In the past 7 years I have had MB, Audi, 2017 AR Guilia, and a 2018 300S with the HEMI. These were the EXACT two cars I was considering and I took the 2020 Stinger GT2 top of the line trim...I just picked the car up at the end of June in Ceramic Silver with $6700 off MSRP. This car is a true Grand Touring type car with a very refined driving experience...I fricking LOVE this car!!!

@Law Abiding I got mine mid-September 2021 on mine for below MSRP, I think the very next week at the same dealership, they had already gone up in price. I could have probably sold it for about 10k over after a few months, but I like it too damn much.
Got my stinger a couple of years ago. It's a great car and for the power it uses almost nothing in the way of fuel. Doesn't soothe your inner cave man like a v8. But it really gets badge snob type people's nose outta joint when they get smoked by a kia which kinda makes up for it.
How do you like it after owning it for a couple years? I'm currently looking at a Stinger GT, Charger R/T, Camaro LT1 and maybe a couple others like a CT4. Sedans are more preferred as it will be a DD.
@@Summit900 It's brilliant. I use it as my daily after I swapped from my SS-V Commodore (pontiac g8 over in the US). It's way more practical and almost wagon like with the back seats folded down. The back seat is an issue if you're regularly taking long trips with 5 in the car but compared to a 2 door it's way better. Fuel consumption round town is also really good too (usually about 26mpg round town and 31 on the highway).
@@katocmd I'm single/no kids. The most I'll have in the car is 1 other person, maybe 2 on extremely rare occasions. But essentially its just going to be me. Caprice PPV with blown motors going for for like $7k plus in government auctions. and a new Stinger Gt is about mid $30K here. And I'm very interested in that 10 year/100K mile warranty. I drive like 30K miles a year due to work.

I got a 2018 Stinger GT1 AWD in July of 2018. Great car with all the bells and whistles. I had the Ceramic Silver with dark tint. Beautiful car and very fast. In sport 80% of the power goes to the back so it feels like RWD. It was nice to have the AWD in the winter here in Cincinnati. Long story short I traded it for a 2020 Challenger RT Scat Pack in January. Our winters haven’t been bad the last 4-5 years so I really wanted the Scat and almost got one back in 2018. I tried to the the responsible thing having a family but I couldn’t drive past one without wishing I had it. All good now and couldn’t be happier. The Stinger has a different kinda speed then the Scat. The Scat feels much more powerful where the Stinger feels quick if that makes sense...
I’m from Cincinnati as well. Passed up on the Charger 392 for a 2021 Stinger. JB4 tuned, CAI, intercooler & catless downpipes. On the map 3 tune with mixture of E85 & 93, it is a world of difference.
That Kia is a nice looking performance car. I would definitely get one as a second car to go with my Challenger. The interior and technology looks much better than the Challenger Scat.
Another great video comparison, my man! I had zero knowledge about the Kia prior to this vid but as a proud owner of a Challenger RT I must agree completely the grumble of that V8 puts a smile on my face every single day
Fair review Stinger owner here as you can see in my profile pic. When I was searching for a new car it was between the charger scat and the Stinger Gt. I ultimately went with the Base Gt because of the AWD. I have invested in some bolt ons downpipes exhaust and intakes and am sitting at 400 Whp. Add my piggy back tune I’m at 500 to the wheels not crank. Keep this in mind guys running what I have are doing 11 1/4 times. Our Ecu hasn’t even been cracked yet 10’s with stock turbos are very possible. The car has a lot of potential hell once I’m in the 10’s I’m good fast enough for me for my daily
Right on, I finally got my GT2 AWD to test and tune night. I pulled consistent 12.9 at 108mph. It was 92 deg. All I've done is intakes and cat back exhaust. JB4 was ordered last night :)
I have a 2019 Stinger GT1 RWD living here in snow free AZ. The RWD provides ample traction, no need for AWD. It's been a great car! Thanks for the comparison though a better comparison would have been to a Charger Scatpack.
I just got the 2020 GT2 RWD. Except for the once in 100 year freak snow storms, we don’t like get much snow where I live. How does yours do in the rain?
