It's just... Y'know. She only has the one spell. And outside of getting help from her party, like mana transferred onto her, she physically cannot do anything *but* that one spell. She could wipe out an insane amount of Nazarick's army in a single stroke... But it would functionally be a mutual kill. Darkness is a Crusader, a true max-stamina noble whose physical strength and endurance are noted to be absurd even to the demonic lords in the party's way. She has vitality and power enough to knock over practically anything in her path, and in combat *will* tank anything that comes her way, even curses and magical attacks being noted to have a remarkably weakened effect on her. Even when being directly possessed by a demonic general (who is most definitely on par with Demiurge) she practically overwhelms him just with her natural instincts and defences. ...It's just, y'know. She can't hit the broad side of a barn with another barn, and she's so masochistic as to make Shaltear blush, to the point of intentionally taking hits she wouldn't need to. She's a stone wall, but one that can't exactly fight back. In that way, she could genuinely hold the line against any of Nazarick's generals without exception... They just wouldn't exactly be in any danger fighting her in turn. ...And then there's Aqua. The strangest case of them all. Yes, her wisdom and intelligence are garbage, and she has functionally no way to raise them. The girl spends skill points on outright party tricks rather than levelling up the talents that could make her more useful. She has so little control over her natural holy aura that she routinely attracts the wandering spirits and undead that she has to wipe out. And yeah, she's a bimbo in the most classical way. ...And yet. Functionally limitless mana, *confirmed beyond* maxed out stats in everything *besides* intelligence and wisdom, a range of water, holy, and physical spells that enable a truly diverse moveset, and even more natural immunity than Darkness. In a strange way, Isekai Quartet gives Aqua a chance to shine in some areas, making her less of a "Useless goddess". She has no fear of the powerful devils and undead from Overlord because her divine power is more than enough to wipe out such creatures. Aqua may be only good character in Isekai Quartet who can kill the Overlord cast, a team of insanely-powerful monsters, especially if she gets serious. I actually feel a little safer with her in the cast and she provides some comedic tension.

However, because Aqua is a Goddess who specializes in Healing and Exorcisms, any spell she uses that works well against Undead is supercharged. That spell she used was painfully low level yet it actually managed to hurt Ainz and nearly killed Shalltear, who Ainz previously had to use his entire aresenal of OP weapons to beat. If Aqua had used any of her stronger spells it would've killed him.

Like he said Turn Undead is a low level spell, yet it managed to not only injure him, something most other high level spells couldn't accomplish but knocked out Shalltear without even targetting her and she's one of the strongest Floor Guardians. Hell Aqua's tears alone were enough to injure Wiz, a high level Lich. Face it Aqua only needs one good shot and Ainz is dead.

It is surprising the congruence that they handled with the spell, as Turn Undead only has effect on undead, plus Aqua's turn undead has a lot of power that adds a splash effect on it, thats the reason why Saltear was in that state after the attack.

aqua is basically maxed and has stat limit of basically an admin (as a God, she definitely retains her authority in every world she's in, or even just her max stats of said world. Ainz has high level/top player stats and could use world items WHICH only works in his own world, not this. This means that aqua may be stupid, but she could definitely defeat the whole overlord cast HERE just even with deadbrain spamming her sacred turn undead
things to point out: kazuma hit aqua , aqua dropped her staff (a staple magic booster for casters), she casted her low level spell without any gear ainz is wearing his usual god tier gear, and shalltear is dying on the side despite of being not directly hit while others are fine and about aqua can't kill frog, have you thought about attributes and resistances? frog might be water and blunt resistant now here's some side note: kazuma is high luck, maybe kazuma is hitting those crits when he hits aqua.. since the quartet world balanced them out, kazuma wont do his usual dmg to aqua.. unless those were critical hits in the first place..

My guess is, full power Aqua is equivalent to a world boss in Yggdrasil the same as the Dragon Emperor. But Ainz's guild has taken multiple world bosses before and even repelled a full blown invasion by 1000+ players, so Ainz + his guild can beat Aqua. But Ainz alone couldn't since most of his stats are for roleplaying purposes (also Ainz is an undead so holy magic deal extra damage to him) and he's average ranking in PVP, though we can't disregard the fact that he no longer posses human emotion,so underhanded tactics against Aqua via harming her subordinate will be an option for him.

