Thanks for the tour! We just watched and re-played the bathroom segment again. Weird! I'm not jazzed about it but it would be a deal-breaker for my wife.
@@jimloth6091 Yeah it was our least favourite part about the room. Not a deal-breaker for us, but probably wouldn't go out of our way to cruise on this ship again.
The bathroom layout is what I love about the Epic. I'm not a fan of the dividing curtain but can see the need if you're traveling with a friend instead of a life partner.
I would say the room is remarkable. It's equipped with everything you could possibly need, and even though it's compact, it's incredibly stylish. The balcony is a standout feature, providing a generous space to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. As for the bathroom design, it's perfectly fine with me. two thumbs up!
😆 so I do remember the room layout, specifically the bathroom situation, to be odd, but I forgot how weird it was! Despite this we would cruise on the Epic again 😁
We are booked on a November 24 cruise on the Epic. Not crazy about the room design, but we like to try as many ships as possible. Been married 40+ years so not a big deal.
The sofa has multiple hidden cabinets and drawers for storage , your video is just missing showing that . I was kind of bummed about the lack of storage until I saw it in someone else's video . Not a ton more , but the back of the sofa pulls away to reveal more storage and the base of sofa has drawers :)
Has anyone traveled during January and experinced severe waves or boat movement? Room arrangement is very odd but only sleeping in there so wouldn't be a deal breaker if the rest of the amenities are good
Yes, you are right. This cabin was really weird. I'm traveling on the Norwegian Epic and I have a solo studio cabin. I think I'll keep it. Also the cabin you stayed in I find that it should be more for a solo traveller.
The cabin is quiet fine yeah some spaces are not upto the mark. I think they made it after watching 5 minutes hack😀 Your tour is really good and so detailed that it gives perfect idea of this cabin. Thanks for giving us honest review
I feel like I would settle for no lower than a balcony cabin if I did a cruise. Just because I was would want access to fresh air. The room seems cozy enough. I appreciate all the amenities in the room. A bit tight on the floor space. That bed looks comfy. Yeah that balcony is my favorite part.
We agree about the balcony, although for some ships and itineraries I'd consider an interior or oceanview to save some money. Many ships have humidor rooms or cigar lounges. Or designated smoking areas.
Thank you for this! We will be on there next Feb, right down the hall in 13248, in a room identical to yours. Actually has been hard to find videos about these rooms. It will our first on Epic, really looking forward to it. The bathroom situation is weird, but for a married couple I think we can tough it out for a week lol.
The room isn't as bad as some make it out to be. It's definitely weird and lacking any sort of privacy if you're with friends or a new couple. Hope you have a great cruise and that the bar lines are short for you!!
It's a small room, but I have a feeling that everything you need is right there! It's not like you spend a lot of time inside the room... I think so anyway! 😊
Wow, this has to be one of the most unique cruise cabins I've ever seen! Balcony views are great. 😲 . Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm curious, would you consider staying in a cabin like this again in the future? Keep up the great work!
The design of the bathroom in the room is very odd. Like why is the bathroom part of the entry way. Definitely awkward. The balcony is a nice addition of the room. And I love those hooks that you brought for additional hanging. I will need to add that to my list of things to buy.
The magnetic hooks are a game changer for easy to access wall storage - got them on Amazon. And that bathroom was the weirdest one I've ever seen on a cruise ship!
agree the balcony is the best thing about the layout, otherwise it does not seem like a good use of a small space, and the bathroom/shower situation is definitely... eccentric?
I think there were some good storage areas, and we had everything we needed but did not enjoy that bathroom. They could have used the space a bit better.