I raced a Kia GT with the twin turbo in the quarter mile and the Kia almost had me lol. My Hellcat spins to much. But the Stinger GT is a great car. I still love the dodge better, the seats are more comfy 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@Jarmir HungI'm doing a study on how long it takes negative people to feel better about themselves since toxic UA-cam comments. It's been 3 hours since your toxic reply to something I posted two days ago. Do you feel better about yourself yet? Please be detailed in your response.
I have the Stinger GT2 and I love it. It’s an all-round player with its looks, performance as well as finesse that it offers for the price. It’s well equipped and fun to drive. Nothing against the Scat Pack. If the raw power is what you are after, that’s the car for you. Frankly, i just don’t find the interior of Mopar cars are up to par. Lots of cheap plastic everywhere with dull looks and definitely lacking fit and finish. That’s just my opinion. I am sure it’s a blast to drive nevertheless.
Honestly I find that charming at the sub 50k mark but I agree for the Hellcats and up. Muscle cars are supposed to cut corners in the interior to get you the best components where it counts! I also love how simple the interiors are. They are gimmick free and I think they will age similarly to the R34 (well) Plus the shared cheep parts from the fiat Chrysler brand will only make components cheeper down the road when they need to be replaced
I own the sting and rented the Challenger. The stinger is a better all around car for all conditions. The Challenger is a fun car but I wouldn’t want to drive it everyday. It was my favorite car growing up in the 70’s and Dodge did a great job keeping it true to the original while adding creature comforts.
Challenger on the road wins easy. However if its a daily driver then the interior and reliability favor the Stinger. 100,000 mile warranties are insane
Got a 2018 Sorento and 2019 Forte...Kia has come a long ways and great safety ratings... I was staring at the Stinger the whole time while getting the Forte :)
Was hoping my 2010 kia forte sx wasn't going to last when the stingers came out but low and behold still looks and runs like new... 140000kms. Still have the radio protector film on lol. Still want a stinger for the all wheel drive in winter
In Australia the Stinger whipped the last V8 Holden Commodore SS (Chevy SS) when they were released in 17. Some cops now have stingers as their highway cruisers. Great comparison. Love the mopar though.
I seen Australia comparisons when the kia came out. I raced a buddy who bought the awd gt when i still had my 16' SS with manual and headers. I got good launches and beat him everytime. Made me think someone was paid off to sand bag. I never never believe auto journalists.
My wife and I were literally just looking at both the Stinger GT and the Charger scat pack last week. Ended up getting a new 2021 Stinger GT RWD for 35k (MSRP was 43.7k) and we couldn't be happier. It is a great everyday driver and personally I feel the hp is likely underrated!
@@TheCTEnterprises The dealership was Mark Kia in Scottsdale Arizona and the 35k was before the usual tax, tags and title fees. We financed through Kia Motors for an additional 2k discount and then we turned around and refinanced with our credit union for a lower APR. Hope this helps!

I've had my Stinger for just over a year now. Easily the best and overall most fun car I've owned. I live in Australia and this is the first car that I could comfortably drive from Sydney to the Gold Coast (about 850KM) in one day and not be tired at the end of the drive. It's a near-perfect family/daily driver
I was on the I5 in my Porsche Pan 4S ...KIA was tailgating me and without going into sport mode I tried to get rid of it and couldnt. I told everyone it was the high insurance I was tired of paying, but it was the fact a KIA kept up with me going 120 MPH in a damn Porsche. No sir...it didnt beat me, but i didnt beat it either.
@@krimedawg10 It can be good for that. The look is way better on the Scat too. My opinion. If they would do something more aggressive with the front of the Stinger it would be a lot better.
I've been seriously considering both of these cars, the stinger gt2 is a 3.3L twin turbo awd which will blow away almost any car short of a Mopar on the road. I have a friend who has a 2020 gt2, so far he's done a catback exhaust, new fuel injectiors, air intakes and a new tune pushing about 20 psi of boost he dyno'd 446 HP which for that car is absolutely 💯
@@RacerX9 intresting piece of information it was engineered by former BMW M Vice President of Engineering Albert Biermann, with design elements from the Mercedes Benz S Class and some of the drivetrain components are heavily based on the Audi A7 and some external styling elements were inspired by the Audi RS7.