How Ainz scales to characters in his own universe is irrelevant. He’s still a casual Mountain Buster and scales to Massively Hypersonic speeds at bare minimum. It’d do nothing to Ainz if isekai quartet wasn’t a comedy series actively nerfing or buffing characters as needed so that they’re not rendered as useless fodder in some of the shows fight scenes.
Reminder Aqua is literally gag tier broken against undead/lich/zombies/demons or whatever the polar opposite of holy. Her stats are maxed out besides intelligence and luck. She has a stupid amount of Mana as well where Kazuma could essentially refill his mana via drain touch indefinitely from it. She has a stupid amount of skills too that she even uses crap like Party Tricks for the hell of it. She made Wiz the lich (who was one of the strongest characters of Konosuba based on her feats by end of novel) essentially her bitch when Aqua’s tears from crying almost purified her. Her drain touch did nothing to Aqua at all and actually backfired on Wiz. Not in the anime yet, but Aqua even wrecks a ghost of a cultist saint of another goddess who has high holy resistance (other priestess class couldn’t do the job which was why Aqua was asked to do it) with just a punch. I can totally see someone like Shaltear get almost one shot by Aqua just from the splash damage as shown here.
Also forgot to mention, but as season 3 showed she can essentially put a permanent buff protection on herself and others where any kind of evil curse either gets instantly dispelled or doesn’t work period. She did this to save Darkness back in season 1 against the Dullahan and again in season 3 where she saved Darkness father from a devil curse and prevented that same devil from applying additional curses. Aqua is stupid, but her strength against evil beings isn’t a joke as Kazuma thinks to himself while never gonna ever admit it to Aqua so her ego doesn’t get inflated. Honestly the only other intentionally made gag tier character in this show I would rank above Aqua would be Reinhardt from Rezero.

It could also be a rock-paper-scissors kind of deal, due to their respective species and elemental affinities. Aqua is a (nominally) Lawful Good Goddess, so it would make sense for her Holy/Light/Anti-undead spells to pack a bigger punch than anyone else casting the same spells, even if that "anyone else" is someone whose stats are equal to hers but is not both a god(dess) and of the Lawful Good alignment.
Incidentally, Aqua is lucky Kazuma stopped the fight when he did, because guess who in Ainz' party was so angry at Aqua that Ainz himself had to physically restrain in order to prevent an overwhelming counterattack. Hint: the third-strongest in Nazarick, the second-strongest Floor Guardian, the strongest non-undead in Ainz' party.

Megumin has the strongest spell in existence, turbo-charged to such an absurd degree it can actively destroy functionally any target its pointed at, and has blown up a superweapon previously thought indestructible. More, unlike most any other caster of it in the world, shes mastered Explosion to such a degree she can cast it *without* a preparation chant, allowing a degree of speed to would normally be a critical weakness for a nuke caster like her. It's just... Y'know. She only has the one spell. And outside of getting help from her party, like mana transferred onto her, she physically cannot do anything *but* that one spell. She could wipe out an insane amount of Nazarick's army in a single stroke... But it would functionally be a mutual kill.
Darkness is a Crusader, a true max-stamina noble whose physical strength and endurance are noted to be absurd even to the demonic lords in the party's way. She has vitality and power enough to knock over practically anything in her path, and in combat *will* tank anything that comes her way, even curses and magical attacks being noted to have a remarkably weakened effect on her. Even when being directly possessed by a demonic general (who is most definitely on par with Demiurge) she practically overwhelms him just with her natural instincts and defences. ...It's just, y'know. She can't hit the broad side of a barn with another barn, and she's so masochistic as to make Shaltear blush, to the point of intentionally taking hits she wouldn't need to. She's a stone wall, but one that can't exactly fight back. In that way, she could genuinely hold the line against any of Nazarick's generals without exception... They just wouldn't exactly be in any danger fighting her in turn.
...And then there's Aqua. The strangest case of them all. Yes, her wisdom and intelligence are garbage, and she has functionally no way to raise them. The girl spends skill points on outright party tricks rather than levelling up the talents that could make her more useful. She has so little control over her natural holy aura that she routinely attracts the wandering spirits and undead that she has to wipe out. And yeah, she's a bimbo in the most classical way. ...And yet. Functionally limitless mana, *confirmed beyond* maxed out stats in everything *besides* intelligence and wisdom, a range of water, holy, and physical spells that enable a truly diverse moveset, and even more natural immunity than Darkness. She negates unbeatable death curses with a flick of the wrist, can purify *anything* through water, and has massive healing/rez magic on top of all that. She's as OP an OP character gets, and could quite possibly *solo* Nazarick. Not just Ainz, *_Nazarick as a whole._* ...But you're right. It's hard to be comforted by any of that when she's a bimbo. Put in videogame terms, Ainz is the max-level player who has 100%ed the game and powers that seem downright cheating. Aqua is the GM with *actual* cheats.

Ainz on the other hand is both City Level and is a Supersonic character, Aqua has zero speed feats of her own and is only Superhuman to maybe baseline Subsonic if you want to push it, scaling off Kazuma’s feats.

In a strange way, Isekai Quartet gives Aqua a chance to shine in some areas, making her less of a "Useless goddess". She has no fear of the powerful devils and undead from Overlord because her divine power is more than enough to wipe out such creatures. Aqua may be only good character in Isekai Quartet who can kill the Overlord cast, a team of insanely-powerful monsters, especially if she gets serious. I actually feel a little safer with her in the cast and she provides some comedic tension.
Except she counters only undead. And there are npc within nazarick that aren't undead.

Of which she has none that put her on par with even a Pleiades, let alone a floor guardian.

However, because Aqua is a Goddess who specializes in Healing and Exorcisms, any spell she uses that works well against Undead is supercharged. That spell she used was painfully low level yet it actually managed to hurt Ainz and nearly killed Shalltear, who Ainz previously had to use his entire aresenal of OP weapons to beat.
If Aqua had used any of her stronger spells it would've killed him.

