Thank you for following me and watching this effort I embarked on. Please show me your support by SUBSCRIBING and LIKING this video. That's the best thing you can do for me. 👊
The timbre of your voice has less bass than before. Seems like I'm hearing you speaking 2 meters or so from me in a really big room. Your labor of love paid off Jay. Happy for you.
Jay, Not gonna lie - if you have superpowers, no doubt they have to be split between your Herculean work ethic and your astonishingly high threshold for quality and excellence. Nicely done room!!!! 👍⭐️🇺🇸
Amazing room and color scheme. What a transformation of a two car garage into an audiophile's paradise. I am sure the sound will be terrific with all your expert help. A music lover's dream.
It's always such a kick when the customer hears the acoustically tunes room for the first time. We always have a new pair of shorts ready for the customer. 🤩 😍
@@jaysaudiolab no. Thank you. I love what you do and the amazing dedication and hard work you’ve put into this hobby of ours. I’m a headphone guy, but that doesn’t make me like your channel any less because you are more speaker centric. Weather it is headphones or loud floorstanding speakers it is all gravy baby! Thanks again. The room treatment alone is god tier, sir. 😊
@Jay I think this is the best video you have posted on UA-cam. Your delivery was very natural and smooth, and it's clear you're proud of what you've achieved with the upgraded room. I think it was well worth the investment, and I'm glad the XVX's are now time aligned. They're considered one of the best loudspeakers in the world, and you'll now hear them at their best!
Great video. I think you should have briefly summarized the ceiling too. You talked about it in another videos but we'd like to see the finished arrangement.
I am absolutely not a hater, in fact I like what you do with your channel! For whatever reason I kind of like the old room better. But either way enjoy your new room. I also have a dedicated and treated audio room in my basement which I enjoy a lot. My son loves music so we get to spend good quality time together.
My room treatments are aimed at mitigating standing wave and bass issues. Anything more will cause the Interior Decorating division of the Spouse Police to issue arrest warrants and court ordered injunctions. Your audio room is the real deal, and to have a extensively treated, dedicated listening space is life affirming. Jay, you've done some great work here and your room is totally boss!
I thought the very same thing - too late now, of course. Though, i can say without a doubt the bass is noticeably changed/tamed. Good? Bad? … only Jay can tell. Now, though, i think he needs to get a better lav/recording system since it now sounds like a cell phone recording.
If i had a hat on my head i would take it off for you!! Amazing room acoustics! So many people don't understand that room acoustics is half the job to a good listening room!
Excellent work, congrats. Not only the room will surely sound much better but it also look neater and cozier. A room where one might love to spend time inside much more than the previous version👍
Well done Jay. Excellent work. The room looks awesome. I hope it gives you great joy. I feel very confident that the overall sound will have significantly improved. The room treatment looks highly professional 👍😎
Definitely more work than it appears, I recently purchased bass traps for my irregular ceiling, so far they are doing a fantastic job absorbing overtones...in my CD closet!!
I made myself a 🍸 for this one. Jay, you snapped on the room, man. It looks superb, and I can detect a difference in the sound just hearing your voice. Much love to you for sharing the journey. Can't wait to see what's next.
Jay, Thanks for sharing. You are a True Audiophile. Willing to make the effort. Willing to share and willing to inform. I hope to to be in touch to share with you with you my efforts.
Awesome room - I can only imagine the performance job to your system with the (let's face it) epic level of room treatment you did recently! Keep up the good work - ignore the cynics & follow your instincts if you want next level!
Wow, this is really impressive. Glad to see your new direction Jay. Cant wait to hear your thoughts and compare/contrast with your old content haha.. Your content keeps improving. Intrested to see where you go, def would like to see you get serious with your audio capture capability to really "put us in the room" with you.
Beautiful room Jay! Well designed and well executed. Just listening to this video of your new room on my laptop, tells me that of of your efforts have paid off. Your voice, timber, spatial clues, lack of echo, etc., all while you were walking around the room, sounded great . . . even through my laptop.
Jay, the room looks great I would also add that your voice sounds much more natural and I would be guessing that the sound will also sound better too Great job hope you enjoy it
Looks great! you did a great job. I know it goes without saying but I guess it can't be emphasized more- the best equipment in the world won't sound good if the room isn't treated properly. We redid our family room and took out some blinds and changed the area rug and furniture and it is amazing how much my sound system deteriorated- had to put in extensive room treatments, add new shades, put in plants, cover more of the floor etc.
