In my opinion, not many singer/songwriters can take a Joni Mitchell song, change it and make it their own. You've done it brilliantly! What an incredible band! So good to see Matt Flinner! I use to listen to he & his dad dj the Bluegrass Express years ago on KRCL! I'm actually listening to it now. I believe I first heard you on the Sunday program just before Bluegrass. It's a folk music show called Sagebrush Serenade! 😁🎶
I first saw Joni Mitchell sing this song on Oscar Brand's "Let's Sing Out" (Canadian TV show) in 1967. At the time - it had been a hit for Tom Rush, and everyone thought it was his song. But when it was learned that this ethereal golden girl from Canada was the writer - and had also written so many other amazingly poetic songs - she was an international star within two years. And she is still shining among us, thank all the Gods there are. Thank you Darrel - for this unique version of a song that is now almost 60 yrs old. I love it.💖 It would be nice, though - if you could list the names of the folks sharing the stage with you . . .
Darrell Scott’s voice! I could recognize his singing anywhere - so musical and full of emotion 😊
I absolutely love this cover of "Urge for Going". Thank you so much for a wonderful rendition.
Excited to see you again at the Bijou on Saturday.
One of my favorite Joni songs

That's a legitimate way to cover this song. Thank You, Darrell!

Darrell Scott String Band includes Shad Cobb on fiddle, Bryn Davies on Bass and Matt Flinner on mandolin and banjo.
@@DarrellScottOfficial Thank you so much. Was pretty sure that was Ms. Davies - but didn't know the other two.