@@Kardelman2 No it wouldn't. You forget all of Ainz's equipment is designed with in game limitations since it was ultimately video game items and equipment. It didn't have gods or goddesses and Aqua's magic is so potent and effective, none of Ainz's stuff would protect him. In effect her magic is literally Divine which none of Ainz's equipment has any protection against.
Like he said Turn Undead is a low level spell, yet it managed to not only injure him, something most other high level spells couldn't accomplish but knocked out Shalltear without even targetting her and she's one of the strongest Floor Guardians.
Also someone else pointed out Aqua wasn't using her staff when she cast said spell, which further increases her spell's effectiveness. Hell Aqua's tears alone were enough to injure Wiz, a high level Lich.
Face it Aqua only needs one good shot and Ainz is dead.

Aqua is multi city block level and not even Hypersonic. Ainz speedblitzes her and one shots her with a reality slash.
My theory he reacted like that because such a low level spell shouldnt have done any damage to him. But i dont think his HP would be fully depleted with something like that. It probably chunked him a bunch though. Ainz didnt use any defensive magic either so as a magic caster he just tanked the hit.

It is surprising the congruence that they handled with the spell, as Turn Undead only has effect on undead, plus Aqua's turn undead has a lot of power that adds a splash effect on it, thats the reason why Saltear was in that state after the attack.

Until we get proper feats, full god form Aqua stays at Large Building Level+ (scaling somewhat above unnatural and or hybrid antagonists like what Beldia, Sylvia and Hans became, or the Mobile Fortress Destroyer, aka the most powerful things in Konosuba physically until further evidence proves otherwise.

Kazuma isn't stronger than Aqua, he beats her up due to their respective personalities. They already fought seriously and Aqua wiped the floor with him.
Aqua's stats except Intel and Luck are pretty much maxed out. Basically she could've chosen any job she wanted but opted to be an Arch Priest. Pretty sure she could've soloed the Demon Lord if she just went as any other physical fighting class lol

Beldia has the best speed feat in the entire series of seeing them in semi slow motion, which again seeing as how Kazuma who is only slightly superhuman in speed can still react to everyone fighting, makes even this quite suspect.
The only one not acknowledging the arguments presented to him and being intellectually dishonest is you, my friend. If you actually knew jack shit about how powerscaling and power tiering works, you’d have backed down from this argument the moment you saw the way I interpret and present feats.

My guess is, full power Aqua is equivalent to a world boss in Yggdrasil the same as the Dragon Emperor. But Ainz's guild has taken multiple world bosses before and even repelled a full blown invasion by 1000+ players, so Ainz + his guild can beat Aqua. But Ainz alone couldn't since most of his stats are for roleplaying purposes (also Ainz is an undead so holy magic deal extra damage to him) and he's average ranking in PVP, though we can't disregard the fact that he no longer posses human emotion,so underhanded tactics against Aqua via harming her subordinate will be an option for him.

Her stats are maxed out besides intelligence and luck. She has a stupid amount of Mana as well where Kazuma could essentially refill his mana via drain touch indefinitely from it. She has a stupid amount of skills too that she even uses crap like Party Tricks for the hell of it.
She made Wiz the lich (who was one of the strongest characters of Konosuba based on her feats by end of novel) essentially her bitch when Aqua’s tears from crying almost purified her. Her drain touch did nothing to Aqua at all and actually backfired on Wiz.
Not in the anime yet, but Aqua even wrecks a ghost of a cultist saint of another goddess who has high holy resistance (other priestess class couldn’t do the job which was why Aqua was asked to do it) with just a punch.
I can totally see someone like Shaltear get almost one shot by Aqua just from the splash damage as shown here.
Also forgot to mention, but as season 3 showed she can essentially put a permanent buff protection on herself and others where any kind of evil curse either gets instantly dispelled or doesn’t work period.
She did this to save Darkness back in season 1 against the Dullahan and again in season 3 where she saved Darkness father from a devil curse and prevented that same devil from applying additional curses.
Aqua is stupid, but her strength against evil beings isn’t a joke as Kazuma thinks to himself while never gonna ever admit it to Aqua so her ego doesn’t get inflated.
Honestly the only other intentionally made gag tier character in this show I would rank above Aqua would be Reinhardt from Rezero.

Aqua may be useless most of the time, but she can easily fry Ains and half his posse since Demiurge and Albedo are demons.

Also that same spell made Shalltear faint while Verdia simply suffered... Konosuba's enemies are quite strong, they are too dumb to show it most of the time.

To be fair, Ainz isn't wearing his "Holy Damage Negation" armor set from the Shalltear fight, so he might have simply been poorly equipped for the match.
On the other hand, if he had still received that level of damage even with the other armor set, then it would have meant that Aqua stood a decent chance of actually maiming/killing him in his normal gear...
She lacked her staff, which grants a severe power boost, as well as having the Spell Break ability. She'd ignore any resistances he has, due to her deity status.
