Aliexpress 131 bucks get one if you have the cheap factory unit make sure to plug everything in unhook battery first and everything works on the steering wheel still as well no issues over here 😁
I installed this in my base model Mustang gt, works good, but when I turn it up past 16 volume it sounds like it’s getting interference or a speakers blown. I know this isn’t the case cause I just installed brand new skar door speakers 6x8! Have you had this issue and if so did you get it fixed?
@@92chuks I did not get it fixed, I noticed when I connect my phone it connects to 2 different ones and the one I use is local host and it seems to not do it on that, vs the other one but it still does it here and there
Were you ever able to get the steering wheel controls and the HVAC to work. I just installed one yesterday and after playing with the CAN settings I found one that works, I went to the bottom of the list of the CAN adapters.
The HVAC did work after changing it to mustang AFTER a can app update. The steering wheel controls have to be wired in. I just haven't gotten around to it

I found a solution! First you want to go to protocol settings. Make sure it says Network Can Set! Skip over raise. Scroll down to “BSJ”, to the right select ford, then select 2009-2014 mustang . Your ID should be 9005008. This will for sure fix the AC, steering wheel buttons and more!
@@SleepyMechanic you have to get the radio to go onto wifi and I tried with my home wifi but it kept disconecting and connecting so I used my phone as a hotspot and then it connected. Once online you go to extra settings and go to canbus or the place to change cars and then it will show up. It was set on a ford focus and it didnt work so i changed it to a ford explorer and it worked. you can hit mode on the AC and you can see the AC controls on touch screen. Ill try to youtube it becuase i do need to changed it to a mustang but it works good with the explorer setting too.
@@heshaamsheikh6068 there's no subwoofer options to be found on the DSP equalizer on mine. I don't know if that's an android 13 issue or not, but I can't locate any sub settings anywhere.
The audio quality is good AFTER some tuning in the equalizer. Of course it's subjective but if I had to compare it, I'd say similar to an intermediate radio such as a mid level Alpine

you have to change the canbus to get the AC GUI
None of the Mustang options for the canbus work though. Is there something I am missing?

There are CAN settings you can mess with however, I could get them to pop up bit never actually work. Sorry.

How has this held up?
So far, VERY well! Android Auto still has issues connecting but carplay works perfectly. It is weird. But i dont regret it

I want to say there is a model you can buy that does as the harness does include that. However, mine does not have heated seats so Im not sure.

Yes, there is a pin that needed relocated on my harness. I wanna say it was blue. It needs 12v

@@heshaamsheikh6068 I took it from the ignition wire for the radio. It provides 12v when key is on. I think I just jumped it

@@joshsutcliffe6099 Id say better than the base model stock radio. If you have the shaker system, it will take some adjustments to get it up to par.
