Welcome Disc Golf fans to the final round of the PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships! You will notice a difference in the sound of our commentary audio because we recorded in front of a live studio audience for the first time ever! Think live podcast, but for disc golf coverage. We welcome your feedback regarding this first attempt at an event like this. As always, thank you for watching and we hope you enjoy.
Listen to your fans Jomez, the folks that prefer post production. I understand the live market is the future of disc golf. I can't think of any other sport that the best footage is a day behind and not best viewed live. Your fans have had your back in the past and will continue to be loyal.
Maybe redo the audio and re upload? It is the world championship. People will watch this for year to come. Thank you for what y’all do. Y’all are the best in the business.
Thanks for clarifying, thought I had selected the wrong EQ or something. That being said, I much prefer the usual audio style, the additional reverb and echo is quite distracting and takes away from the video production. I think it's ok to try new forms of coverage but would be best to not impact the existing forms you guys normally excel at.

I really like the fact you guys are trying new things and I think this could work, I can only imagine this format for Conrad's throw in, but the audio issues kindve hurt the production value. The animations and replay quality are absolutely top notch and I appreciate the extra effort, it's really just the audio.

Also, Uli's audio source is not coming from Nate's mic. This is a different problem. It honestly sounds like the audio for Uli's feed has some kind of filter or looping issue through the line. Or more likely, the audio is from a different microphone that is placed somewhere in the room near the audience/speaker. But not from Nate's mic. Each commentator has their own source, but Uli's is messed up.
I'm so glad I read the comments before I heard Paul's voice. I couldn't wait to hear it after seeing his audio quality likened to the players' inner thoughts or consciences, and I burst out laughing the first time I heard him. That description is spot on 😂

JomezPro, I applaud you for trying new things. Going live is not easy, and hard to correct issues on the fly. Keep pushing yourselves, and making top quality disc golf content.
Said it before and I'll say it again, nobody notices the audio until it's bad. I'm glad Jomez is going for new stuff and this will obviously be something to learn from. Thanks for the free content!!
I always watch the live on dgn but still tune into jomez next day to rewatch for the production, different camera angles, and commentary. So I didn’t mind the extra time it took to get this out, it gave me something to look forward to watch tonight. Yeah Paul’s audio is a mess but it happens. I appreciate all of the years and years of free coverage y’all have provided us.
I appreciate that you are trying something new. For me personally, watching from Europe, I will not have the opportunity to watch this before after work monday evening (Norwegian time). As the final was played almost 48 hours earlier, it has been more difficult than usual to avoid spoilers.
Audio with Nate and Jerm is just about perfect. Paul and the audio from coverage is definitely bringing down the enjoyment. Since it was live maybe Audio and video from the audience and stage would make it feel like you are watching something special compared to normal viewing.
Thanks for the coverage!! My feedback… Stick with what works guys. When you have a formula that works, don’t change it until everyone else catches up and when they do, do it better. My biggest advice though would be to pilot some of these ideas at smaller tournaments to make sure they work for worlds. Can’t risk the quality of worlds to try new things (to be clear you set the standard of quality)
I like the ambition of going for the live event, but I do feel like there were clearly some issues with it that could've been ironed out had it been done a few times in an event smaller than the final round of Worlds. I think it was probably a bit greedy to try something brand new like this at this moment
Clever idea but audio quality is rubbish. Standard commentary is so good that I didn’t need anything different. What you guys do is amazing. Live and learn
The late release of this coverage meant anyone watching in Europe had to wait two days to get to watch this final round. I'd say consistency in releasing these videos is one of the most important factors for viewers. When it's the Worlds final round it's paramount. Trying to avoid spoilers and not knowing when the coverage will be up is very upsetting as a fan of a sport.
@@Justinlmd Exactly, that's why I didn't dare google info or go on twitter to see if they'd tweeted any information. Kept refreshing the Jomezpro UA-cam page for 8 hours in vain. :P
thank you for all of the thankless work you do alongside the massive amounts of support you guys receive. it's a beautiful future for such an amazing sport
If the audio were fixed, I could see the value in this. It is enjoyable hearing the crowd react to shots, hearing them laugh at the commentary jokes, etc. Even if it wasn't a home run, props to Jomez for continuing to innovate and push things forward.
I don't think anyone else does. It seems like a soap opera sitcom with fake applause after every little comment . This shit is absolutely migraine inducing.
I respect you guys for trying something new to try and make this extra special, but this event just doesn’t hit the mark for me. Normal coverage would have been much better
@@JomezPro I loved it. I think a lot of people aren't used to live events and how the transition from staged to live makes differences in production. I think it was awesome and a great event.
