Great video, very well made. Glad you had a nice holiday in our countries. About the weather: 2023 was one the worst summers in a century, but as you said, no bad weather only bad clothing (when you bike).
Hi Josh, Thanks for the video. I love the "cars, eat your heart out" comment. What time of the year did you do your trip? I've heard the wind can be an issue - so it's better to go northwards as you did. It doesn't look that windy in your video. Thanks again. Regards, Mike.
Hi, Mike thanks for watching and the feedback on the "cars" line. We went in early August, but it was unseasonably cold and rainy, we were told. One of the guides said something like "if you had been here during the summer...". I reminded him that it was August and he laughed. We had some wind but not that much. I should mention that most people, myself included, had the "e-bike" version of the bikes they supplied. Always a help in a headwind. Thank you again.
Love the video. It says you used your iPhone. Did you have it mounted or in your hand? We are going on a bike boat trip this summer and want to capture our trip. Thank you.
Hi Dutch here, it is forbidden to cycle with your mobile phone in your hand, it can result in a fine of 159 euros. I hope you have a nice holiday this summer with hopefully better weather than 2023
Thanks for watching. I didn't use a mount. I had the phone in my pocket and just took it out for a few seconds when I saw an interesting scene up ahead.
What your company did this and how much did it cost. Were you supplied 3 meals a day as part of cost. I saw that you stopped at places to eat, was that additional? Did you have the same bike every day. I you mention one day you opted for ebike. Thanks.
Sue, I don't recall the name of the company nor the cost. Probably wouldn't be the same price now anyway. We were fed breakfast before we left. The crew put out extra food at breakfast from which we could make lunch for the ride. We did that. Dinner was provided every night but one, when we went ashore and sampled (and paid for) the local cuisine. We paid for any coffees etc. that we bought along the way.
The company provides you with a pannier for the bike. They hold a LOT. So if you brought layers and rain wear (they suggest you do) you can carry all of that in the pannier and put it on (or take it off) as needed.
Yes, that ride along the Vecht is glorious. Great routing by the tour company.
Strumbled accross your video, very relaxing to watch in the morning, nice commentary, looks like a memorable holiday, well done!
Love the video. Biking is just the best way to explore a country especially a bike friendly one.

Thanks for sharing this video with your experience. I will be there soon.
I was born in Kinderdijk and live in the Krimpenerwaard now.
My sister is on this tour right now! Thought I would check it out and see what she's instore for.

Nice video. I suppose you visited the canadian war cemetery at Bergen op Zoom. Groesbeek is at the other side of the country.

What weeks of the year did you take this tour? (I'm just trying to judge the weather for a given month of the year.)
I see in the video it mentions @19:10 that it was usually cold and wet for "early August".
That's correct. It was early August. Seems like it's harder to judge what the weather will be in a given month these days.
What about change of clothes??

really with helmet? do you also go to bed with helmet?😂😂😂😂😂😂
What? You mean you don't? What if you fall out of bed at night?
That will be a divorce

They supply bikes, but you can bring your own. Of the bikes they supply, you can choose ebike or conventional bike. We rode the ebikes.