Are you sure you are not talking about spark plugs? Iv got a stinger gt2 with catback, midpipes, downpipes, spark plugs, FMIC and 3 inch charge pipes, intakes, ecu and tcu tune and I make WELL over 500whp and 550lbtq to the rear wheels. If ur friend has a jb4 boost controller terry at bms confirmed that 450hp number was wheel up, so in reality a stinger with a 400$ boost controller makes more hp and tq than a scat pack 😂
@@andrewkatkaveck7584 did you have these done under your vehicle warranty or without with??? I know most dealership will void a warranty if you do stuff to the car. I also considering get a stinger myself, also how much did you paid to get all that done to the car.

Yeah, that 10yr/100k mi. Warranty won me over. It not the highest hp machine but the fit and finish is awesome if you like the sophisticated look over the basics dodge offered inside. A year into owning my GT2 and I’m still catching people staring wondering what type of car it is.
I would have been really tempted to go scat pack but since I live in Chicago area the AWD of the Stinger GT2 is great for the winter. I’m really enjoying the car.
Kia has come a long way in the past few years, great reviews, as you know we had a 18 rt 5.7 with a stick fun to drive, then we drove and bought our 6.4 Shaker car with automatic stick is more fun adds a more control feeling with hard gears but you give up auto start, adaptive cruise which is a wonderful safety feature....Octane red scat looks rich in this color, Dodge puts down a great paint job these days.....Thanks Steve
Back when I got my Charger RT, I also test drove the Kia Stinger GT. I was quite impressed by the Stinger GT. If you step on it from a dig, it pulls pretty hard. I'd say it was harder than my car when it was stock. Definitely pulls very hard when you put your foot in it. Though I would say, when driving it normally, it didn't have that throttle response which the Hemi has, even the 5.7. That is one of the things that makes me enjoy the RT a little more. But none the less, they're still great cars. I'm glad Kia has decided to come up with something cool.
If you had aother chance to drive the stinger, but this time bring the RPM up a little, the power is readily right there! especially with the turbos spooled up.
@@craignocantsorry9277 I know. I wasn't crazy about the low end compared to the Hemi, but boy, that top end. That thing pulls like a monster. lol. Definitely a fun car. Really wish I had Jay Leno or Jeff Bezos money so I could just collect cars. :D
I have a 2019 GT2 AWD and love it. No other car checks so many boxes at once for a Dad who loves a good sporty car. It's not the ultimate end-all sports sedan but in terms of offering practicality with beauty, comfort with handling, power with efficiency, high-end luxury with affordability, it's basically unmatched in the entire car industry. Not kidding, find me another better car at it's price point that checks the same boxes.
I had (what I will now call) the privilege for a week of renting a “2021 Kia Stinger-GT 4WD Red Interior” on Turo last Friday and wow! I was beyond impressed with this thing. I fell in love with this instantaneously! So much so, that I’m actually contemplating on seriously making this beauty my next purchase. Plus, since it’s a Kia, even it being one of their top of the line vehicles it still doesn’t really break the bank when it comes to the price. And after driving that car for a week I have to say I wouldn’t blame them if they raised the price another 10-15k because of the super car feel and performance it gives you when driving it! Not to mentioned all the super hi-tech accessories, from the wireless phone charger, to the full color wheel for your choice ambient lighting, snd the safety monitors that make you so much more of a confident driver when you’re on the road! I rented a 2020 Kia sedan (think it was a forte) on Turo last month which was okay, It kind of reminds me of their Honda civic while the Kia Optima would be the Accord, which reminded me of another great feature the Stinger had along with the Forte and that was ApplePlay. I only ever seen the ApplePlay feature in Kia’s so idk if they have some type of deal or patent with Apple but wow is that feature sure as hell convenient! BTW I DO NOT WORK FOR KIA! I JUST LOVED MY EXPERIENCE IN THE 2021 STINGER GT! In sports mode I felt like I was driving a 200k+ supercar! And I dusted my friend who raced me in his 2019 Camero! BTW - Unfortunately the 2021 Kia I had rented have the normal Kia emblem on the hood. I then learned the some older models had a dope circle emblem and now all Kia’s from 2022+ have a sick new logo which goes so much better with a stinger than the normal boring old Kia logo you’d see on any of their cars
my fiance and I each have a stinger (both are gt2 awd) and we both loved your comparison, the dodge is another car we want. thanks for the awesome video.
