a lot of people speculated that most if not all the floor guardians were unfrozen, since it's stated in overlord anybody over the level of 70 would have countermeasures against time stop spells, but they just didn't want to move because they saw Ainz was trying to do something lol

There's a really important reference from Re:Zero that is hidden in plain sight as well. There is a scene in wich Roswaal is seen in the background reading a book with a completely black cover. This scene is the one in wich Ainz stops time to try to cheat the exam.
That is a really big reference for Re:Zero Season 2! Basically the book he is reading is a future-telling Gospel, like the ones from the Witch Cult. Implying he is able to catch all of their attempts at causing trouble / cheating because he already knows the future and is prepared ahead.

So the orbs in tanya the evil you got slightly wrong. Tanya has the type 95 which is classified as a holy reliquary and has got tier power, the type 97 was a mass production model of the type 95. Essentially it’s better than typical orbs but the 95 is much stronger. Tanya uses the type 97 most of the time and has the 95 as a backup and hates it.
Also, Type 95, like OP said, is God tier, but it is realistically not perfected to be safely used. However, Being X made a little compromise or deal with Tanya, he will make it function if Tanya says a prayer which, considering Tanya a devote atheist, hates doing it. To add, using the Type 95 has some draw backs when it is used. I cant quite remember them but I think frequent use makes her zone out and forget what happened during battles.

@@CaseNumber00 that's how the situation was portrayed in the anime, but in the novel the situation goes something like this "godly beings were worried about the lack of faith of the people in the world, one clerk noticed that a certain human (schugel) was very close to reaching miracle level and given some extra 100 years humanity will get to that level, so they decided to just give it to him as a revelation but include a small caveat in the operation of the orb that forces the user to praise the lord with all their being when using it. tanya hates using the orb not because it forces her to pray when she uses it, but actually because her mind and belief system is actually overwritten by a zealous fanatic when she does and she is not 100% aware of the effects it has on her psyche. it goes to the point that once she found herself carrying a rosary that she had no memory of ever getting which shows how unbelievable the brainwashing the orb does is"
@@CaseNumber00 Well in the anime the drawback is mostly not explained, so far there was only that problem that she could not remember anything about the month training her battalion, for one reason or another. In the light novel Type 95 does several things, it is only when activated that it forces Tanya to start spouting praises to God and even sing hymns, Tanya compares the Type 95 to a drug, a drug you can't stop using because if you did you will die (because if she doesn't use it in the battlefield she will probably get eventually killed by the enemy), Tanya says how it deprives her of free will even going so far to actually say that her thoughts are being controlled, her memory gets muddled when used so she doesn't have a proper recollection of what she did, it also forcefully transforms all pain into pleasure "religious ecstasy" as she said. The training month was the last straw, since she cannot recall anything and she finds a rosary hanging around from her neck, but no memory of where did she get it and why was she wearing it. Sadly, there are also more permanent effects, Tanya wanted to wish her troops good luck, but instead she wished them God's protection and there was another time when Tanya said: "We are warrior's of God..." Even though she was not using the Type 95 at the time, she gets a little upset at this of course because she is quite aware what she just said.
According to Tanya Wiki, they say Tanya is the only one can use type 95 which has 4 cores safely by praying to Being X, type 97 which has 2 cores is a mass-produce version of type 95. Type 97 is more stable, hence, doesn't need praying to God but inferior output.
In conclusion, Tanya still needs to pray to God to be OP.
In season 2 episode 6 when albedo uses the spell “walls of Jericho” she bends the legs of one of tanyas troops referencing the wwe move “walls of Jericho” used by Chris Jericho