@@JomezPro hire a sound professional and it would be great. Some lavs on the commentators, some ambient mics for the audience feedback, mix it so it has the presentation this final deserves.
Been following y’all for years and it’s clear Jonathan (or whoever) is providing great leadership. The company has evolved beyond the coverage, and that’s super cool. You gotta innovate and get ahead of the trends that are undoubtedly coming to the disc golf world. That said, this is WORLDS!!! 99% of your audience can’t be there in person and even if the live event had worked perfectly, I just don’t understand choosing this event to do it when it basically forces your viewers to go to other providers to get the coverage. Just the usual awesome coverage would have been the move this time imo! Take the feedback, but stay positive cuz y’all work really hard (esp this week) and it’s almost always great great great!
@JomezPro I like the format and change of pace for the final round. I think it’s good to have something different for a special occasion. I’m sure you all are learning a lot from the experience too. As far as the whole coverage you can see how you all have keep improving and fine tuning and trying new things with the addition of the new graphics, music, the overhead drone footage and the live event at the end. Best product by far for our game! Congratulations!
I imagine a stressful set up considering new idea paired with World’s coverage. Thank you Jomez for being innovative and fun. Definitely appreciate the in-studio coverage, I think this pulled everyone out of their element. Overall good job to all the crew and commentary team for going for it and doing your thang though. You guys rule.
Cheers Jomez Thank you for always not resting and always driving the quality of disc golf coverage. Love love loved adding over the top hole graphic with distances . As for this don’t know how it happened but Nate’s audio is perfect Jerm’s is a little echoy and Uli’s is really echoy and really bad.
I agree completely, I find out who won but still like to watch the battle so Jomez is all good for me next level for me is to have what disc they are throwing at each throw and maybe have a disc speed on the drives.
To be honest, I think the biggest mistake here was posting it so late. Everyone already has that to be upset about, and is tired, so the minor issue with Uli's audio (which has always been an issue for him on Jomez, and was just amplified because it was literally amplified) becomes the punching bag for it all. You are doing a great job, and keep it up!
I think they waited so long to bait us into paying for it when they do it next time. "Don't want to wait two days to see the final round next year? Then pay us and stream 'live.'" It makes sense from a business perspective, but I think it backfired with the quality. I don't think I'll be paying for it next year.
Yes, they blundered Paul's mic. And honestly from the perspective of pure entertainment value its pretty funny. He sounds like a ghost. Everything else about the production? Perfect as always. Thank you Jomez for all of the hard work and dedication to giving us all the sport we love for free!!
This is the most important round of disc golf history. Sport has grown a lot and now was the time to deliver the highest quality product to show all that this is a sport to be taken seriously. This was wrong moment to try completely new thing, it pretty much ruined the quality. Love u Jomez, you won't let us down again.
I didn't like the sound in the beginning but it grew on me being able to hear the audience laugh and react to the guys. BigSexyBarri doing big things. Keep it up!
this audio is not it. if yall want to continue doing a live studio audience coverage you should find a solution to the sound quality being so low for youtube. Maybe even consider re recording because this is rough. Love this channel tho continue the great work
It is possible to have the same quality as normal. It’s likely just that it’s a new thing and they had additional problems to solve (live, audio going to the venue as well) but it’s totally possible to tighten it up. I definitely agree for the biggest tourney of the year the quality should be better. But honestly not even mad. Jomez and the bigsexybari are top notch. They have a little allowance to experiment and tighten things up. If they do this again, and the audio is the same I’d think it was a little unfortunate they didn’t tighten it up. But ya. Definitely should match the normal audio.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Cut them some slack, they tried something brand new trying to give fans an amazing experience. They will learn from the sound issue and make it an epic 2023. Im a fan of many sports and I’m not kidding when I say I think the Jomez Pro team covers the PDGA as good as if not better than any other group covers any other professional sport.
Should have just delayed a day and brought the guys back in to record the commentary again. You didn't do the event or production justice with the sub-standard audio.
I waited allllllll day to watch the last round on Jomez and the Audio is f’d, you’re better than that! Honestly the audio sounded perfect other than ulli’s mic.
Jomez showed all week why they are the leaders in post produced disc golf content and continue to raise the bar. In doing so requires innovating and trying new things. Several new shots and graphics were incredible in upping the production quality of the rounds. But to try new things takes them not working out. I hope the successes of the week are remembered and not overlooked.