Love all the videos. Especially the scat pack ones. Got my RT ordered and should be done in 8 weeks. Wanted the scat but finances are more important than fun. Cant wait for more content.
It's actually the opposite. With better than stock tires the 392 will win every single time in terms of 60ft and ET stock-for-stock, and mod for mod. This is because of the stupid nannies that come on the Stinger which prevent boost from launch. The Stingers on the other hand are better from a roll and trap speed wise once you start modding relative to the power. A bunch of Stingers are already trapping 120+, including a couple at 125+ AWD mind you. That's more hellcat level. The best trap you'll usually see out of bolt on/tune Scats is about 116-120 tops. Weak internals limit the 392. The Stinger on the other hand has a transmission/transfer rated at 730 WTQ (1000 NM), fully forged pistons+rods+crank good to 800+. So it's the better platform if you're gonna mod to big power.
@@ForensicVoid Thats the thing on stock tires on an unprepped surface, on the street from a stop light, the stinger will win 9 out of 10 times. you need to have drag radials or slicks from a dig and a perfect launch. People on here talking about RTs beating or keeping up with a stinger is a joke. I've beat 392's and lost to 392's never to an RT modded or stock lmao. and I've only lost to an 392's when they had a perfect launch which is not most of the time. Even when they get a perfect launch I'm still door to door or even getting slightly ahead until 90 and that hemi starts pulling me up top. The 392 traps higher stock quarter and they start walking around 90mph and up. But If the 392 slips even just a little bit from a dig its over for them. I've seen 392's come back from a slip on other cars. But the stingers mid is too much for them to make up that gap. If they slip I usually get them by a car to a car in a half sometimes 2 if the slip is bad lol. if it's door to door they will pull me up top and get me by a car. Mod for mod the stinger wins. $500 and your getting 500+ torque at the wheels in a lighter car. You're are easily slapping bolt on 392's. Like u said you are in hellcat territory at that point. And yup that 2500 rpm launch limit is a pain in the ass lol
@@amonh4258 I'm debating brake snip right now. Without it the Stinger has a pathetic 1.8-2.0 ish 60 ft. With it... Consistent 1.5-1.6. I hate the car being a dog from a dig, even with my AWD.
Scatpack is the faster car no doubt, but I’d still go with a Stinger just because of how classy and sporty it looks. Plus the Challenger is pretty overrated and is turning into what the mustang is in that everyone has one.
What’s great about the Stinger is that you can get a GT (second trim up) for 32k our the door like I did and get the same you would for a GT2 AWD! There’s no difference in driving between the both. I’m a proud owner of a 2020 Stinger after test driving a Charger RT, Audi S4, and a Honda Accord Sport, and the Stinger took the cake no problem. I absolutely love it. That 0-60 pull it has is phenomenal!
I have a 2019 Mustang 5.0 and I just drove a 2020 Kia stinger with the TwinTurbo. The mustang is definitely faster on paper but 0-60 in real life the Kia stinger felt like a space ship I guess because of the awd but it’s extremely quick. They are two very different vehicles though.
So far got a Scat as a daily to get me through school but as a daily with a family Kia Stinger is hard to beat if you want to go the luxury sedan option!
Great Video! Have wondered about the Stinger for a while now! Had no idea its price and weight were so close to the Scat Pack!! With a few mods that Stinger could upset a lot of Scats also...AWD just goes....
The Stinger he drove was the GT2 which includes more technology and specs. But the base GT( not to be confused with the GT-LINE) start at $30k with the same engine(365hp/376lbs of torque). 🙂
And I blame you, RacerX. You helped me understand the options and the daily realities of driving a scatpack, and I got a shaker 100% because of MrsX's scatpack.
ks ks it’s not always about being faster. Although you are 100% correct no matter who is driving nobody can shift a 6 speed as fast as the auto 8. BUT, the 6 speed is much more fun in my opinion. I love my 6 speed T/A 392 and would not have nearly as much fun driving it if it were an auto.
