I love the Audi Q8, it’s a really cool SUV that’s sporty yet practical.
They both look great, but I'd take the Q8.
the q8 compete with the x6
and the x7 compete with the q7
@@mano23937 Correct. The Q8 and X7 do not line up exactly, however, they are priced very similarly and lined up as their respective brands' flagships. Audi chose to make it the stylish option and BMW lined it up to be their biggest SUV
I think the Q8 really should be called Q6
Actually imo Q8 competes with X5 and GLE. It is not a true 3 box design like BMW X6.
They needed to call this Q6, so:
Q5 X3 (compact)
Q6 X5 (midsize)
Q7 X7 (full size)
Ilipan the GLE and x6 are basically the same car design & size mate... the q8 lines up with the x6 and Gle not the x5.

X7 is great and all but the q8 is just such a good looking car. I would defiantly go for a q8 if I had not just gotten a q7.

Great review! You are correct about auto-stop at a light. The front camera monitors the car in front of you. Used to turn auto-stop off in my 2016 A7 but auto-start is almost seamless in the Q8.

Both cars have their good qualities, but one thing is that the BMW X7 is 3 row aside from the Q8. The q8 is more aggressive looking on my opinion but I wound prefer the BMW x7. Just for practically. I love the technology on both cars too. It’s really getting advanced

The BMW X7 has an odd grille design and the Audi Q8 has a strange design carried over from the Lamborghini Urus. I like them both to be honest.

I loved the comparison. To the most part. One thing and only one thing I hated was that almost all of Audi’s points were in increments of .5 but for the BMW even small stuff would increment a whole point.

I don't know why people compare the Q8 to the X7. The X7 is a full size suv. The X6 ,GLC and Q8 is a better comparo. The X7 and GLS is a better match. Even the Q7 is not a full size SUV. The xc90, Q7 even mdx is the same class.
I wonder if the GLS450 will top both vehicles
The Q8 's safety system needs to be better integrated.
I traded my 2016 Audi A7 for the 2019 Q8 and the safety features on the Q8 are light years ahead of my 2016. By the way, I also had a 2016 BMW 650i and safety and BMW 650 should never be used in the same sentence...lol!

If you gonna get points for BMW extra row of seats then why compare the 2 cars because they have different intentions?
As a BMW owner of a 3 Series and X5, BMW has a reputation and from personal experience of their cars falling apart electrically and mechanically right at the end of the warranty period. I was told that Audi was far worse than BMW. At $90,000, I want that Q8 to be worry-free. It seems the more expensive a car is, the more prone it is to repairs.
I like both a lot, but have to choose the Audi in this comparison. However, I would skip both in favor of the 2019 VW Touareg with the 4 litre V8 TDI. You just can’t argue with the torque numbers and mpg, not to mention the lower price point and the Bentley Bentayga DNA.

You should have reduced 1 point off BMW for wrinkles on rear seats. I can't believe BMW still has same issue with their leather on rear sits, this problem exist on x7 and x5. Just google "x5 G05 rear seats wrinkles"..