Yep. The audio quality was not what you wanted, I'm sure. It definitely distracted from the experience. However, everything else was up to your usual high standards, and I appreciated the coverage. You guys set just the right tone in your commentary, and your video production team is aces. Congrats to Nate on your fabulous performance at Worlds, and to Jeremy on your amazing throw in from the drop zone on the island hole!
It's not just the audio issues for me, I personally just think it's weird to have an entire live event for a commentary crew of a sport. I love that Jomez is trying new things and it's clear that they've been the number 1 innovator for disc golf media, however in my opinion this isn't the way to present final round of worlds. This was arguably the best battle to happen in disc golf this year and it sounds really awkward overall. I'm sure it was really cool for the people that were able to actually attend the live commentary in person, but it definitely ruined the experience for the millions of other people that will watch this final round for the future years. Just my opinion. I love Jomez and they'll continue to improve in everything they do. They're doing a great job of making disc golf more mainstream, but I just am not a fan of this live commentary event. I wouldn't ever pay to watch a live event of MLB or NFL commentary so I just don't understand the appeal of paying to watch this commentary live. Nothing against Jerm, Nate, and Uli obviously, they're awesome. The whole thing is just pretty weird, not very appealing, and ruined the round coverage experience for the future viewers.
Yea Jerm, Nate and Paul are fine. I like them but I think Jomez has been trying to trade on their personalities and it just doesn’t work. They got real weird with the practice rounds earlier in the year and that didn’t work and they subsequently reverted to the old format. Now they do this and it doesn’t work. I’m not sure they know their audience as well as they think they do. The light joking and nonsense during commentary is the exact amount of joking and nonsense people want in their disc golf content. It’s adds a little spice but the protein of the meal is the disc golf. Just because I like lemon chicken doesn’t mean I want to suck on a bunch of lemons lol.
@@yeadogthazmyboi that's a great analogy hahaha and I totally agree with everything you said. They're great dudes with great personalities but the overmarketing of them is kinda cringe imo. Not to mention how cringe it is to here actually laughter from the audience in the background like it's a comedy show but ITS THE FINAL ROUND OF WORLDS. Does not mix whatsoever, it's just so awkward to me.
Uli went from being the ghost of Christmas past, to being in his inner thoughts, to being underwater, to fading from everyone's memories, then came back into existence trying out for a talent show in an empty auditorium. 🤣🤣🤣
I've gone back and watched the final round of several worlds multiple times, but I'm pretty sure I will never re-watch this. Maybe get McBeth to come in and do special guest commentary like on his -18 round so there is a version that is actually listenable. Glad you tried something new, and stuck your necks out, or whatever, but this really shouldn't stand as the definitive version of the final round 2022 Worlds, it would be embarrassing for people to come back to this one in perpetuity.
I respect Jomez and these guys for trying something new. It's a huge risk and I can only imagine how scary it must be; and honestly, I'd be happy for them to try again. First times are always rough. That at all being said, I wonder if this live set up would work better with an hour or two of highlights, not highlights, practice round moments, and bts content. Would allow the hosts to joke around more, tell stories, give insights, etc. (I believe in, if you're gonna say something is a problem, offer a solution. This was the best I could come up. Idk if anyone else would be interested tho.) Thanks for all the content Jomez, it is appreciated more than we tell you.
Nice, work. One flaw with the live produdtion was you couldn´t see the disc in the air, which was a bit sad. Compression blended the disc with the sky.
Good stuff, watched it live and still enjoyed watching Jomez coverage. Gotta say it's kinda messed up you made Uli do his commentary from a bathroom stall though.
could yall have split the audio files while recording live? Like use a mic that pics them up directly but doesnt pic up the reverb in the room? Almost need to watch this on mute.
It would almost be worth deleting this and redoing the entire set. Disappointed that you decided to try something so different on the most important round of the season without a trial and error period.
I'm glad y'all fixed the information displayed when talking about Paul's World Championships at just past the 3 minute mark. When I watched the next day live coverage, y'all had a huge spoiler in it originally. Either way, it was still a nerve-racking round to watch! I usually only watch Jomez for next day coverage, nobody else does it quite like y'all do..especially the commentary!
Audio is a tough listen. Never complained about Jomez coverage ever. But Id hope Jomez would understand the bad feedback from this. Commentary as always was great, but audio, oof…. Not good.
