When we travelled from USA back to China in 2018, my daughter got sick(stomach ache), we checked in an emergency room in hospital in ShangHai, with our passport, see the doctors, did blood test, got blood tests results, then got medicine, 2 hours, cost around $20. my friend told me that they were in Guangzhou a few years ago, his wife got sick and went to the public hospital. total cost RMB$6 !!!! However, my concern is those with serious illness, it would cost them $$$$ to get treatments. China is improving and I hope it will keep on improving. love from canada.

My former colleagues here in the West need to wake-up, learn the TRUTH about this incredible country, and humble ourselves to LEARN from them. My friends in China have technology and research methods so much more advanced that we have here in the US. And the recent reforms to China’s healthcare system, have made these advances available to almost everyone in the country. China has learned the valuable lesson of what alleviating poverty and making affordable healthcare available to all citizens-lifts EVERYONE up, lessens or gets rid of the common issues associated with poverty and enables everyone to participate and share in the prosperity and health. 中国加油！💪🏼❤️🇨🇳☮️

If the West have started to make studies on Eastern knowledge like yoga, mediation, accupunture, rebirth or karma etc since they heard of them, they will be further ahead and China will never have catch up to no.1 so soon, maybe never.

As someone who was in medicine since the 1970’s; I personally witnessed my country’s healthcare system go from a PATIENTS FIRST to, sadly, PROFITS OVER PATIENTS. The older I get, the more I realize that this greed, arrogance, ignorance and hypocrisy infecting my country is unsustainable. Although I personally didn’t get into yoga, meditation and alternative medicine until about 25yrs ago; I’ve always kept an open mind, always pushed for healthcare as a Human Right, and was as active as a volunteer as I was in my medical career. These same people are screaming about ANY type of even minor restrictions on gun ownership-like background checks, or not allowing mentally ill to own guns, or they wouldn’t even agree to a law preventing known terrorists or domestic violence aggressors to have firearms. Yet..these exact same people claim to be “right to LIFE”? Those same people are also against making healthcare itself a RIGHT. HOW can you have LIFE WITHOUT HEALTH?!?! Sorry..I just saw an alert..yet ANOTHER mass shooting in my country..and I’m SURE, NOTHING will change. 😔

in my canadian city. to see a doctor in an emergency dept, the wait would be 6-8 hours ( unless it is an absolute emergency like heart attack and stroke), I wonder how long they have to wait in china ??? i do believe technology definitely helps and here in Canada, it is a bit slow. no defined future planning (if they had learned from SARS, the plan would have been much better response. instead, covid-10 is hitting daily record high now). love from canada.
