As soon as I saw the green yak and your signature green rods, this was a must watch for me. The 2 tarpon were definitely worth the price of admission, beside the fact you got a 2 lure grouper. Looked like a big tide movement along with dingy water. The same color water on the Louisiana gulf coast is why many guides use that same spinner you had with the same pink grub. Don't know if the pink looks shrimp but we caught bull reds and specs on them all day long. This was a very enjoyable video and I always look forward to your next one👍👍
Rich, I believe you could catch fish on a cigar butt. Its not the lure. Its you. You fish a lot more than just about anybody. You spend more time on the water. You cast more. You know just how to 'work' the lure. You don't waste time where there aren't any fish. You have good equipment and appropriate line. You are ultra sensitive through your line to the lure and can feel the most delicate of hits. Your reaction time is close to zero. You have good electronics and pay attention to them. You are plugged in to the other local captains and exchange information. Even though you're just a kid, you have deep experience and stamina. That's why you can catch fish when the other guys in the boat don't.
Everglades city is the best that’s where I fish ever weekend. Snook bite is crazy right now caught around 80 of them last 2 trips. Would love for you to come join us one day.
I fish the 10k islands and wouldve never thought to use a spinner! That was cool lol why i respect you as a fisherman. Never afraid to try something different
Great video as always Rich! Glad you finally made it to Chokoloskee. I get at least one or two quality trout out of there, still a lot species I gotta get tho like Gags and Tarpon. Always remember to take an ice box when you're fishing there 😉 Can't wait to see more Everglades content, tight lines bud 😎🤙
I fished with all types of freshwater lures in saltwater. Fish hit almost anything. It's pretty cool don't need to worry too much. Crappy jigs are amazing in salt. Fish when hungry they will hit anything
I’m from Columbia South Carolina and moved to Charleston… fell in love with saltwater fishing and coast life and learned absolutely everything from you in these last two years brother 😎🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾 plan to buy a kayak… but first I gotta learn how to use it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep grinding my friend …
Hey Rich, use some braid to tie that clasp closed and you won't have to worry about it opening up during a fight. I just started making lures for my own enjoyment and I just so happened to make some spinnerbaits with brass hardware for saltwater use.
That gold bladed spinnerbait with a new penny riptide or Gulp is the bait of choice fishing down in the Louisiana marsh! We were catching 30 to 50 nice size Redfish a day in Golden Meadow you need to go fish that Rich you would love it and your boat is perfect for it
Just happen to see this. I used to fish Flamingo and the 10000 islands with a guide named Neil Baron who was a former submarine captain. 45 years ago. Best fisherman in the Everglades. I can tell you to stick close to the mangroves and look for drop offs.
a beetle spin will catch many species. i have caught bluegill, crappie, bass, perch, pike, walleye, dogfish, catfish with them. never tried it salt water fishing. i have used them all my life and i am 70 years old.
Yo , I'm a native Collier county boy, I've fished that location many times, if I may give a suggestion the mangroves on the opposite side should be fished with shrimp on a jig head, you will undoubtedly catch the majority of the other common species, like black drum, redfish, and definitely more of those 12 to 14 inch snapper, and plenty of snook, those waterways are saturated with plenty of history as well, keep up the great content and you may also inquire of the many other opportunities like peacock bass , oh yes there are some hot spots more into the Naples area. Just wanted to leave some ideas if you are ever back in this neck of the woods...
Dude I use those cheap spinner blades with a jig all the time on the Schuylkill. They kill. And literally are a buck for 2. They work really well on snakeheads and crappie with a mini paddletail. I'll fling them around pots offshore to get the little jacks and runners for bait
That's the Salty Dog color from the late 70s-80s. Great for weakfish up north. IN CHOCKOLOSKEE root beer and brown buck tail is the shrimp substitute color. YOU MAY have found something.
That was a cool surprise, the tarpon jumping out. Its better not to put the photos of big catch in the thumnail. Capt Rich should be on after Capt Murphy on the Ole cable tv. Lol
I agree. The click bait in these videos is not misleading or over the top. As soon as I see a grafted picture in the click bait of other channels, it's an automatic no watch for me 🐴
I’m a freshwater fisherman basically because I live in the mountains. I have caught several 6&7lb largemouth. But my largest ever was a 9.2 caught on a green beetle spin bluegill fishing.
It's almost the only thing that bites early morning one of my favorite things to do was soon as the sun's peak its head over the horizon start deploying the popping cork
I need to know. How many divers do you have on your team? You know... underwater.... putting spinnerbaits in Tarpon mouths for you to reel in? (Sarcasm) 😅 Even with the camera on, I still find it incredible that you're catching Tarpon and Goliath Grouper on a Beetle Spin. Seriously, though... who knew? I used to pop one on while Bass fishing if the Bass weren't biting. I rarely caught anything other than panfish on them (mostly Bluegill and Oscar). I also used them on the rivers for trout in CO. I will be trying it out tonight on the Indian River. The Tarpon have been stacked in there this week, I just haven't been able to get em to bite.
Every point in the Glades looks like you will catch a fish but not every point holds fish that's for sure. It can be a grind if you're not experienced with the waters.
I must use spinner baits wrong because reeling them in feels like I am pulling in a branch through the water. You look like its easy and your rod barely bends?
If that's spinner is working I bet a bass spinnerbait would work just as well and it's stronger wire you never know to you try it cuz it looks like a bait fish facts

I have been struggling with stocks and forex since 2022 making losses everytime. I am struggling financially and am about to give up. Please please can someone reach for me and help me with trading please. I will appreciate it. Thank you

Yeah! Our government has no idea how many people are suffering this days. I feel for people with disabilities not getting the help they deserve. Thank you Mrs Alisha Butler, imagine investing $12,000 and received $202,500.

