"Yes. Yes, they do."
"Do..."
"Yes"
Gonna go out on a limb and say yes, a bass will eat (insert thing here)
Bass won’t eat (insert nothing here).😂
Rock
@@Warlord_Gruktak_RukrakI throw rocks for bass in early March- mid april....seems the darker rocks get more bites
Bass would eat us if we were smaller and they were bigger.
I had a 9# bass mounted years ago and the taxidermist said it had a baby squirrel in her stomach .
Someone please give this man his own TV show well deserved over and over
There is a reason all the old TV guys are now on UA-cam. Traditional TV is a horrible platform, especially now.
This is TV now, i guess
You're watching it bro!
What can I say about Matt that hasn't already been said, calm, cool, organized, highly experienced and always willing to step out of his comfort zone with some "weird" lure that he makes work - big time. His boxes of plastics are probably rotting away in the garage. Always a pleasure to meet with you on your Saturday morning kayak adventures with a cup of coffee.
I do probably have some ten year old plastics turning to goop out there lol
I've learned so much watching Matt's videos. Casting long and parallel to a weed bed or lily pad patch and varying your retrieve speed is a killer technique for pike or bass. It's all about keeping the lure in the "strike zone" as long as possible. Also, that pause that Matt gives just after the lure hits the surface is so important because predator fish home in on the splash. That gives them a few seconds to get to the lure and then you get that reaction strike. Cast. Pause. Twitch. Retrieve. Got a decent (19" 4lb) largemouth just last night doing that... on the Whopper Plopper! 😁
Yeah that sure is a pretty cast
A Saturday morning tradition! Thank you!
Favorite part is the sound of those first strokes with the paddle.
And there's fishing too!
Love your videos, been following the channel for 4-5 yrs now. Thanks for giving us peaceful fishing content
My little brother watches your videos and he showed me some while he was here visiting. Needless to say, you’ve gotten me back into fishing. Best part is, you got him into fishing and I love to see it. We had a blast this past weekend, Thank you sir!
Of all the lakes you fish, this one is my favorite. Clear water, no homes + big fish. ....Feels like wilderness fishing.
Just finished exploring a bass lake with cottages almost everywhere. The big bass were around the 'wild' islands and weedy inlet-outlet mouths--where there are no people or docks.
That little bass thought the gator was coming for him and reacted out of self-defense. 😅
The bass did nothing wrong. lol
That bass has never seen a gator before. It was a reactionary bite. They all were.
@@WorldsGoneInsane yea.... it's called a joke.. he fishes in like North or South Dakota. I sure hope it hasn't seen a gator before. 😂
@PBAdventures146 some people man..... Whoosh! 😂
Your videos are relaxing to watch and your voice is calming and you don’t get mad if you don’t catch anything really your just like “maybe I’ll catch something next time” I like that keep up the good work and never stop fishing
SUPER impressed with the detail on that lure...! Truly fine work and another calm and wonderfully relaxing video from the Bob Ross of Fishing. :)
It looks just like a baby gator sitting in the water! Really well made!
@ndyakangler Agreed...!
Yohan is a gentleman and a scholar! Great stuff man and great for small business owners ty!
It’s because of your videos mainly I’m buying a fishing kayak. I’m in southern Ontario surrounded by Great Lakes. You’re a great fisherman and thanks for the awesome videos!!!
I have several, but don't have the balls to take them in freshwater because I am in Florida and there are gators and Crocs. 😂
@@Steve-ev6vx Makes sense. The biggest aquatic species around me are Musky and Sturgeons.
@@Bear-nu8xm We have Gulf Sturgeon that spawn in our rivers but you aren't allowed to even catch and release them. If you get caught targeting them it's big time trouble. I have seen some giants though, they jump like mullet when they are in the river. Sounds like a tree falling into the water.
Head to the UP
@@MikeYurbasovich I know its gorgeous and good fishing there. The farthest north in Michigan Ive been is around cadillac.
Damn man, beautiful morning, calm water, bird sounds, soft spoken, this video is peferct!
0:00 I always love the granite sand when either looking at a lake, pushing off from a lake, the north is just the best.
I love your channel. It's like the Bob Ross of fishing! Very relaxing.
When I saw the title I thought this was going to be a Muskie and/or Pike video. I was impressed by how well you know your tackle. You launched that first cast and NO backlash. That's having your equipment dialed in from the get go! That first fish was pretty impressive. That third fish cracked me up. I think the girth of the lure was bigger than the girth of that little bass. All those strikes were pretty awesome sounding and looked cool too. When you got close to the boat I wasn't too attentive. I figured if one of those fish hit that close to the boat you would've died from a heart attack and we wouldn't be watching a video. I would have liked to have seen that battery change strike. You're still alive so it must not have been tooo vicious. That looked like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing. It's been over 30 years since I had a bass fishing trip like that one! It was great to be able to share yours with you. Blessings.
Thanks for taking us on this absolutely beautiful lake . Love the Saturday morning trips
Five very decent sized largemouth in a gorgeous morning. My tennis elbow condition keeps me from fishing lately and makes me greatly appreciate this most enjoyable video.