This is crazy that this video popped up on my UA-cam feed today because I am literally trying to decide between these exact two vehicles. I’m just waiting on some final lease numbers from my Dodge dealer. The lease ended on my Charger R/T just over a week ago and the plan was to get into a Challenger Scat Pack. But while I was waiting for the dealer to find me one, I came across the Stinger. Everything you said was spot on about both cars and I drove them both yesterday. Still can’t decide.....
I just picked up an awd Stinger GT yesterday. Originally had a Dodge Charger on my list but they stopped making the awd V8 back in 2014. Was looking for something I could drive all year round as I live in MN and also have a Ford ⚡ so I didn't need another rwd vehicle. Glad I went with the Stinger. New out the door was 36k. Wish I coulda found one in ceramic silver by me but it's all good. Doesn't have that awesome sounding motor like Dodge but if I wanna hear some V8 muscle plus some whine I'll pull out the ⚡
Like you said, they couldn't be any more different and is really hard to compare the two because of it. Kia has come a long way and that GT right there is proof of that fact, so you gotta give them credit for the improvement. Because they were the laughing stock of the automotive industry at one time, along with parent company Hyundai and were at the center of many jokes. I've always looked at Asian vehicles as very good transportation and practical. Although most are kind of on the boring side, but that one is in a class of its own with it's brembo's etc and is really impressive. It would be a better match up with an RT as far as performance numbers and the scat would destroy it, but still got to give those South Korean auto manufacturers credit for being much-improved. It's kinda of a German design performance-wise, but with Asian reliability and is a great recipe for a winner
Remember the line " See him on TV any given Sunday, win the superbowl and drive off in a Hyundai.," That lyric was dropped in 2005. That line sounds stupid 15 years later with what the company has done. Amazing what can be done in 15 years
I crossed shopped the Charger scatpack with the stinger GT1 and got the Stinger. My sister in law has a 2018 charger scatpack and I drove it often', love the sound but it is too bulky for me. I love the fact that I don't see a Stinger at every street corner.
I was comparing a Charger Scat Pack against the Stinger GT1. Such a tough tough tough choice to make. I desperately want that V8 grumble, but given I wanted a high performing daily driver that I will likely not spend much on modification wise as my Daily I went with the additional utility of the liftback. At some point I feel like I need both vehicles in the stable! Love the video!
The Kia Stinger GT is the car BMW used to build. Fun and engaging. Now BMW feels like you’re in a video game....this comes from a longtime BMW driver. I drove Scat Pack Challenger/Charger, Stinger, Camaro, before picking a 19 Mustang GT last year. All great. IF the Stinger made the fun noises the Detroit cars make, there might be one in my driveway. Great video!!!
Used to work at kia in Fort Worth. And one time there was a Kia stinger I had to work on and when I got finished with it I had taken it to the customer and the customer was a cop, and he said did you get on that pedal I was like kinda hard not to, he said hell yeah.
Kia really came a long way. Rumor is the sales numbers are down on the Stinger. I think they should get rid of all the Kia emblems all over the car. The name Kia comes with some negative opinions and connotations of slow, cheap cars. I almost bought the less expensive Stinger, but opted for the 2019 RT Charger. For the money Dodge was giving me everything but the kitchen sink and the added value and discounts won it for Dodge. I would consider one in the future though.
I like it when you say am gonna drive that scatpack down the road and tell you how it feels.. as if you don't know 😂. I like how honest and impartial are you man. I love the challenger and will go with it any day but fully agree with how you summed it up on the Kia. The most honest and respectful youtuber out there. Keep it up Racer X.
I've modded out my R/T. Exhaust cats hollowed out and high flow exhaust, resognators delete, K &N Cai, Catch can, Bkk pro series throttle body, throttle body spacer, higher flow fuel injectors, along with high flow fuel rails, a 93 tune. I raced one of the highest trim and had 2 car lengths on it at 139 mph. He never led me and hung most of the time till he spooled out. I imagine with bigger turbos it would of beaten me. But my mods made a world of difference. Go Mopar!!
I think a comparison between the charger four-door RT scat pack in the Kia stinger GT would be a much more appropriate comparison as both have four doors at least.
One thing that always blew me away about the Stinger, N/S engine placement, it's something you definitely wouldn't expect from Kia, or an import company, the 3.3ltr is probably one of the best engines Hyundai/Kia has ever put out. I really wish the Stinger came in manual, but that's just never gonna happen, which for me, the Challenger will always be a winner in my book....
