Well as it turns out, you can't share links in comments. So as per popular demand, I have made a discord server where you can share your cool work. I might make a video where I highlight some of my favourite works. JOIN WITH THE LINK: discord.gg/snPCCxdW
this is the evolution of disc jockeying, with digital media rather than physical. i could see this becoming a site similar to the "30 dollar website" with insanely talented artists recreating masterpieces with a goofy set of limited samples. there is potential for sentence mixing as well on videos with dialogue, this could become a method for creating ytps/soundclowns.
it's really fun, but i've got a suggestion: instad of start, and end timestamps, what about adding the function to also do it with start timestamps and duration, and/or keybind and duration
That's a fair idea. For now you can try specific sample like that with the auto play tab. I'll see if I can do something with duration without breaking backwards compatibility
@@dijjidog hmmm yeah I should. One thing though, it won't work with sharing, as in the midis added won't be loaded whenever you share it, so you might have to do it manually Also when you say add midi, I assume you load in a sample to loop in the background?
@@FaustifyReal I meant add an ability to hook up a midi controler and assign the timestamps to notes or to import a .mid file to play the timestamps automatically. but that might be a bit hard i realise
The idea is good in theory, but really it defeats the purpose of sampling music down to the core of why it's special. Also the example you used at the end is terrible. You just chopped down an amazing song, didn't do anything creative or innovative with it.
