The wind and vocal portions are surreal and just fantastic. Bravo... That said if I could dare to be critical... I was struggling to put my finger on something that was missing but I think I see it now. There's no musical riff. Lots of drum corps do this... skill-wise, it's musically great... but in terms of continuity, telling a story through music, I just don't hear the music portion for much of the show. I'm biased here b/c Lassiter 2002 is the favorite show ever and boy did that show have "music".
Underrated? I do hope your comment of "underrated" means the performance was fantastic...On point and NOT WHS should not have won this BOA Competition.
it’s underrated because now westfield high school isn’t as big as it was years ago. i go to spring high school (in the same district) and our band is also the same.
You’re gonna find that the appreciation for a lot of the shows from this era, especially LC, Westfield and Marian Catholic aren’t gonna get the amount of appreciation like they used to for the shows done in the early 2000s
It probably was. If I'm not mistaken he may have had his hand in couple of our shows during the early 2000s. I remember seeing his name on our music back then 😊
I truly wish this excellent performance was "IN FOCUS"! My son played french horn AND on the podium and I cannot see any faces what so ever, Does anyone have a higher quality video?

The euphonium solo is fantastic! Best tone I’ve ever heard from a high school marching band. Bravo!
Excellent from Westfield Alumni

You said exactly what I was thinking.
I love this show! Very underrated (even though it won)

thanks for telling us about the music used in the show
Fantastic! This never gets old
One of the greats
Sounds like a Higginbotham arrangement. Feels like a mix between early 2000s LD Bell and Marcus.

Yes! Look at the pinned comment in the video.
Do you happen to have video from from other groups that performed that year
The Kennesaw Mountain one os a top view only and I was hoping you had the mixed view like this one.
Did they march bent leg that year?
Westfield has always done "corps-style" marching.
@@evan-t-s not this year 🙁
@@Gltokensp06 not no more
@@coolguy3512 yes we do, big red is corps style
@@TheArchangelsoff I’m saying that we don’t march like that no more. We do straight leg now
