The Simpsons as a Bad Sitcom

Lol, Homer saying "Why, look, it's Chad Sexington!" was unexpected
1:48-1:52 as was the almost inevitable end result and the just as inevitable reaction.
Only the Disneyfication of the show saved it from the Oblivion of #MeToo.
Even so, it was clear that from this moment on, things would never be the same.
0:07 so Mr. Plow calls it "My funny family", despite the fact it is more of "My реrvу family" 😅
Just when I was lulled into thinking this one wasn't very dark... well that ending was perfect.
False sense of security of no one getting plowed
@@Losrandir That name again... That _name_ *again...*
@@Fuchsia_tude ... is Mr. Plow!
"Baart! Ba... Baart! Our forecast calls for flurries of passion followed by extended periods of gettin' it ooonn!" 😆
Homer loses his job, yet Bart's still the one who suffers
It's never a good episode without Bart getting the short end 😂
They will all suffer now that they have no income and Bart's sexual abuse trauma therapy won't pay itself.
I know... I can't believe Homer drove over his bike.
@@Sg190th
Something about shorts, rear end, a maybe-not-so-short thing up Bart's rear end joke...
@@Das_Ungeheuer
…eating his shorts…
The laugh tracks on points where it isn't even funny was captured perfectly
Wait it isn’t?
Kinda like Seinfeld AI lol ua-cam.com/video/Ou0ZYmKUeLU/v-deo.html and this was the joke where he got cancelled for suggesting a transgender sketch, which is sad ua-cam.com/users/shortsS-IPMzLp-Ls?feature=share
It must be funny! The TV told us to laugh there.
That's literally, just the last 39 seasons.
wo-ohhhh!
I didn't react with a yawn, I reacted with an angry yawn
Whut? Also your channel has some really cool stuff.
Max Gilardi what are you doing? You can't yawn all those angry yawns.
Your videos, the same as your entire ideology or belief system, is bad.
Holy shit, a wild Max Gilardi appears!
i love u
Wow Bart is so good at acting scared of Michael Jackson, it looks so real!!
That wasn't acting
Well Bart's a method actor
I don't know who this "Michael Jackson" is, that was very clearly Chad Sexington.
@@lucianoben-malek693 Michael Jackson is a Character in this Show, He’s played by Chad
But the Sitcom got taken down by the FBI.
This episode must have been a real strain on the animators' wrists.
Live cartoon with a live audience.
Dear God no wonder Bart has attempted to murder Homer on several occasions
It's a wonder that we've never seen him with a colostomy bag with all the abuse his rear end takes
He keeps a jar of vaseline in his pocket to offer to all abusers.
I support the Dark Simpsons multiverse theory that unless there's something connecting episodes we are looking at different Dark Simpsons universes
So funny how the front row of the crowd looks pissed. But everyone else in the back looks happy. Granted it's because they're out-of-focus and probably not given much thought by the animators, but it's still funny to think they're all into what happens with Bart
The front row is UA-cam execs and advertisers, the people in the back are actual Dark Simpsons fans
I absolutely lost it at the ending 😂
Lisa: Is it my imagination or is Dark Simpsons getting worse?
Homer: Eh, it's about the same. Uh oh, look Bart! Heheheh. I love this show.
Mr burns is such a great character actor
Yes
I bet that last stunt casting appearance PLOWED the competition in the ratings wars
So whether pimping out their son or poking some fun, the Simpsons will keep on gagging for years to come.
So, this is it. The last video in the pool. It's been a Hell of a ride. Ironically, this is the "lightest" Dark Simpsons episode ever I believe.
My wacky family - Still better than modern Simpsons!
Michael Jackson was the last straw for our cooperate overlords and decided to pull the plug on the show. At least Bart now knows how actors got their roles when inexperienced.
They should have added a Speedo man and a dog with 'tude. That would have shot the ratings up.
I still consider "Behind the Laughter" to be the series finale
It *could* work as a finale, but, to me, "Trash of the Titans" is a better choice. 1) it encapsulates how Homer's antics have turned the show to garbage, 2) Most family sitcom finales center on the family moving out and The Simpsons in its heyday always twisted family sitcom conventions, and 3) ending the series at 200 episodes feels better than 248.
Asides from the final plowing, the rest could easily be a regular Simpson's new seasons episode.
Bad sitcoms don't have messages. They're just a bunch of hilarious stuff, you know, like people getting hurt and stuff...stuff like that!
The Michael Jackson bits always catch me off guard. Really funny man.
Last night’s ‘My Funny Family’ was without a doubt the best episode ever. Rest assured, I was on the internet in second registering my pleasure throughout the world.
That ending was genuinely one of the funniest ways you used the Michael Jackson thing! Great job!
I was worried to not see one of the greatest Dark Simpson character anymore. Luckly I was wrong
Lol, this is pretty accurate to actual sitcoms, right down to the laugh track being used after nearly every sentence regardless of being funny or not.
Lol, of course “MJ” would show up at the end of the Pool, at least the audience had sympathy for Bart.