Imagine someone wanting to make this bet: "There will be 3 players from Colorado finishing in the top 10, and NONE of them will be Eagle McMahon..." What's the over-under on this? This is why I love disc golf. It's anyone's game. (LOL JK WE ALL KNOW WHO'S GAME THIS REALLY IS) WHAT A FINISH TO WORLDS! No it wasn't a Holy Shot. But man, I felt the nerves! COLORADO SHOWED UP! Proud of my boys, Aaron and Tristan. The sky is the limit for you guys. Nice finish Joel, as well. Can't wait until Eagle is healthy and Colton gets his consistency back. The talent coming from this state is insanity! That said, if we never have to watch a World Championship in Emporia again, I don't think you will hear much complaining. When will we get our first World Championship outside of the US?
I love this first try at the live recording! What a cool idea. I was really looking forward to seeing more camera shots of the audience and maybe even some of the crowd work with Jerm, Nate and Uli coming in and greeting everyone. Or even a mic on the audience so we can hear them laughing at all the zingers from the announcers! Looking forward to the next time you do this!
Thanks for the attempt. It would be really cool if this is re released and dubbed over. Maybe it has been. This is an important time in the sport and it should be enjoyable to watch and listen to.
Thank you Jomez for all the great coverage of this event. I think the live theatre hall echo doesn't match with coverage of outdoors events, because it doesn't align with how things sound outside. Uli's mic had a distracting amount of echo, while Nate's mic sounded prefectly fine. In any case, I appreciate all the work you folks put into this!
Maybe Worlds isn’t the place to try something like this. I appreciate what Jomez is trying to do but next time let’s push it on not the biggest tournament of the year
Just want to say Aaron played a marvelous 5 rounds , although he didn't look very happy the last day. I am amazed at this sport and it seems like I cannot root against anyone, it is fun watching everyone do well. A lot of parity.
The coverage was great as always, but just know that Uli sounded like Zordon the whole time. Jokes aside, I will always prefer Jomez over live coverage on DGN.
I bought a couple tickets 40 minutes after it started airing thinking I’d be able to start it from the beginning. Wrong, either way you guys put out the best content. I don’t feel bad supporting the channel
As a production team you win some and you lose some. I can totally get past the audio issues because it happens sometimes. My issue is with the extra day delay on the upload. I had to watch the chase card just to see the lead card check-ins. Jomez, maybe you can do a UA-cam livestream next time? That said, keep up the other great work! I’m always blown away at the production value of your other videos.
Audio makes this unwatchable, feel sorry for Paul that so many will miss out due to poor production. Hopefully Jomez will upload a studio version at some point.
The video and audio is much better than the livestream even from the start, so I'm glad to see that. I'm glad something new was tried like most others, but Jomez is just so known for polish at this point that seeing flaws in the coverage definitely tilted some of that chat xD.

Wasn't sold on this format bt we appreciate u guys no matter what!!
I love Orum’s form. It’s so precise and it seems like he air bounces a lot. Glad to see him on lead card
I agree, even for US fans. I got the winner spoiled from a comment while trying to find info on when the final round coverage would be up
@@Justinlmd Exactly, that's why I didn't dare google info or go on twitter to see if they'd tweeted any information. Kept refreshing the Jomezpro UA-cam page for 8 hours in vain. :P
@@Justinlmd there are no spoilers in live sports
thank you for all of the thankless work you do alongside the massive amounts of support you guys receive. it's a beautiful future for such an amazing sport
Anyone have an idea on when the back 9 will post?
I'm so stoked for this. I got it 1 min into being uploaded. Been waiting all day
If the audio were fixed, I could see the value in this.
We understand, thanks for your feedback!
But did you die tho?
@@JomezPro very fun to watch nevertheless, appreciate all the work you guys put in
@@JomezPro I loved it.
Oh baby the final round! Do I hear Paul Ulibari commentating from the shadow realm?
The live show was a lot of fun. Congratulations and thank you to the Jomez team.
Is the back 9 coming out tonight??
Wow. Production quality is getting amazing. Nice job Jomez! That intro gave me goosebumps.
The audio honestly isn’t that bad I give guys props for trying something new 🙌🙌
@JomezPro I like the format and change of pace for the final round.
Love the coverage! Caught it this morning on stream but I’m excited to watch it again!
At least they fixed the spoiler graphic for YT! Too bad YT missed the Starframe sets... Now the $5 is feeling like it was actually a value
@@mascatrails661 I knew how it ended already so I didn’t notice it but I love seeing Jomez storytelling!
Was this the same vantage point as the "live"?
@@QueenBButton no the cameras were next to each other and I think they had more for Jomez.
Physics of Form is awesome Danny, I want it every round.
As for this don’t know how it happened but Nate’s audio is perfect Jerm’s is a little echoy and Uli’s is really echoy and really bad.
i really enjoyed the live coverage top hole graphic as well, especially after first shots on longer holes!