My husband and I are cruising on Epic in December 2024, we did not choose this ship our travel companions chose it. We both dread the bathroom situation.
It wasn't too bad... just a little awkward at first. We are boarding the Breakway today and hope that the public areas aren't as crammed together like on the Epic.
i went on it to and there are multiple rooms my brothers shared a room and they got a much better layout but i got the same one as her and i still loved it and there are like a bunch of the special cabins and they arent that more depending on; what one u get i had an amazing time on the cruise and i have cruised before that so ik what a good cruise was it was a little rocky but it wasnt to bad
I'd say we like Norwegian (cruised with them 5 times), Royal (3 times and one booked for 2025), then Princess (2 cruises). But I'd like to try Celebrity one day and MSC.
There is a reason this has no "sister ship" lol.. Silly French design.. I can see plusses and minuses on the layout.. But the biggest issue I have is the making sure you plan it so someone doesnt come back to the room after you got out of the shower and may be standing right in the entrance lol..
So I do appreciate when the shower and toilet are in separate sections, but this is NOT what I envisioned LOL. I have been on a lot of cruises and I have never seen anything like that. Could someone be sitting on the sofa and you have the wardrobe doors open - it doesn't look like enough space there for that. Another weird choice!
It was definitely an odd set up for sure. And the curved couch was not comfortable for sitting on for watching TV because of the curve. Not that we spent time watching TV, but just an observation! And the bathroom was so weird!!
Good video very informative. I was wondering if this was the cruise that went to Cozumel, Georgetown , Ocho Rios and great stirrup cay if so, can you tell me what the tender situation is like? I’m claustrophobic and I know sometimes the tender is completely enclosed I was just wondering if any of these tenders on this cruise Are enclosed or are they all open?
Yep that was the cruise!! The tenders we had were all open air, not the life boats like they use sometimes. The tender situation in Great Stirrup Cay was a bit chaotic to say the least and delayed due to weather conditions. In Georgetown it was absolutely fine. My video about our time in Georgetown will be up tomorrow morning and I share the tender boat experience. And I posted a video on GSC also sharing our tender boat rides if you want to check them our!
For the ‘water closet’ (toilet room), did you find that you could hear ‘noise’; say if someone had a rough tummy, or was the frosted glass door good at keeping the sounds in? (I know that this is a weird question - but for friends sharing a cabin, especially if one has tummy issues - this is a concern). 😊
@@TheAverageTourist OK whew.. We have 3 of us going in December and we REALLY need that under bed storage. Thanks for the videos! Getting us pumped for our trip!
Nice video. What was your impression of the ship overall. I have seen some walk thru videos and the ship seems to be showing some wear and tear. I am sailing 2026, I understand it will have a refurb in April 2025. Wondering what overall shape the ship is in. Thanks
In general the ship seemed to be in good condition. Better than the Oasis of the Seas that we were on in October. I wonder if the refurb will change any of the layout to create more space between some of the bars. I found this ship seemed very compact and it created a lot of crowding in the public areas.
Thanks for responding. This is good information. I appreciate it. I’ve been on four NCL ships. All of them were great. I was just a little concerned about this one. I feel better now, I’m sure the refurbishment will only help.
I couldn’t share this cabin with anyone. I was thinking of doing this cruise with someone but after seeing this layout, I don’t even think I could do it with myself. It’s small and the bathroom setup is appalling.
What do you think of this cabin? Would the bathroom design be a yay or nay for you?
Thanks for the tour! We just watched and re-played the bathroom segment again. Weird! I'm not jazzed about it but it would be a deal-breaker for my wife.