It is so funny at times like how Albedo/Shalltear have a nosebleed after they suggest night activities.
8:05 Kazuma is smart and lazy. He will obviously take the easiest routes to ensure his safety or be able to get something he wants. Kazuma would probably think similarly like Subaru at the beginning. Then he would understand he has no special abilities beside Return By Death. He probably wouldn't help Emilia due to his laziness and him wanting to stay alive because dying hurts. This causes all of the events Subaru took part in to not happen to Kazuma. He would then start by I guess working somewhere that doesn't require him to read, then he would slowly learn things about that world and then get a new job with his newfound knowledge. I'm just assuming that he wont be as reckless with his life as Subaru, so he probably will live to old age. But let's say he didn't complete the required events to get a checkpoint. He'd probably pick up on the fact he needs to help Emilia. Now that begins everything. But then again, Kazuma is smart and has high luck. He could make it through luck or he could use underhanded tactics. Once he builds an attachment to them, he would probably stick by them not to see them die. He also probably wouldn't have the same obsession over Emilia like Subaru. But that's just my theory. There's a whole lot of factors that play into this.
Subaru has heart while Kazuma has brains. Subaru sometimes due to his overwhelming passion for both Rem and Emilia. Kazuma wouldn’t do the same, as he would immediately try and manipulate things in his favor. He has more common sense than Subaru and wouldn’t be so much of senseless dumbass on how he screws himself over. Hell, Kazuma would think that Reset by Death would be a great thing.
Im pretty sure the savepoint mechanic would still work I think. I think the save point mechanic would pretty much revolve to how close 'He' is to freeing Satella, atleast thats what im getting at.
Or it could even be a mechanic which follows the true desire of the beholder without 'Him' knowing how it works. Its like an autosave to game, which pretty much tells you that you are progressing somehow.
So if Kazuma somehow died and realize he can return, im pretty sure he'd just wander off making trades more like Otto. So I would say Kazuma would take the Otto route. I wouldnt see him being a knight but more of a merchant/adventurer, heck he might even be an assassin or scammer depending on how tough the world will be to him.
I feel Kasuma would be a millionaire of some sort. Like literally in the konosuba Anime Kasuma gets really rich, but Aqua literally only brings him bad luck so they get into debt. Without Aqua He probably would be one of the richest person in the world.

Ya know it would be pretty interesting to have Tanya hear about Ainz's world. A world where I'm pretty sure her beliefs are brought to their most extreme, where everyone is used as a resource and controlled by an all powerful free market with unstoppable companies.
In the 1st episode, Kazuma hit Aqua right before she introduced herself as a goddess, which might save her from Tanya's anger 😂😂😂

I remember reading somewhere that because Aqua is a goddess of water all of her spells gain the Water descriptor. She then proceeds to fight only monsters with Water damage immunity for most of the runtime of the show. So her spells are all literally god tier but seem completely ineffective. So I completely get how hitting a regular undead lich would do insane damage.
Dude did you just call Ainz "regular undead lich"? He isn't even an undead lich. He's the highest form of undead, like aqua is of holy, an overlord. An overlord is several thousand times stronger(literally) than an elder lich. It wasn't that Ainz was weak, the guy is so strong that if power scaling is done correct, out of all characters shown in the anime of re zero and youjo senki, only the jealous witch, Puck, reinhard, Roswaal(maybe) and Tanya(maybe) are capable of inflicting damage on him. Other characters full power attack are just like a fly sitting on him, irritating? Maybe. Pain? Damage? No. It really only shows how OP aqua is to actually inflict damage on ains, irrespective of the type advantage.
He's a big bad undead, yeah, but he dosent have a natural blanket immunity to water damage that, say, the level 5 frogs in Konosuba have. My point is that shes way overpowered in almost every circumstance...except almost everything her own adventure has put in front of her. Between her bad luck and terrible intelligence she has the power of a god but is still completely worthless most of the time.