Thanks man, I just choked on my dinner because my mouth was full when Chad Sexington was revealed.
Well, at least Leon tried to win back the crowd.
Running over a bike = 60 minutes of bad luck for Homers son. Courtesy of Chad Sexington, of course.
Season finale of Dark Simpsons ended on a high note. XD
The end of the weekly Dark Simpsons era is sad to see. Your videos were always a highlight of my week, but I'll be happy to see what you make going forward.
You always bring in Chad Sexington whenever you need a ratings boost. Bart got a different kind of boost though......
Could've left out the "Bad" in the title..
Bravo Dark simpsons if this was filmed in a studio audience I'd be in the front row!!!
Sounds risky. Think about all the gore and other substances that could splash onto you.
Honestly, if it wasn’t for the Simpsons I wouldn’t even know who Tom Kite is.
Yeah, I didn't know that was a real person. I thought it was a caricature of a real golfer renamed to avoid lawsuits.
You’re obviously not a bowler 🎳
This was pretty amusing, especially when even the audience can’t applause at Bart’s shenanigans.
I still hope there’ll eventually be a “Darkest Simpsons”…
So just the simpsons post 2004?
(There
Now everyone else can be original)
Pretty much
Post-1998 (or whenever the end of season eight was). At least for some people. I do like some of the episodes from seasons 9 to 12, but, for me, the last good episode is the Treehouse of Horror where Homer gets cursed by a fortune teller, Pierce Brosnan plays an automated house that kills Homer so he can have Marge, and a shallow, but still kinda funny parody of Harry Potter.
Simpsons as a bad sitcom seems like a great way to describe the later seasons.
It is an apt description of the later episodes.
Yeah, I was about to say…
It went from the Simpsons to the Cosbys real quick
The ending really got me off lol and poor Bart isn't safe anywhere lol
If this really is the beginning of the end for Dark Simpsons, then here's the final death count over all his videos so far:
Homer: 118
Bart: 55
Lisa: 29
Marge: 24
Maggie: 20
Other Deaths:
Milhouse: 13
Mr. Burns: 10
Skinner: 9
Ned and Todd: 8
Rod, Maude, Moe, and Krusty: 7
Lenny, Barney, and Chief Wiggum: 6
Apu and Carl: 5
Martin: 4
Snowball II, Ralph, Nelson, Edna, Willie, Reverend Lovejoy, Larry, Grampa, and Sideshow Bob: 3
Moleman, Santa’s Little Helper, Lewis, Wendell, Sherri, Teri, Selma, Otto, Kirk, Ms. Hoover, Mr Largo, Helen, Luanne, Sam, and Chalmers: 2
Patty, Lisa’s Pony, Eddie, Lou, Mayor Quimby, Gary, Doug, Benjamin, The Krusty Burglar, Captain Tenille, Duffman, Kent Brockman, Snake, Comic Book Guy, Mrs. Bellamy, Disco Stu, Ashley Grant, Sideshow Mel, Amber, Scott Christian, Charlie, Buzz Aldrin, Race Banyon, Toot-Toot, Mr. Teeny, Gorilla Mascot, and Dr. Hibbert: 1
Whole Town: 7
So no one died, except maybe the art of the sitcom...
Last murder before this video was Bart getting strangled to death at the end of Bart poisons Homer. Doing the murder tally on six videos including Bart runs for Class President where I filled in for Maximized Animation. Been an honour and can't wait to run down the murders on the future Dark Simpsons videos to come! 😉
Still better than the second half of The Big Bang Theory.
Agreed.
"angry yawns"
how could you leave that out?
Looking forward to one day seeing a crossover of Mr plow and Hans moleman.
Homer will see hans dressed like bart, and turns into mr plow
@@MFool64 Aw, that would have made a great Dark Simpsons episode.
If this is the end of the series…Thank you, Dark Simpsons. The laughs were truly worth it.
Man, this episode was really made on the cheap. It's obvious they couldn't afford a boom mic for the shot at Mr. Burns' door, so they just stuffed a tape recorder under Homer's shirt and hoped we wouldn't notice. For shame, Fox.
I was hoping for "Hey Bart"
ever thought of making a Dark Simpson vid on Judge Harm?
I like how Homer just quits his job in a whim.
It's no different from the actual episodes where that happened.
how do you avoid copyright issues?
Given the screenwriters' resources, this show must be produced by Dan The Man Schneider
It needs to be louder, more kiddie, and have more shots of little girls' feet. And, of course, be on Nickelodeon in between endless marathons of SpongeBob SquarePants.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bart: You must be getting pretty tired of this joke about me being raped, huh?
Milhouse: No one who saw Dark Simpsons'd say that!
Chad Sextington: Let's get him! Hee hee
0:07 so Mr. Plow calls it "My funny family", despite the fact it is more of "My реrvу family" 😅
This episode was BAD!!
Probably one of few occasions where such a comment isn't necessarily negative
I mean being on the air for 35 years does that to you.
So... it's the modern seasons?