Another fun video, love the Tarpon action! Thanks
Rich doesn’t actually catch the fish. They just want to be in a fishaholic video!
Some incredible fish! I can't believe you got the Voodoo shrimp back. Unbelievable! 🤣♥

In Cocoa beach? I love fish the 10k islands. Hammered the reds there a few weeks ago.
Loved this video. You were having so much fun and things went differently than expected as well. Makes for a really nice video.
That was very enjoyable. I like the scenes with the tarpon. Hearing the excitement in your voice almost puts me there. Thanks.
Rich love what you do bro no homo it would be a dream to fish with keep your passion going stay focused great episode
WOW AMAZING GOD FHISING MAN!👍👍👍
Excellent video as usual!
That spinner is the best flounder lure, and it's not even close.
Epic kayak fishing video Rich!! I’ve been waiting for a kayak video like this!
Tarpon on light tackle;OMG!! So fun!!
wow the 4k looks amazing

Wow, your casting accuracy with a large top water is insane.
Time on water really pays off!
Had a friend take me there first time in 86. LIGHT tackle fishing capital of the world back then.
Excellent Rich - those big Tarpon are beautiful
Great video, nice to see you back in the yak.
Nice Tarpon video beautiful jumps.
Great adventure thanks for bringing us along.

That was a Beautiful Grouper.
Wow Rich! A spinnerbait bite on tarpon!! I could of went home happy after that
That lure one of my Favs for fresh water.
Rich I wish I was half as lucky as you fishing!!!
I fished with all types of freshwater lures in saltwater. Fish hit almost anything. It's pretty cool don't need to worry too much. Crappy jigs are amazing in salt. Fish when hungry they will hit anything

Well that's some cool fishing right there
That was a good day
Those grubs seem to do the job very well
Hey Rich, use some braid to tie that clasp closed and you won't have to worry about it opening up during a fight. I just started making lures for my own enjoyment and I just so happened to make some spinnerbaits with brass hardware for saltwater use.
Outstanding video!
That looks like a spinner that has been a go to for Reds for more then 2 decades now.
The everglades is like a whole other world. I felt totally outmatched in those waters.

i fished that area about 25 years ago ans if you dont know it, and don't have a GPS , you'd be in trouble. but it was amazing!!
Living the life!
Nice🎉
Little tip on the spinner bait,,I like to crimp that clip when going after bigger fish cause it loves to open up
Just happen to see this. I used to fish Flamingo and the 10000 islands with a guide named Neil Baron who was a former submarine captain. 45 years ago. Best fisherman in the Everglades. I can tell you to stick close to the mangroves and look for drop offs.
Great vid man!
Now that is someone to see, catching the same fish that broke you off😂
This is crazy

Great video 🤙🏾

It sure does. Great for stripers too! 💯💪🔥
Rich do you ever keep any fish??? Just curious. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing!!
How could you not believe that would work..? People been messing up fish on spinners forever. Salt & fresh..
Great trip Rich. How did you rig the fish finder setup at that location on the yak? Did you have to drill through the hull to run your cabling?
It's almost the only thing that bites early morning one of my favorite things to do was soon as the sun's peak its head over the horizon start deploying the popping cork
What an awesome day of fishing! Those tarpon were beasts. Where did you get your water shoes from?
I've always kinda felt bad breaking a fish off. It obviously didn't phase that Grouper. Crazy that was the same fish!
Bing bong!

Another classic!! Oh to be livin the dream in the Keys!!!👍🏼🤟🏼🤟🏽
I have NEVER caught a fish that had my previous lure in it. Not even someone elses lure. Wow.
That bait will catch any fish in any water. It’s a cheat code.
I don't think a purple and white would have done better than that !!!
Where is this location? I’m planning a kayak trip down to Flamingo in December.
where in the everglades did you launch from? Thanks
I must use spinner baits wrong because reeling them in feels like I am pulling in a branch through the water. You look like its easy and your rod barely bends?
Thats basically a redfish magic lure, Strike King has been making for about 15 years, why wouldn't it work.
I've tried spinners in all my usual spots, and not once have they worked as well as a plain paddletail on a 1/4oz jig head.
It's very inspiring to watch your channel. Your videos are always so interesting and informative.🥂⛺️💞
Tarpon on safety pin spinners, who would have thought?
what kind of kayak do u have
It's pronounced Chuck-a-lust--key
What kayak is this?
Chuk-a-luskie
im pretty early