This is the exact type of fishing videos I like, this man deserves a tv show!!
Nothing more satisfiing than birds singing, pure nature and catching fish ❤
Those early morning shots were just wonderful. Thanks so much for posting. Regards from UK, John.
Love your posts. I’m retired into my 70s lost my fishing friend years ago. I now fish through you. I often wonder if fish will strike at anything if they’re hungry enough. lol.
That lure looks both cute and evil😂😂😂😂
Dated a woman like that in tech school. Definitely turned out to be true on both counts. 😂
If scrappy-doo was a bass lure😂
I've been waiting all week for this :) Discovered this channel a couple weeks ago and i've been binging the backlog of videos. so impressive how Matt never misses an upload, he's so dedicated. Thanks for all your hard work, Matt!
You are the Bob Ross of fishing lol. Got that soothing voice it just lulls ya.
Catch 'em fast with the "Insta-gator"
😂
Esteemed gentleman of culture, we meet again.
Best use of this phrase I've seen yet. Oh, and Hello again!
Hello good sir!
Undoubtedly the classiest pescador extant today.
Indeed, sir!
Always the best way to start a saturday! Nice job as usual!
Another fun Saturday with NDYakAngler! Thanks Man!
Truly enjoy these videos. Thank you
Beautiful location! Thanks for taking us along Matt!
I wake up every morning excited for the Saturday morning vids, keep it up man 🔥
Before the haters start hating! I've been watching your videos since you made them part-time and worked full-time. I personally miss the days of fishing with lures people are actually going to use. I learned all about the bitsy bug from you years ago, and I fish it regularly. You are knowledgeable, entertaining, and a good fisherman, but I've love to see wade fishing videos, hammering smallies again.
I’m just waiting for the river to settle down at that spot.
My favorite channel. Thanks for posting! Tight lines 🤙🏼
Love this channel…what accurate casting! Your videos are top drawer!
Thanks Tom!
At least that lure has a good hook up ratio. Thank you for a good start to my day
I suggest making a lure from two small cylinders of yellow plastic, connected with a swivel and one treble hook on the back. Fish will probably attack it. Doesn't seem to matter much what the lure looks like as long as it wiggles. Thanks for you videos.
Gonna say a Bass is chasing the action! The movement! Could be a beer can walking on top and one will smack at it. However I love these videos and crazy cool lures you get.
Great video. I wish I had moved up there when I was a young man. Good fishing, good hunting...life is good.
My man if a chewbacca lego lure catches bass you know d*** well the gators gonna.
Especially with you casting it, love the channel dude big time.
Thanks!
thank you was bored until now keep of the great work
I’m going to go broke watching your channel… I buy almost all the lures you use. Keep it coming! Good work bro!
Beautiful lake and actually picturesque brother. Nice bass as well. Thanks for bringing us along.
To me, there isn’t much cooler than gliding over clear deep water and seeing all the fish and wildlife under me.
I have been fishing the same lake in NH for over 50 years and when you’re smart like he is and fish where fish are and adapt properly to the variables present…you can use a piece of shoestring on a hook and catch fish. I’ve been saying that to myself and a few people who understand for like at least 30 years and this guy is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Part of fishing where fish are is general and then dialed down to a square foot often times and his casting is a huge part of why Matt slays almost every time out. Sick fisherman. P.S…I’ve caught smallies with shoestring a few times to prove to myself that I pretty damn good myself….and I can cast about as good as Matt but he’s better than me.
You got it! Figuring out where the fish are, casting accuracy, and then watching how the fish react to your lure are the best ways to catch more fish! I missed several bites on my rat lure the other day so I took off the tail, 100% hook up ratio the rest of the day!
I knew it when I seen the caption. I clicked so fast. Plus love your content.
It amazes me that you was out here casually catching 3+ pounders On some Lake that’s in the middle of nowhere love the content keep it up.
Ole yohan! I got a gator a few weeks back!
Thanks for the great video, Matt.
Well done 👍
And one more thanks for the wild beautiful nature 🙏
Another fantastic video!
Those fish will eat anything this guy throws. He is the fish whisperer.
your video are amazing, recently I start fishing for pike, thanks to you, but sadly I haven't had any luck
The pike fishing really picks up once the water starts cooling down in the fall.
@@ndyakangler yooo thanks so much, I guess I'll catch some bass then
Love your videos my friend!
Hey, those are some beauty Bass, I hope your channel takes off, the content is really good.
DUDE! This lure was SICK. The detail that went into that is pretty sick. Looks like it held up really well to those fish.
I fished it on a couple trips and it still looks pretty much like new!
Too hot to fish down here today. This was a nice substitute. Thanks Matt!
Love the lure...... An excellent imitation of the North Dakota gator population.
It illustrates the size difference in the ND and FL gators.
Love the vid's........
Awesome video, but I'll be too afraid to be on that little kayak not knowing what's below in that dark water LOL!!
