I have all the KPL products for the most part but I'm with you the knife shield is my favorite I rub it on the blade also but I didn't know it coats and protects that's cool the Q tips are probably something I use everyday I reuse them sometimes I probably shouldn't do that great video man 👍
Awesome overview video of kpl. I love kpl. Easy to use, many options, and the shield is a game changer. I switch between mineral oil and the shield. But that knife shield is really great for cleaning that gunk off.
Hahaha i 100% agree on the native 5 absolutely the best backlock on the planet! It’s ridiculously smooth while having rock solid lockup, I can even keep my fingers out of the way and disengage the lock with my index finger and it literally drops shut! Amazing knife really showed me how good a backlock can be! I have a DLC cruwear Native which I’m waiting on some RGT fluted titanium scales for, gonna be sick I haven’t tried KPL lubricants, I use gunny glide, anyone know how it compares?
Kpl has many great products and when non knife people ask me what to use I always tell them knife pivot lube. The name helps alot for marketing and helping people to remember what it is. But for me gunny products are definitely superior and that's all I use now.
I have used KPL original and heavy for a while now. I use original on bearings, heavy on detents and washers. It's great stuff I have never tried the lightweight. Does the Knife Shield leave any visible residue? I currently use EDCI, and while i think it works well, it has a tendency to leave this kind of smeary/filmy look on blades, particularly on stonewash, which happens to be my favorite finish. If Knife Shield doesn't leave any residue i might have to give it a shot.
@@LeftyEDC you should do something with it. I guess when it's free it doesn't matter but some of us poor folk would love to have the shitty labeled stuff LOL. . Just charge for shipping that way it doesn't cost you anything to do it. 👍👍
I agree with you on the other products, but the microfiber swabs are overpriced. You can buy the same ones not from KPL for way less.
Yep
I got a 500 pack for just a few bucks.
They’re cosmetic thingies.
I think KPL is just rebranding them and selling them at a huge margin.

Good stuff 👍. I need to get some lube and locktite
I like Knife Shield, but man does it have a unique stink to it.
I actually have come to love it
To much lube is a real thing. 👍 Thank you Kevin 🤘

It has a similar effect but actually works. Edci i found did nothing for my blades

Kev, you throw the oil away when your label gets a little trashed. Why not use all the oil just don't use it on UA-cam. LOL.
Id have stockpiles. Got plenty to waste 😂.

@@paulmills426its usually leaking by then. Anyway, they updated the labels so that hasn’t happened in 2 years.
