Your comment section is rarely open. I want to take the opportunity to tell you that you're an incredibly relaxed and knowledgeable player/teacher. As someone who's been playing for 60 years myself, I still find something to take away from your videos. Thanks! Merry Christmas Dave
Thank you so much....one of the greatest rhythm parts, on one of the greatest songs ever. Sheer magic, he was such an underestimated guitarist. You uploaded a version some years back.....but despite many searches it disappeared. This is the way it was played. Thank you again
I love this. Apparently so did Lennon. Howie Casey song. KC and the Sunshine Band. You can definitely hear that. From what I’ve read, McCrae just happened to be in the studio when they were working on this and they said “ Hey, how’s about you come in here and sing some words to this ?”
Opportunity to post a comment!!! Big thank you for your posts. Brilliant analysis and playing, particularly of Keith Richards' genius. And Soul music that is the real deal. You are very much appreciated - and welcome back! From the UK.
Thanks for posting this Maestro. As a young teenage guitar player in the 70's, I cut my teeth on this song. Beautiful rythm guitar and nice embellishments. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Thanks for all of the vids over the years. It hurts like Hell to learn that Jean Knight, Mr. Big Stuff, was no longer above ground. Thank for sharing your insights on Stax Records and Little Beaver. Even your throwaway comments did not fall on deaf ears. There's a thought attributed to Edith Wharton about some people being the light and others being a mirror reflecting that light. I think there's a third class: people who are the light and the mirror. Thank you.
I remember watching a similar video about 10 years ago...just realised it was you ..always wanted to learn this but I didn't have the ear to catch it ...and yes! How can you not love the rhythm guitar in this song!? Thanks you for the video
Thank you for so many amazing breakdowns of songs over the years. I've been watching you since 2011 or so and you've taught me a lot! 🤘🎸♥️ Merry Christmas to you and everyone else who watches this amazing channel! 🎄🎁
I came across your channel awhile ago . Really great playing mate ...i wish you had been my guitar teacher ....all the best and have a Happy Christmas !
I was vamping on a Fm chord and started thinking about this great old soul tune. I was so happy to see you also dig it, and am looking forward to the tutorial. There are a couple of places I need to tighten up on. I love your playing and teaching style
I am so grateful to have learned so much from you. In fact, you are the first and only person I have heard refer to the 5 chord as the "get back" chord. I hope you don't mind that I stole that from you and use it often.
The lost art of rhythm guitar impeccably performed by a master - thank you for bringing a smile to my face!

You ever the one about Lennon saying 'Reminiscing' by Little River Band is one of the greatest songs ever written?

Here in 2024. RIParadise Jerome Smith, you must be in a guitarist Hall of Fame. If one already exists, you should be in there.

Goes without saying WC Clark is a boss. Heart of Gold is among my favorite tunes. Those opening chords, man. Ineffable

Dude, we miss you when you don’t post for a while. I was scared something might have happened to you. So happy when this popped up in my feed.
Amazing mate. Any chance of doing Can't Stand The Rain and Slipped Tripped Fell In Love by Ann Peebles?
Anyone have the video of a couple of guys playing this song at a barbecue outside?
