one thing I’d say is an interesting application of engineering to the medical field is ‘automated’ medical testing, which is basically where you have lots of robots and machines testing patient samples (kind of like how a factory works). there’s a company in the state of Tennessee that called Pathgroup that does this kind of thing. If i’m not mistaken, they test upwards of 20 thousand patient samples per day (patient samples can be from blood, regular tissue samples, or even urine). the facility I went to even has their own medical staff to distribute and double check the accuracy of the test results. It’s a surprisingly complex operation and is so large that it requires almost constant maintenance simply due to the large number of machines that are there.

But where do you go or who do you see, if you want somebody to create a prototype of your medical invention idea?

Please tell me if you discover the answer as it sounds like you've discovered a medical invention.
JUST heard how this fella created his own medications & and is perfecting one like in the movie limitless (NZ...?). It seems a lot of medications try to put that label next to the drug for a selling point so we'll see if something like this can become a cognitive expander, but heck, we have AI to do all that lol only joking.
I would LOVE to create specific medications catered to my desires, but also ones that specifically target areas in my brain that are clearly having issues 😂
The closest thing that I found to navigate the brain and find out which medications mentally wise might work for a person is the SPECT scan. A lotta moola to workout, and I just got approved by pre-op to have an MRI via my psyche provider but that's not what I'm after school I'm going to see if I can change what I need: fMRI, PET, CT, and other means of at least finding biomarkers I could track down the years, finding a specific medication for ailments that ail me was prob insinuated in the first two letters of that word...I am not AI yet haha but it would be wonderful to be able to work with somebody who is knowledgeable in brain expertise, and would work with a poor, humbleness joker like me.
...on the verge of suicide. many attempts that landed me in the hospital with life-saving measures. I was going to die. The misery of my misery was so deep and in that deep hole, I wasn't able to see the light of day if that makes sense. So if I was going to die anyway, why not use my brain to have somebody poke around in there (reminds me of a lobotomy lol that's it from they used a lot. I would take one of those I've asked for ECT which help my grandpa immensely, but I was declined by several psychiatrists due to the memory impairment. I shared a room in a psych ward with a girl that had it and she agreed that it was just horrible on her memory so perhaps it was best not to have it. I do have an at home ECT kit were you with the sponges hook up to your temple area and Crank it up! Not high though. Again, another modification I need help with to do. Whenever I try to do it myself, I end up with a broken product. Perhaps a product that was useless anyway, oops, I am referring to myself on accident haha ha.
Anyway, I've been seeing a psychiatrist for years and I went to his office and proposed the idea of donating my life brain to science. I don't know if you've ever been kicked out of a psychiatrist's office but I should have a badge on my vest saying " I'm more psycho than the rest." At least that was his assessment. Mid-appt, this man who is very docile, stood up from his chair, open the door, and ushered me to get out and receive intense care.
I was thinking caring would be to help others lol
It took a long time, it actually did help me with ketamine treatment although it would take about a year and a half to reduce suicidal ideations in that deep dark depression which I haven't experienced since. Problem area: at about that year and a half point when I was feeling better, I went through a very horrible bad impactful trip which actually had a lot of powerful meaning behind it that I could not deny was true. Either way, I did not like the experience anymore and I've had lots of bad trips, I've learned to learn from them which works and this one did too, but it was too much.
The next week I went in for treatment, but I told the nurse what had happened and she was still on standby with Ativan in case it went awry. She injected me with the ketamine, and right away I went circling into that loop same exact trip and she administered the Ativan which pulled me out of it for the most part.
We, my psychiatric provider and I, decided to hold off on the treatments for a while. I am starting to get a little depressed again and would prefer subcutaneous ketamine with less dosage (I guess I kind of privately pushed how much they gave me which was quite a lot). HOWEVER, more isn't always best with ketamine treatment. People that use it recreationally like I kind of was doing, go for the higher doses, but you can achieve the brain altering effects (tis p cool) without tripping, and without a heroic dose. They just introduced TMS. He referred me to a clinic my insurance would cover it, and they looked at my file and they were very honest to tell me that this treatment would only aggravate and extrapolate my bipolar. So no-go.
I cannot remember who suggested it, but a deep brain stimulation implant might benefit me and I'm not afraid of them going into my brain. Psycho-surgery is pretty similar to all the medications that I take LOL it's basically a chemical lobotomy 😄🤷🏼‍♀️👌
There is all sorts of explorative brain surgeons in not even invasive kind of procedures that can really modify and change the brain instantly almost. Over the course of even one visit. I forget the name of the doctor it was on 60 minutes so, it's got to be true. I mean it's not the internet 🤣
I wrote down his name. For what it's worth I could contact him to see if I'd be a viable candidate, but I have offered that service if you will before and have not heard anything about this doctor he was formulating a medication that erases certain parts of your memory that you don't want to remember. Reaching out beyond the scope of ethical procedures, but how are we to advance if we have that 'barrier'? I mean, check out Dolly the sheep 😂 jk
Thanks for your post and thanks for reading this I know it's long everything I write is long.
I really sure my thoughts with anybody even my counselor because it's hard for me to talk to people in person and use the words that I intend to without sounding precocious. Presuming that's the right word. The only words that found that are right and those written in the scripture in the it's just something that I need to believe in because it helps me immensely, not for everybody I know this much and not probably something I should have brought up, but it will solve all of my ailments if I could just commit to giving it all over for some reason people how to hang ups to release everything to God. EVEN THO IT MIGHT CURE ONE!!! I guess I'm referring to myself and I suppose you've heard enough about me and I suppose that I am glad I found this video on your comment and I am glad I am able to write out my thoughts and feelings and I am embarrassed to post these things that are so long.
      CHARACTER LIMIT 😅
This might have one and if it does, I'm deleting it here, but copy/paste into my notes.
Have fun on this life. Enjoy eating and drinking or things that you enjoy. If you so do such things as me, in my 💔 ik the answer.