The stinger gt and g70 (3.3l tt) once somebody start making aftermarket turbo kits for them will easily brake 750hp at the wheels. They come with forged internals from the factory surprisingly.
The Stingers are better compared to a Charger. I had just gotten my hands on my first V8 Charger after having two V6's. A 2009 R/T & love it, then 2 days later, I traded my daily, a 2020 Forte GT-Line, for a "brand new" 2018 Stinger GT2.
I swore off domestics in 2006 because of reliability issues and frequent recalls. I would pick the Stinger for it's warranty coverage and it looks better than the Challenger. I've owned a Ford, Dodge, Pontiac, Lincoln and a Chevy and though they ride nicely the reliability is a bit below foreign cars.
Love that you said that you're in North Texas. Just watched your video on 60 to 130 with the RT, Scat Pack, and threw in your Hellcat. Must have cost a fortune to get all those cars to "Mexico " ! Lol 😆
That was a cool video, very interesting I love learning about all the different cars and how much horsepower they have and what they can do, always enjoy the videos, you and your family have a great Fourth of July!🇺🇸
This isn’t saying much since I’m in a SXT, but a guy in a brand new Stinger over a year ago was coming up behind me on the highway I was going 133 and he still blasted past me. I mean blasted past me. My pride was crushed for a solid month after.
Yeah those things are faster than a Mustang GT and the SRT 392's in a quarter mile which Dodge hones it head on. Tested one with my cousin last year in which I wasn't a fan of before hand but after the test drive i thought to myself, how did I not look at this car.. I may have to get it for my next vehicle because how impressed I was. If there is one thing that stood out is the 60-??? comes on fast and unnoticeable.
Ive owned a 2018 TA392, 2015 Charger RT, still have a 2018 Durango RT and a 2021 Stinger GT AWD. The Stinger will dominate any Dodge 5.7 model, however the scat has a edge imho except from a dig if you have the awd stinger. Being my stinger is my daily driver for year round use in Wi, the stinger was the hands down better choice for our climate. The stinger will beat a scat up here over half the time just due to road conditions! If i lived down south I probably wouldve went scat, although fuel milage wise im also glad to be driving the 6 banger right now. If i really want to mess with the big mopars on the nice days, i get my tuned Supra out lol.
@@JVeleta11 depends on the year of the car the newer chargers might only be 1/2 sec slower but the earlier ones with the 6sp were pretty slow. The stinger kinda falls right in between the new RT and Scat Pac, and easily equals the scat with a $500 programmer. Thing is the stinger doesnt need a good driver to drive it fast off a light with the advantage of awd if so equipped.
Y didju choose a Challenge instead of a Charger for the comparison? They seem to be more closely aligned. I cross shopped the Charger and Stinger with a bunch of other vehicles. The ride in the Charger was really nice. Ultimately the interior trim quality & the lack of all season traction kicked the Charger out of the running.
The 392 Hemi is a very well optimized engine for the challenger it runs reaaally well for it's size I still want one with a 6 speed manual. Great video! :)
Stinger GT with awd and 2k in mods will Yield over 450whp and 500+wtorques. Living in the north east. It’s a better choice for year round hooligan-ness.
Got a Stinger GT1 when they came out and its a different car. I own a foxbody GT and had a 2016 mustang GT and you just cant compare the stinger to muscle cars. Its very quick and very quiet. But it rides so much better than muscle cars.
Hey, RacerX-I was at Huffines Dodge Plano a few days ago talking to Drew about ordering a 2021 Challenger SRT Super Stock and he told me about your channel and showed me some pics of your awesome souped-up Charger Hellcat. It's funny, because I own both a 2016 Challenger Hellcat (Purple) and a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD (Blue). Love both cars, but it's time for a 100hp upgrade on the Hellcat! Hope to see you around, I live in the North Carrollton area. Cheers.
@@RacerX9 Next time:) I would love to see how they stack up against each other in the real world, from a dig, and from a roll. Keep up the good content!