1st time on the Epic. I wonder why Norwegian choose the odd design. None of the other ships I have been on have that layout.
@@dalastson yeah definitely a swing and miss on their part!

Yes the room was pretty stylish and modern looking. We didn't mind the bathroom, just not our favourite layout. I really liked the balcony!
Awesome views from the balcony!
Definitely 👌
😆 so I do remember the room layout, specifically the bathroom situation, to be odd, but I forgot how weird it was! Despite this we would cruise on the Epic again 😁
Haha yeah that bathroom wasn't an ideal scenario. But we liked the ship in general. However I do prefer larger ships I think!
It’s pretty cool how you give us a tour of all these cruise, makes me want to get on a cruise
You should go on one! If I remember correctly you're in California? Great cruises leave from LA to the Baja peninsula.
That's a bigger room than what we stayed in during our cruise journey. The balcony looks good. Enjoyed the tour.
Thanks! It was well laid out in terms of space usage and lots of storage.
We are booked on a November 24 cruise on the Epic. Not crazy about the room design, but we like to try as many ships as possible. Been married 40+ years so not a big deal.
Sounds like it won't be a issue then! We didn't mind it and agree, it's nice to try out different ships. Have a great cruise!
Another excellent review
Your room is wow it has absolutely everything and pretty too even though compact.
The balcony is great.
Yes compact but had everything I could need - plugs by the bed would have been a plus though.

Do the Cruise ships have a place for smoking a cigar?
We agree about the balcony, although for some ships and itineraries I'd consider an interior or oceanview to save some money. Many ships have humidor rooms or cigar lounges. Or designated smoking areas.

Yes lots of storage in this cabin so that's great.

We barely spend time in our cabin so it worked for us. We liked having the balcony space.
Bathroom layout would be great for families, looks great!
Yes for families it could be much more convenient.
I’m actually loving the amount of storage. Will be needed for us. Did you bring those little magnetic hooks on the door?
Yep! We ordered a pack on Amazon and use them on every cruise, so handy!
Thanks so much for this video, it answered a lot of questions!!!
Do you all have a favorite cruise line?
Great video 👍 💯
Thanks! We really like Norwegian and Royal so far.
Wow, this has to be one of the most unique cruise cabins I've ever seen! Balcony views are great. 😲 . Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm curious, would you consider staying in a cabin like this again in the future? Keep up the great work!
Yes it was quite unique in the layout. I'd probably stay in a cabin like this again as long as I knew the person I was staying with lol
Thanks for sharing! Great tour! 😄
Thanks for watching!

Your video helped me make up my mind NOT to travel on the Epic. Weird set up not for me. Thank you for your helpful observations.
It's definitely not for everyone! We still had a great trip but wouldn't go out of our way to book this ship in the future.

The cabin looks cozy, the bathroom experience takes a bit getting used to. The rest of the room and balcony look great though.
It was pretty nice overall, just not the biggest fan of that bathroom! Could have been much worse though. And we loved the balcony.
Enjoyed it again.
Thanks for the support.
Such a larger cabin. Too much furniture for storage that could have been open space but it's fine.
We liked all the storage options. Helped keep things out of the way
Looks lovely
Thanks! We enjoyed it.
You like Norwegian and Royal.. Do you like Princess? Out of all three which do you like best in which order
I'd say we like Norwegian (cruised with them 5 times), Royal (3 times and one booked for 2025), then Princess (2 cruises). But I'd like to try Celebrity one day and MSC.

Not a weird question at all given the layout of the room. You could definitely hear 'noise' even with the curtain drawn across to create more privacy.
Thanks for the reply - that helps narrow down the choices for a future cruise😊
Question: Was there no storage area under bed for luggage?
I think there was, we just didn't use it.

Is there a coffee maker in the room?
We didn't see one, but if you wanted one you could ask your room steward if it's possible to get one.

Definitely not for everyone. Even with the two of us it was kind of awkward and weird!
Is this a club balcony or regular balcony?
I booked balcony gurarantee and believe this is a regular balcony.
Definitely a strange layout! Looks too cramped for me!
It's not for everyone!
The sofa is convertible in bed?
I don't think so... didn't look like it.
Any usb ports?
None that we found during our stay
I usually cruise solo, so that cabin won't bother me.
Definitely works for a solo cruiser!

That is the dumbest design for a bathroom, LOL
I'd have to agree! At least they had glass doors. 😳
Background music/noise is awful. I’m out and not subscribing.