The largies there are so healthy. Looks like little footballs. Excellent vid like always
Happy fishing, my friend. Cool lure! 😎
Starting to realize as an avid fisherman like yourself...it's fun to throw random baits and see if they'll bite, but ultimately if the lure itself is within the correct size preference, they will quite literally hit "anything"
Great video, Matt, I truly believe you could through a kitchen sink lure, and it would produce nice fish. I'd say you picked a great lake to fish on July 4th, not another soul on the lake, just awesome! Take care and be safe!
They don't call 'em spoons for nothin'!
Hi NDYakAngler
Those first two fish you caught were real beauties, when you put them back all i can think of is oven cooked Bass with garlic, herbs, and lemon, they are so good to eat.
Chris (In UK)
I love your videos cause you are fishing and testing some lures and caught big fishes😊❤
Instantly thought of that movie The Other Guys; "Gator needs some shoes! GATOR NEEDS SOME WALKIN' AROUND MONEY!"
"Gator's bishes best be wearing rubbers!"
Naspelts and you are in sync with the videos! Gator bass vids released virtually simultaneously
He’s a friend of mine, but pure coincidence we both released gator vids lol
If you did a Patreon option where you narrated in aggressive street slang and happened upon a catchphrase or two you would become a legend.
bu yapraklar suyamı aitti yoksa sonradanmı atılmış çok merak ettim
Yall have such awesome lakes and rivers to fish up there or at least the places you tend to fish.... there's no pleasure boaters or people/houses everywhere it's like you're in the middle of nowhere with crystal clear water and great scenery. We have double digit bass where I'm at in the SW Louisiana/E Texas area but it's nothing to have a 100+ boat tournament going on along with tons of locals fishing and ski boats everywhere all at the same time. Great video as always keepem coming man!!!
There’s lots of crowded lakes here too but there’s also a ton of lakes to choose from so it’s not too difficult getting away from the crowds.
Relaxing channel, subscribed. Keep beating the devil outta those fish 😂
This has to be "grandpas" lake-same beautiful scenery and big bass! Either way, the content is always worthy of a 👍 Only wish I could give more.
You need a bigger boat for that one fish! Great job landing such a big fish. Awesome job, love your adventures.
I have seen a bass struggling on top of the water with a small turtle in its mouth only for a 9ft gator to casually swim over and eat both. South Carolina swamps are never boring lol
That first release was pretty funny, fish almost jumped back out of the water!
How about the second fish where the line goes "BOING"!
6:00 with a foggy morning sunrise view on a glassy lake such as this, I wouldn't even care if i caught anything. I'd be thrilled to just be out of the house!
HEY HEYYYYYYYY ! ! ! !! BassMang Matt 👋🥸...

DUDE , i love when you go to this lake , its always soooooooooooo dam dreamy and peaceful 🥰🥰...
great fishin as always brother..
see ya on the next one an stay safe out there..
Buh Bye from Central Canada👋🤓
He’s Bob Ross of fishing
Legend has it they do 😉
Keep them coming brother. nice job
We made the right one famous guys👍
Those bass saw that gator 🐊 and said, “Well, there goes the neighborhood…”
love your videos. would love a chance to come fish with the master some day
i love seeing new different things on fishing
I always called you and tell friends you’re the bob ross of fishing.
No doubt, they like that Gator lure! I love the pad growth on that lake.
Thanks for sharing another awesome video !!
Those Largemouth will attack anything. I used to have 3x 6” Bass in my tank. They even loved to be hand-fed. I used to beat up a chub minnow, put my hand in the water, and I wouldn’t even have my hand in the water for 5 seconds and one would swipe the minnow out of my hand. I also used to hold a minnow, or even a strip of bologna in my hand above the water and these Bass used to jump right out of the water to get it. Whenever I would approach the tank, they would come right up, ready to be fed. They are awesome pets. I miss them. I’m Canadian. I want to go on a fly-in fishing trip to “Knee Lake Manitoba” and catch some “monster pike”.
Another awesome video well done some really nice fish
I like fish, so thank you for letting the fish go! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome when you post I think i just watched a video with Naspeltz with a gator lure heck yeah brother tight lines
Dude! You’re like the Mr. Rogers of Fishing!😅 keep it up!
Which yak is that? I am new here but I'll be back to check what you got going on. First time seeing a gator swim bait. Frogs do well here in Pensacola Fla. But my go to is a Culprit red shad 7.5". My record though was on a Culprit blue junebug. She was around 8 lbs. What state are you fishing in?
This was in Minnesota, and the kayak is an older Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120.
Very cool lure and Johan did some neat work. Yes Matt we're impressed but not surprised as much that you'd try it. Why not right?!? Its YOLO territory let's give it a shot. I mean fresh water fish hitting shrimp and crab profile baits, i like how you mix it up. Keep them coming and thanks for taking us along again brother. Blessings
I do have some little crab lures to try on smallies this summer!
@@ndyakangler of course, that's great man. Never leaving a stone unturned
NDyakangler so this is the lake you used your grandpa old lure and caught your PB ? Or have you caught bigger of camera just curious
Yes this is that same lake, still my PB.
The way those lakes fog up on the surface looks like a dream
Unfortunately can’t hit the lake this weekend but this will suffice: thanks for the content brother. 🤝🏾