Sure I did. I just wanted to specify that the important part wasn't what classification of undead he was but shes competent enough that after being hit with one attack Ains keeps a Holy Resistance spell at the front of his arsenal just in case she comes after him again.
How does Turn Undead actually work though? If it's based off tabletop, it likely doesn't even do damage. It either outright kills, fears, or fails. Overlord rule system is totally based off an MMO, tabletop inspired as it may be. But isn't Konasuba mainly tabletop?
Also, a goddess Aqua may be, but isn't she just one out of many? People often associate a title like god with monotheistic religions like the Abrahamic ones, but arguably Ainz is just as godly. Heck, if the series keeps going he may end up with more believers than Aqua.
*tanya still having only oneseason* As a history buff, Tanya is a god send with so many references to WW1 and WW2 even going into the military, sociological, economic. and psychological theories to explain some of the reason why people may have made when planning out battles and war logistics.

Here's one. At the start of S2E1 when Naofumi appears,you can see him look down slightly (possibly at Aqua) right before slamming the door shut. This could reference the fact that in the dubs, Aqua is voiced by Faye Mate who also voices Myne/Bitch.

5:20 I don't think it was despair aura. In the Light Novel, it was explained, that this aura comes from his robe and it's a purely cosmetic effect.

Also if this is despair aura he's probably just using level 1 because if he goes any further it will be way too dangerous and might kill the people around him.
It is also explained that in tense situations he can, and has, unconsciously activated Despair Aura. Like when he first met with all the Guardians.

Isekai Quartet as far as I'm concerned is just meme fodder. I'll never sit down and watch it. These nendodroid SD style shows. It doesn't help either - and flame shields up - that I find Re:Zero and Overlord abhorrent. Just not a fan of Overlord's pretentiousness. Ainz walking around as some grand ubermench lich. There's so much talking and no action that I couldn't get through episode 1. Same with S2 Episode 1. Apparently there's crazy OP action but I just don't care.
And Re:Zero. I cannot stand Subaru. He drags the entire show down for me which is why after Episode 6 or 7 I just gave up

Oh yeah one thing that I found interesting about demiurge from the LN. His Incantation of Influence or subjugation spell as I like to call it. Is an AoE skill. It targets everyone within the sound of his voice. And it only works on those that are level forty and below.
Main reason it doesn't work on anybody in nazarick is bc they're all above the level threshold.
Kazuma was effected bc he's more then likely under level forty. And Tanya wasn't effected bc her rank more than likely translates into a level above forty. That and she's holding essentially a god tier item
I though she just possessed a natural resistance to it due to becoming a commander and having a shrewd personality
I always really enjoy how well Isekai Quartet seems to understand all the characters.

The Overlord characters seem way weaker in Isekai Quartet than what they are supposed to be. Also, the reason why Overlord has so many references in Isekai Quartet is most likely cause the Overlord LN has so many details to use.
they address that the world alter their stats so what is shown here does not match what is shown in their show. in other word what is shown in this anime is both non-canon and unreliable because of the stat change.
Overlord's world-building is one of its greatest qualities.

I prefer the dropping out in middle school from the light novels though because it makes him more interesting and gives an even clearer divide between how his subordinates perceive his intelligence and wisdom and how it really is.

Anime is at the point that any show that will be made of have a new season, it will be announced months in advance. 3:47 Aqua's powers do seem to be somewhat filtered by the fact that she's more or less in a human body, but her Holy abilities do seem to shine through, given how she wrecks Wiz. So it makes sense that Ainz would be similarly vulnerable to Aqua's Holy magic.

I love how there are so many subtle references too all of the source material. Like, even minor things like Roswaal teaching about dust explosions in the background is a little nod to something insignificant that happens later in re:zero. The amount of subtle detail in it is honestly impressive and probably worth watching just for it.
I also like the touch where Aura is helping Shalltear out after being attacked by Aqua. It shows that they are very close friends.

The type 97 computational jewel is what Tanya's first brigade is equipped with. Tanya herself continues to use the type 95 with a far greater output but which is unstable to everyone but her due to being x's miracle.
Even though Grants wasn’t even part of that training as he came later in Youjo Senki when she got deployed to the Rhine again and was ordered to take newly fresh recruits and Grants was one of them. They also went to enemy’s lines and kidnapped a few guys.
The Ln, manga and anime has they’re own little differences mostly weapons and attire. Like MG42s in the manga

Also, the type 97 isnt better than the type 95 orb. Type 97 is used by Tanya's battalion(and tanya when she doesnt need the type 95 powers) so technically we see it in the anime.