I agree completely, I find out who won but still like to watch the battle so Jomez is all good for me next level for me is to have what disc they are throwing at each throw and maybe have a disc speed on the drives.
Thank you Jomez for the great coverage and superp commentary. Amazing to be able to join in from Sweden and watch this epic showdown.
It's not minor. It's absolutely unwatchable. I love uli but I'd rather them just cut his audio from this
It's not minor. It's absolutely unwatchable.
Keep it up!
Where’s the back 9
this audio is not it. if yall want to continue doing a live studio audience coverage you should find a solution to the sound quality being so low for youtube.
JoMez...we want 4k hdr video next year, thanks in advance.
I thought it was really fun to hear the live audience react (laugh, clap, etc)
Nate & Jeremy sound live, but Uli sounds like he's on a Zoom call from Arizona! 😅
@@baileybrown811 totally agree
Live from the Walmart bathroom!😂 I know you guys hate the way the audio came out, but it's still amazing coverage for this event. Thanks guys!❤️
lol, exactly what I was thinking 🤣 Made me laugh everytime picturing him commentating on the toliet for this world calss event.
When is B9 uploaded
Do we get back 9 tonight ?
Love the idea and we know you guys will get the audio figured out
I bet this was a lot of work to put together, but I feel like all the extra stuff you guys added for worlds should be the standard. This was awesome!
Love your channel but please don't do this again. Just doesn't work, it's delayed audio on a pre-recorded video.
Awesome coverage guys!! Was awesome to meet you Nate at Mgyver park a couple weeks ago!
Not good.
Imagine someone wanting to make this bet:
"There will be 3 players from Colorado finishing in the top 10, and NONE of them will be Eagle McMahon..."
What's the over-under on this? This is why I love disc golf. It's anyone's game. (LOL JK WE ALL KNOW WHO'S GAME THIS REALLY IS)
WHAT A FINISH TO WORLDS!
When will we get our first World Championship outside of the US?
when does back nine drop?
I'm glad this is the first and last time jomez is doing this live next day in a theater..
Man, is there not, like, a board mix for this?
not much could be done reverb recorded from inside the venue
@@Zakkday I mean… Nate’s audio is fine…
I love this first try at the live recording! What a cool idea. I was really looking forward to seeing more camera shots of the audience and maybe even some of the crowd work with Jerm, Nate and Uli coming in and greeting everyone. Or even a mic on the audience so we can hear them laughing at all the zingers from the announcers! Looking forward to the next time you do this!
Happy to pay $9 this morning to support the cause, but this is the version I've been waiting for!
just worse lol
Thanks for the attempt. It would be really cool if this is re released and dubbed over. Maybe it has been. This is an important time in the sport and it should be enjoyable to watch and listen to.
Uli is speaking to us from the upside down.
Unacceptable for the most important disc golf round of the year
Maybe Worlds isn’t the place to try something like this. I appreciate what Jomez is trying to do but next time let’s push it on not the biggest tournament of the year
Where is the back nine at?
One thing that I did love was the preview of the hole with how Paul and Aaron did on it throughout the previous rounds with those shots.
When does the back 9 come out?
Same
Probably out now on there website for $10... Smh
RANGERS! Rita has summoned a monster and an army of putties. I'm going with the ESP Nuke
@@spockhozzer7207 Jonathan, Jeremy, Paul and Nate form Mega Zord
I bought a couple tickets 40 minutes after it started airing thinking I’d be able to start it from the beginning. Wrong, either way you guys put out the best content. I don’t feel bad supporting the channel
12 hr delay and terrible sound quality. Hope it was worth a few extra bucks.
History is on your side Gossage, but this McBeth guy doesn't need it on his side because he makes history.
Yeah but the world championships like somebody's got a notice this at some time
please add heavy reverb to paul's commentary so it sounds like this on all the normal videos.even practice rounds and hole breakdowns and whatnot.
Big mistake doing it live, the commentary audio sounds horrible, and the videos were put out too late
Audio makes this unwatchable, feel sorry for Paul that so many will miss out due to poor production. Hopefully Jomez will upload a studio version at some point.
Some of us already know who won... We just wanna see how it played out...
The video and audio is much better than the livestream even from the start, so I'm glad to see that. I'm glad something new was tried like most others, but Jomez is just so known for polish at this point that seeing flaws in the coverage definitely tilted some of that chat xD.
What's that Lassie? Uli fell down the well??
Hahahaha
A combined 50 years or so of DG experience, very good commentary and analysis. Jomez, appreciate your content.