I like them both, but they are way overpriced IMO. I've been shopping for a Challenger for awhile, but can't decide on a trim. I like the regular scat like this one with the brass monkey wheels, but they get you on the options. Its actually cheaper to get the 1320 package as they don't charge extra for the adaptive damping and you don't get stuck with summer tires, convenience group, ect. I'm trying to find either a 1320, wide body or 50th at at least 8k off in one of the colors I like. If they don't want to deal, oh well, there are other dealers that will and there is always another Mustang or maybe the 400z is worth waiting for.
4 door sedan vs a 2 door. My opinion, I would have loved to have seen a comparison with the charger instead. I’m stuck between the charger and stinger. Solid review though. Subscribed.
You can check out my vids.An AWD Stinger will outrun most RWD V8 muscle cars. Better reliability and handling and quality.I also just drove thru the remanants of claudette today in my stinger--1 to 2 inches standing water after 24 hours of rain and I went the speed limit with no problem.BTW a most public drags--you either run on street tires or drags and my Stinger on street tires was faster then probably 65 to 70% of the cars that ran in that division.I also have a video of the staging area to show the array of cars my stinger was near and had to race--nothing but 400 to 700 HP V8s and I went 3-0 and won all 3 races I was in.

Excellent assessment .. I agree
scat is feces.... i can never get over the use of this term.
I had zero knowledge about the Kia prior to this vid but as a proud owner of a Challenger RT I must agree completely the grumble of that V8 puts a smile on my face every single day
Absolutely my friend 👍
TCT Knives nice bro just got my JB4 today can’t wait to install. Good luck
I have a 2019 Stinger GT1 RWD living here in snow free AZ. The RWD provides ample traction, no need for AWD. It's been a great car! Thanks for the comparison though a better comparison would have been to a Charger Scatpack.

@@greatlordpasta I'm just happy you smoked the stinger....I hate them, just saying.

The stinger is a fantastic platform.. love the fit and finish

Coming from a guy raised in a muscle car family, I'm a Stinger GT2 fan all the way. I bought a used one last year.

Not kidding, find me another better car at it's price point that checks the same boxes.
I had (what I will now call) the privilege for a week of renting a “2021 Kia Stinger-GT 4WD
Red Interior” on Turo last Friday and wow!

Scat will win the 1/4 but the 8th the stinger might get it by a bumper 😂. Cause once that boat take off it’s gone. 😂
I would say thats about right lol
Anonymous they already did it on the 1/8 top speed plays a role in a 1/4
It's actually the opposite.

Why wouldn’t you put it up against a charger instead?
I was actually going to but they didn't have one available. They had a used 2016 but that was not what I was going for

Ordered my 2020 challenger scatpack shaker manual with dynamics package in Frostbite. They are saying 6 weeks.
And I blame you, RacerX. You helped me understand the options and the daily realities of driving a scatpack, and I got a shaker 100% because of MrsX's scatpack.
Haha .. nice glad I could bring you over to the dark side
Just a quick heads up. Manual is a disadvantage. 6 speed VS 8 in an automatic. I'd pay a tad more to have a broader power rage and quicker shifts.
ks ks it’s not always about being faster. Although you are 100% correct no matter who is driving nobody can shift a 6 speed as fast as the auto 8. BUT, the 6 speed is much more fun in my opinion. I love my 6 speed T/A 392 and would not have nearly as much fun driving it if it were an auto.
Manual isn’t a mistake if you know how to drive and appreciate the meld between driver and car. I ordered a T/A in March didn’t get it till July.
This is crazy that this video popped up on my UA-cam feed today because I am literally trying to decide between these exact two vehicles.
Doesn't have that awesome sounding motor like Dodge but if I wanna hear some V8 muscle plus some whine I'll pull out the ⚡
The stinger is a sweet ride as far as I'm concerned
Perfectly said my friend.. agree 100%
Remember the line " See him on TV any given Sunday, win the superbowl and drive off in a Hyundai.," That lyric was dropped in 2005. That line sounds stupid 15 years later with what the company has done. Amazing what can be done in 15 years
That stinger is a great looking car and great warranty as well. Or get a tune and then that stinger will be flying
I crossed shopped the Charger scatpack with the stinger GT1 and got the Stinger. My sister in law has a 2018 charger scatpack and I drove it often', love the sound but it is too bulky for me. I love the fact that I don't see a Stinger at every street corner.
