sweep of the front windows and in the furthest one, I could have sworn I saw someone standing outside, looking in. I figured there must be others there as well, but so far, at this point, I’ve not seen anyone and you haven’t mentioned anyone. But it was a biggish person, in dark clothing and a black hat with a big rim. Perhaps someone or something was checking you out as you were exploring. I wonder if you’ve ever had that kind of vibe doing this elsewhere? Simply beautiful home though. ✌🏻🤍🤞
On the bottom of the painting at 21:39m you can read the word "LOJZIM" and interestingly it refers not to a place rather to a family name from the 1920 in the Connecticut area, USA. The other painting at 21:59 says "LAMBROGIANA" and because of no matching found in google i guess it is even a (unkown) family name. Both names sounds from the mediterranean area, maybe italian or greek. The painting in the blue room with the clouds also appears to this.
If the art space seems uncomfortable to you, you should consider that this could probably be exactly the intention of this art. ;-)
Did you notice that not only the electricity and water works in this mansion it is also very clean and no dust, dirt or dead flies are really present? This building is empty and has a few of decay, but not completely abandoned. Someone must clean it regularly.
Padding in piano room may be for acoustics.
O M G HOW GORGEOUS! Very awesome video bro! ❤️👍🤘
That place isn’t abandoned. There’s work being done to it. It’s been retrofitted with commercial building standards. I think that place was/is an artists haven. Artists and writers prob paid to live there while they worked on their craft. Just a guess.
Absolutely stunning ❤
Not abandoned cleaning supplies in kitchen maybe getting it ready to sell
And I ❤ watching these types of videos!!!
Hi Rick, beautiful Mansion! It was really weird art who ever was working on 😂 I’m like you, I really liked the blue room with all the clouds it was so pretty! Imagine back in the day when that place was up and going, sitting outside on the balcony oh wow! Have a great day❤
Looks like the last owner was an artist of weird stuff!
Hey, I totally missed that you became a $5.00 member. Somehow youtube never sent me the notification for it. I will promise I will mention your name in the credits soon. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.
That soldier would be Napoleon Bonaparte.
YES!! IT IS!
Sooo beautiful a mansion and in such great perfect like new condition to be abandoned so long. And who is paying the electric bill there? Someone has to be ....
That's a very good question.
Right, the owner, who just isn't currently living there but is having the place worked on & maintained & is either themselves the artist or a family member or friend of the owner is using the one room as their art studio.
Definitely not abandoned! The lawn and landscape are beautifully manicured, and the interior of the home is not dusty. You’re lucky you didn’t get caught trespassing in the blue room the “art“ on the walls is called Trompe L'oeil, and in my opinion or hideous, you didn’t recognize the first President of the United States come on man😢
Love your videos ❤
More money than sense .
Those window treatments you referred to as “ padding” are called Lamerans. Mostly seen in historical homes. Those “ people “ you referred to on marble mantle are cherubs.
The first opening shots reminded me of beauty and the beast. Wow
Woodrow Wilson in one of the pics. Maybe the Marquis de Lafayette in the other
Really beautiful mansion!!
Just Awsome!!!
Portable A/C. HVAC System
What a beautiful fireplace and a beautiful room. I don't like the ceilings with the clouds in them.
I would give anything to have this mansion as mine ❤!!!
Stunning just simply stunning ❤
It really is!
thank you that was the best everxxxx
My gosh I just love this home wow every room is just so breathtaking specially the blue room
Yesss!
Wow, wow, we wow, I love this!
That place is out standing.
I think that room you were just in was the servants quarters or servants kitchen (one of them)
Hey that Painting of the man was a President!!
I would be happy here...my cat sanctuary would be awesome!
Geme X3 OMG THIS PLACE I would die for!!
Drop dead gorgeous!!!
Rick why don’t you tell us about why are you doing the illuminati hand sign
There's fire places because that's the only heat
I ❤ the details 😮!!
Those big machines look like de-humidifiers. Maybe they had some moisture problems or a leaking roof. That place is so majestic to this day. Someone must be caring for it still. ✌🏻🤍🤞
It went from absolutely beautiful to looking like freddy krueger 😂There are definitely some amazing rooms. The bathrooms are small and outdated. The blue room is so cool and I like the dark dining room with the lights in the cabinets. I like the design on the on the fireplaces. I don’t like the demon head painting on the wall.
And my favorite color piano
Clearly not abandoned. The grounds are clean and grass mowed. Venting pipes to remove dust while sanding/cleaning/painting. The house has power, and almost dust free. Clean cupboards, floors, shelves.
Who lived there and why is the house empty now?
I thi the second room next to the kitchen it’s a butler’s kitchen where they put together the food to take it to the dining room it’s what I think 🤔 🤷🏻♀️
I do believe that mansion isn't abandoned. I think they are just working on it. Also nobody is staying in the attic. You could tell that is just old stuff they didn't use anymore. Or that was just left in the house.
Beautiful old home but I don’t think the clouds and castle in the blue room are original. And that weird art? Looks like it was possibly going through asbestos remediation. (The big “hoses” going outside)
To nice to be abandoned and with power? That huge thing in the main room looks like something to pull out musky smells!
A very ethereal mansion!
Yes!
Could parts of this place have been used like movie sets?
Beautiful❤
Kitchen buttler room would had a table in middle for service up dishes
Where is this property located? Is it for sale? Thanks
Would make a great rehab center
I couldn't agree more. When he was going through the house I had so many ideas of what I could do with it
Now that's a real mansion
I'm drooling!!
sure, invite us after your inside! beautiful place. thank-you
The picture of the gentleman is woodrow wilson
The cloud room 😮
I think that's president Woodrow Wilson. Was he th stepfather who bought the home for his step daughter yo mentioned?
In the room with the pool table that large portrait by the large plant is a young George Washington.
Seems like this was an Artist Colony
I wonder if they were having art exhibitions at the Mansion at one point 🤔
Was crazy upstairs