Hello Jay! Your room is definitely better now than before! As far as my remote analysis from Germany. I'm a mechanical engineer, I've been playing billiards and snooker for over 30 years. I'm trying to formulate my thoughts. The walls of the room represent the boards of a billiard table. I recognize 3 different panels and a bare wall on the sides. Would we run the cushions of a pool table in 4 shapes? Each panel has a different reflection characteristic, speaks a different language. At the same time, the wall speaks German, French and Japanese. I equipped my room like this for over 6 years before I converted to my room acoustics concept. Make sure your head is calm after a listening session. If this is not the case, it could be due to the panel mix. If you are at the HighEnd in Munich in 2024, we could perhaps have a conversation about the exciting topic of room acoustics. Greeting Holger
The room looks great. I am no acoustic engineer. It looks the business and is attractive to my eye. The stands and the speakers go well together. Looks very high end and asthetically pleasing.
Congratulations, since most of what we hear is our own room, the difference is going to be huge versus what you had in the past, and it looks like it’s going to be for the better. All the electronics are stunning, and the speakers are even intimidating; I’m sure that is going to sound amazingly well!
With sufficient work, the room should be the last thing one hears, but yeah for most of us… Almost enough to turn to he dark side of headphone, but in over 60yrs I’ve only found 3 decent enough sounding ones that I could stand to wear for any length of time, so matter how otherworldly their performance might be, the comfort of my pinnas wins out.
@@fonkenful Well; yes, you're right there; when the room is perfectly treated what you hear the less is exactly the room but, having a perfectly treated room is very expensive, hard to achieve and ugly in most of the cases. As for headphones, not for me, I just have one very cheap set that I use when there's not option.
Jay you should host a show at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale. I love the MadVR. You are really going to the right place here. Your next step should be audiophile multichannel. Get a more expensive video camera with more studio lights. I really really like you. Your time is to valuable to be painting dry wall.
I saw all the changes and thought, “i surely hope Jay had the room professionally calibrated in the selection of the pieces - otherwise …geez…”. I was glad to hear a professional acoustician did the set up. Bass is dramatically changed. No way to tell if it’s good or bad - just different. Only you can tell from the pressure on your body from the playback, i think. That said, though, I believe you’ll need to up your recording game… due to the changes, your voice sounds as if you’ve recorded your vlog on a cell phone… in a large space. (Not so warm and inviting as before, for me.) I’ll be glad to hear new old music tracks you’ve presented in JAL 1.0 played here in JAL 2.0 - Then, I’ll be able to judge the difference myself…(at least from my experience listening through headphones :) )
I'll bet that your room does not have a flat response curve. Can you show the room response curve? Also, what's the RT60 look like. Please post videos of those results.
I cannot recall you ever mentioning the phono preamp you are using. I am interested to know what it is. Oh and the room looks great. A lot of work but well worth it
My gut feeling is that this must have been one of the most significant sound upgrades for you given the level od gear you're dealing with. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about how important of s change this was
Nice set up! What you using on the ceiling? I see a lot of wall treatment, but not anything on ceiling treatment. Just a thought. That gear there is like WOW!!!! Id love to hear it in person. Ill be waiting on the new amp video.
Hey Jay renovating your room for acoustic improvements is a positive move. However there is so much more to consider. Your placement of the HiFi gear is critical for the best sound experience. You have a ton of gear which is mostly metal. The more metal in the room means more colouration to deal with. Metal alters the natural tonality of voices and instruments. The more metal the greater the problem. Last but not least is the Space between your Gear and your seating position. The common approach is to do nothing in this space. This is a popular Myth. Experimentation with Acoustic Treatment in this space will result with a major increase in sound reproduction. Leaving this Space untreated means you are missing out on further improvements to the sound that can be achieved with your HiFi gear.
It looks great. One thing I’ve found is getting the listening position away from the rear wall has a massive impact on dimensionality, scale, and soundstage. No amount of treatment of the rear wall appears to bring back what is list. Looks like your seated position is just to close to the rear wall there.
Thank you for following me and watching this effort I embarked on. Please show me your support by SUBSCRIBING and LIKING this video. That's the best thing you can do for me. 👊

Excellent room tour and glad to see the CD transport in there - so now you can listen to a whole album in one go!

Nice room! I bet even my CerwinVega! Speakers would sound audiophile in there on that gear. Would be a fun test to do lol! 👍🏻🔈
That would be cool!

Right on

I bet your Martin Logan in-walls and subs used for music would be pretty impressive for a lot of people! especially with the room treatment
I still need to find out !

Nope
Looks like the real deal sir!