WAIT A MINUTE, how did you get your hands on a new episode before they decided to air it? Nice addition at the end btw
Wow, even the studio audience from Married..With Children have their limits.
That wasn't the MWC audience. Where were the jokes about Homer having a lousy job and no ambition or Marge being a lazy nag who wants sex from her loser husband or Lisa being promiscuous or the neighbors being better than Homer financially, but not morally?
@@canaisyoung3601 And Homer NOT wanting sex with his wife! Total opposite from Al Bundy!
Is that "Division of Walt Disney Co" part from after they were bought? It looks older. Did the Simpsons predict that too?
No. That was from the season 10 episode (though, based on its production code [5F19], it was supposed to be a season nine episode) where Homer becomes the personal assistant to Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. That episode came out in November of 1998. The Disney merger happened in 2019.
"Why would they come to our show just to boo us?"
Dark Simpsons is Simpsons as a Better Show
1:53 Well…at least the audience has enough standards to not applaud Bart being violated…
So you mean Seasons 12 and later?
Wow, that ending was DARK!
It's still better than any of these sitcoms that are notable for having terrible ratings.
AfterMash
That 80's Show
New Monkees
Small Wonder
Saved by the Bell: The New Class
Joanie Loves Chachi
My Mother the Car
Out of This World
Tyler Perry's House of Payne
and Leaving Neverland.
Fun fact: James L. Brooks actually did work on "My Mother the Car".
He also directed films like Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, I'll Do Anything, As Good as It Gets, Spanglish and How Do You Know.
@@ohnostoltzman2496 But those were actually good. My Mother the Car was from his early days when he had to pay his dues by working on crappy projects.
Rip in peace, Bart's bike.
For once Bart didn't deserve that.
Yeah, but someone has to pay for Homer's idiocy and this *is* Dark Simpsons...
The greatest twist in sitcom history.
What's the difference?
The moment they said "Guest Stars" I knew where it was going.
Executive Producer Chuck Lorre
(rapid flash title card) "Say did you know that..."
Turns out that hardcore nudity wasn't the ratings boom they thought it would be.
It's TROY MCCLURE hardcore nudity the viewers want!
0:21 Maggie be like where is my baby food? The bowl wasn’t full and it magically emptied long after
Yea that ending got me, holy shit and the thrusts noises|
I was a baaaaad idea to watch this with a cold now my throats fucked up from all this laughing. Well done DS, Well done
I heard St. Patrick's Day is coming next week, maybe should do the one where Bart got drunk on St. Patrick's Day for your 300th video.
1:47 paper Mario at bottom center
"The Simpsons as a Bad Sitcom"
So... the show for the last twentysomething years, right?
Yes, but they didn't have that ending.
*Mr. Burns slams the door in Homer's face; Saved By the Bell audience reacts*
Lol Mr. Burns rides a child’s bike to and from work. Homer ran over his bike. I bet that’s going to cost him a bit unless Burns stole it from some kid
No one told Bart he had to do his own stunts.
Simpsons as a Bad Sitcom? Simpsons has been a bad sitcom since season 9!
1:37: Remember, Roman P. was choice for an Oscar in the same time when the police was looking him for pederasty
But a explicit justified slap is worse, right Lisa?
What are you talking about, this is the simpsons in their latest years.
Yeah, but the last joke wouldn't fly on today's Simpsons.
@@canaisyoung3601 obviously
Dang, this is the one i waiting for.... michael jackson.
Too bad this is the last video Dark Simpson Post.
*The show was eventually cancelled after Homer was discovered to have a thing he calls "Mr. Plow". This caused uproar amongst the viewers.*
The Simpsons as a Bad Sitcom. But it already IS a bad sitcom 😂.
From season eight to now. Though there are small pockets of people out there who never really liked the show or thought it was severely overrated.
@@canaisyoung3601 lol that’s what I meant. The video on first glance to anyone who hasn’t watched Dark Simpsons would think “it already is one though” lmao because when you say blank as second blank, it implies it never was the second blank lol. Like for example, “Friends as a sitcom with no laugh track”. Friends is never a sitcom with no laugh track lol.
LMAO! And I was wondering from the start how Mr. Plow was going to be fit into this one, well Bart still got molested at the end of the day ... 🤣🤣🤣
Typical Animated Sitcom, forced to rely on Shock value to keep the audience invested. Bet they wish it wasn't live
You should've just uploaded any of the new episodes unchanged!
He's already in trouble over copyright with UA-cam. Don't make it worse.
Still better than 2,5 men...
Wuh ohhhhh!
Simpsons goes Neverland after that doozy
For a moment I though the whole town would recieve as a special guest another nuck
Like in South Park
Well, it was a good run of a few weeks, but it's finally broken. Bart gets m*lested once again.
I like how Homer is in the live audience even though he’s seen going through the door while screaming in anguish like the one seen entering the house is a clone. I also like how the studio switches to Technicolor before one minute even happens
you're not smoothies
What you need is a Titanic reference to make this a jackpot
And that's how the Simpsons lost the 2023 awards
Glad to see the comeback of you-know-who! 😆