I think they are both great.. It really comes down to personal preference.
The Stinger comes with a 10 year 100k mile warranty, which is a huge piece of mind...What is the dodge? I own a Stinger so i'm a little bias...lol
Yes the warranty of the Kia's is amazing
They would not cover my engine that seized at 49k... It's b.s. try making a claim they'll fight it.
SWP GT1 here!
It's a sedan though.
I would take the Stinger every day! The fit and details are much better and yes it’s a blast to drive!
There is no comparison really, the Kia out performs the Challenger on every level.
The stinger might just be my next car...but Great video as always✨
Why do you think the stinger will beat a Charger R/T? What mods could I add to beat the stinger?
Could not be more different but two of my favorite cars!!
I agree David
Used to work at kia in Fort Worth. And one time there was a Kia stinger I had to work on and when I got finished with it I had taken it to the customer and the customer was a cop, and he said did you get on that pedal I was like kinda hard not to, he said hell yeah.
LOL.. hard to know how to answer that
Kia really came a long way.
Preciate the upload , gave me something to watch while I eat dinner
No worries..
Stinger is 4.7 0-60. That’s fast. It’s a better car all around than the Scat Pack Charger. I had a 2019 scar pack.
I love them both... very different cars
And the widebody only made it better 😁
the stinger is a very Gr8 car
Whenever I break into the engine of my RT to give it some chop the Stinger is what id like for a daily
Stinger is better. Chargers are nice but not in Stingers class.
This Kia amazes me.
Awesome been wanting to see this comparison
It was a fun comparison
That V-8 rumble SOLD me; the stinger would make a nice daily though .
I like the look of the Challenger, but why are people telling me the dodge should come with a bus pass or Lyft app?
I swore off domestics in 2006 because of reliability issues and frequent recalls. I would pick the Stinger for it's warranty coverage and it looks better than the Challenger. I've owned a Ford, Dodge, Pontiac, Lincoln and a Chevy and though they ride nicely the reliability is a bit below foreign cars.
Was waiting for a drag race, thats the real reason i come here😢
I went with the Stinger GT2 for the warranty and the gas milage I would save. But im not going to lie, I really wanted that Scat Pack
Exactlyyyyyy I love my stinger but at the same time I love the scat even though I get A LOT of compliments in my stinger
I have a TrackHawk and love it. But my wife was wanting a new smaller sedan to replace the Avenger R/T. We go the Stinger GT1. We both love it.
Thanks buddy.. have a safe holiday
The 2021 durango with the hellcat engine 💪🏾💪🏾
SRT Durango review coming soon
I may be trading my DDSRT for the kitty version. I cant wait!
Kia makes the best car amplifiers in the world and my 2021 Stinger GT feels as solid as my old 2016 Lexus GS did.. just much much much more power.
I think comparing it to an RT would of been better. The stats are much closer in regard to weight and hp.
Stinger smokes 392 just saying
Sorry can't beat that Hemi V8 sound no matter what trim!!!
If there is one thing that stood out is the 60-??? comes on fast and unnoticeable.
what a great and true blue review. Never change your style...
@@JVeleta11 a good second quicker, and a simple $500 tuner makes it scat pack quick plus you get awd as a bonus.
i just got a 18' gt2, was wondering how well itd do
Stinger GT with awd and 2k in mods will
Yield over 450whp and 500+wtorques.
Cheers.
Awesome stuff my friend.. It sounds like you have good taste in cars lol.. Hopefully I will catch you around
No race??
I couldn't get a race in with these this time.. I shot this one solo lol
Challenger owner here. Kia is definitely nice and fast. However I just love the look of the challenger! Guess it just depends on your preference... great video as always!
Love watching the motivation man.
Man KIA sure has come a long way , my buddies wife has a KIA and it’s a great car on the HWY and for the city . However it’s still not my choice but what cool comparison . Cheers
Thanks Mike.. Yes the Kia's have really come a long way
Had a 2018 Optima was going to upgrade to Stinger. Ended up moving over to the Charger then Challenger Scat. Glad I made that choice
Have you compared the scat to an ss sedan?
Or r/t to g8?
Dammit the other racer X lol beat me too it😂
At least you are a texan