Yeah. The type 95 was the most ambitious computation orb, and only works because of the blessing from being X. The type 97 was made afterwards, and while less powerful than the type 95, it is more stable and they can actually create more of them. Its said that it would take 100 years or something for humans to be able to mass produce a genuine type 95

In Isekai Quartet 2, here are sooooo many nods to arc 4 of Re:ZERO, which is to make up the bulk of if not the entire season 2. Examples include (oh, MAJOR spoilers below by the way, like seriously):
First, we have Beatrice talking about her "mom" or the witch of greed Echidona who created her and Puck, both artificial spirits, and also the one who contracted her to watch over the forbidden library until "that person" arrives.
Next is Roswaal reading the "perfect" gospel. Basically gospels are guidebooks into the desired future. Witch cult gospels are imperfect, or they're somewhat more vague and their text fills out as the writ is realized. Roswaal's gospel is more detailed and already complete and he treats the writ as an infallible word of God.
Interestingly, in episode 10, there's a nod to the Great Rabbit, one of the 3 mabeasts considered calamities in Lugnica. It's a herd of voraciously carnivorous, seemingly mitotic rabbits that number similarly to drops of rain in a rainstorm. They gore any living creature that gets too close, monty python style, and they eat you down to the last drop of blood. They cause what can be considered one of the worst deaths Subaru has ever experienced. He was convulsing and foaming at the mouth when he returned. The experience was so violating, agonizing and overall traumatic it almost broke him.
And then the rabbit thing happened again with emilia’s mind literally too broken to comprehend that the subaru falling asleep on her lap is literally mutilated…
The typical cute Mare, was bout to go on a rampage that Albedo's and Demiurge's -500 karma couldn't even catch up to.

I also liked where in one of the episodes, Subaru wanted to test his return by death so he covers Tanya’s ears and says “When I die I” and then the shadow hand shows up, people who never watched re:zero won’t know what happened, and that is another really cool Easter egg in my opinion.

The thing that got me about Isekai Quartet is in season 2 there was an episode where the chalkboard behind raswaal said "what do rabbits eat" if you saw the episode 8 of re: zero 2 you know why that got me like "oh"

i hate to correct you but Cocutus icy aura IS active at all times, he is unable to turn it off. he can controll its range and usually keeps it a fue inches of himself. its aluded to in the first episode when he is first introdused and is outright stated in the light novell

Wasn´t the spell Ainz used to alter the weather the super tier spell [Creation], since the magic circles displayed are very similar to super tier magic. ( [Creation] is a spell that can alter your surroundings on a very large scale.).

At first I thought Isekai Quartet was a shameless cash-grab, but the sheer amount of Easter eggs and lore-accuracy just blew it out of the park for me😂😂
Another reference which wasn't caught here is when Rem asks Subaru if he thinks its a good time to drink some of "that stuff" and he replies saying "not while we're students". This is a reference to the Memory Snow OVA in which during the snowfall around the mansion, Rem, Emilia and the others have a drinking party which leads to some pretty funny moments

Yes. Simply yes. I noticed that subaru's situation is a bit too bad even for the dangerous world of re:zero, everything that could go wrong go wrong and thing that can't go wrong, also go wrong. Subaru must've got rotten luck as well

Please make a part 2 and 3 for this series, I love Isekai Quartet because 4 our of the 5 shows I've watched I really really like. The only one I haven't seen it Overlord and I just haven't had the time to go back and watch it.
I love Isekai Quartet. Was looking forward to the series when I heard Naofumi would be in it but kind of disappointed that he doesn't make to many appearances.
I love how all the other isekai are pretty serious, then you have the 4 lovable morons from Konoauba.
