  • This is a show I filmed in Mola di Bari (Puglia), Italy, when I visited Nonna Giacomina and together we cooked a very traditional dish from Mola: Cucuzze, Patate e Fave - Butternut Squash, Potatoes and Fava Beans.

its so difficult to find videos of true Italians, speaking Italian, and while in Italy. I visited Italy and loved the culture so much I had to bring some back with me by trying to learn the language and these videos really help.

How did I miss this one? What a beautiful story this is. Beautiful Italian women preparing wonderful Italian dishes is my definition of Heaven on Earth! P.S. H/T to Nonno!

Love the old man!!! You know he probably taught nonna a thing or two in the kitchen. Acts like he don't know nothing but when it's not proper he'll say something funny!! I understand Nonna preddy good. Nice!!! Grazie Mille!!!

This is what I've been looking for. An Italian cooking show with "momma."
Cooking the way it's done in Italy. Thanks and I'm glad I found your show.
    Please don't stop.

Rosella, I love the fact that you're keeping the traditions alive in the old school cooking techniques showcasing these national treasures that are our Nonnas! As people become more reliant on prepared foods, there is a risk that our nonna's ways in the kitchen will be lost forever! Your show is keeping the traditions alive, and as a soon to be nonna myself, I feel it's important to teach my granddaughter how to be self-reliant in making her own food.

My Mom knew your Mom from Mola & made many of the same recipes. We were in Barnes & Noble passing the time. I gave her some recipe books to look at. She said I know this woman, she's my friend from Mola ! So, I bought the book as a gift to her.

Brings back memories of when I went to Italy as a kid. We were somewhere in the Alps! I distinctly remember getting a crash course in Italian a couple of nights before and also building a snowman family at the hotel, which we later returned to find improved upon by another family :)

We have similar family gatherings like that in America. Unfortunately many families in the USA eat bad processed foods and have little interest in cooking something good.

I had a Barese friend when I was a teenager. My family is from Campagna. I can tell Giacomina was happy to take her grand daughters to the market. Even as she complained that the market stalls weren't as plentiful. She loved being with both of you. Your cousin is very shy.
