I finally decided to get the install done , the guy who did it, saw your video first and he sprayed liquid and the 3m got easy to remove and used another liquid to remove residue from the 3m . Everything was done in less than 15 minutes.

Yo Work Play Drive, just received my SRT Performance Spoiler last week and installed it a couple days ago. The hard part was doing it the heat of my garage. Your video was spot on with the installation process. I love the new look it gives the Cat!!! Thanks for the video. I also, have a dash cam and routed all my wires along the head liner behind the glove box and along the center console to use the 12 supply on the passenger side for the front cam and the rear was in the head liner all the way. Love the Sound of the Cat starting up, a piece of music I'll enjoy for eternity! ;)

Long time no see... Here is a funny story! Appointment to have the rear view camera replaced on my 2019 Shaker. Long story short... "they don't know how... to remove the spoiler". Started talking about prying bars and afterwards sending it to a body shop for damages caused by the prying bar and on and on...". Seriously? OCD here, with 23K the granite paint does not have a single swirl! [well the front half of the car is wrapped]. I happily stumbled on your video which I sent them the link so maybe they can learn something but now real nervous about them doing it some day!!! I cant remember if this is a new car for you or the same from about a year ago. Always wonderful videos.... Thanks.
It’s so scary how the professionals don’t know how to do this. This is why I just DIY even if it’s warranty. I hope they work this out without taking a jackhammer to your trunk 🤦

Thanks for the video, just getting ready to have my shaker hood, roof and trunk wrapped. In trying to figure out how to remove the o-ring (apx 4' of 3m adhesive) from the hood, one shop mentioned a trick they would use to remove and loosen adhesive. STEAM, wow the difference of using a fishline (60lb) to cut through adhesive is night and day using steam. I was able to remove the o-ring with no damage. In my case I used a handheld steamer that can be held upside down (apx $25 on Amazon). Not only that but for cleaning it does a great job, as it won't damage the paint (unlike a heat gun).

Work Play Drive it’s one of if not the best mods I’ve done besides a cam upgrade but that’s different... Even your seatbelt removal video helped me a ton to be able to install the dodge official seat delete! The Barton feels locked and loaded and I use it everyday when I drive and it’s been in ever since you recommended it in your review! Thanks for the awesome details for installs!
Would recommend plugging up and testing the new camera before you remove the old one so you can ensure you won't have issues with your freshly mounted spoiler.

Great video thanks. I’m about to pull the trigger for my car but I have a question. With the slightly different camera angle do the parking lines get screwed up? Meaning are they now pointing down into the ground instead of straight back? Does the new camera in the spoiler overlay the correct parking lines? I am not sure.
Well the day is finally here. I got the spoiler delivered today!! I'm currently kinds stuck thinking of how I'm gonna add all those additional holes and making sure they are in the right place. Any hack from this rookie? My current cheap spoiler has only to2 screws at opposite ends and double sided tape in the middle.
@@WorkPlayDrive so i ca,e up with this idea. I cutout from the same box that it came in, made a template of the spoiler. Pressed hard enough on the spoiler to leave a mark from wll the screws. Then just drilled it. Hope this works. Will do it next week
No noticeable differences in my use case. I don’t have enough data before/after nor do I race enough to have any sort of consistency. This one for me was just for looks.

I'm gonna be that guy. I have a lil ol 2016 sxt. And love this spoiler. My car came with no spoiler. Ive added some stuff slowly.. installed the single scoop srt hood.. I've never had a camera on mine. Will this work on my car (after I get it flashed/scanned at dealership)
If your car has no spoiler you will not have all the necessary holes in your trunk lid. so this install will require some additional work. I know the camera wiring is in place so it’s just a flash at the dealer or you can buy the Zautomotive TaZer to unlock the cam.

Wanting to do this on my 2016 scat pack. I want to get the exact one you used but it says it doesn't fit my model but I'm unsure why it wouldn't. From your experience any hardware differences because most things work on most models.
What Carbon fiber maker/Brand are you going with. A friend of mine just completed his car and after quite a few failures he went with Anderson Composits and the look and fit was amazing.

Can I get a better quality of back up cam if I swap a back up cam on 2015 Chally to this new performance spoiler?? All the back up cam on 2015 Charger and Challenger are pretty bad.
Mike, seems like you are always a step ahead of me on upgrades ;) been eyeballing this one, could you comment on if that back angle does a superior job is displacing water around the backup camera lens, that is a common issue with the other designs. Also, does the camera appear better? My cam does this strobing/flicker thing at night and looks grainy.
Check back in a week, It has not rained yet ;) the camera quality appears the same regarding the night flicker, but the Angle is so much better now that it includes the bumper.
So im finally about ready to install my spoiler that's been sitting around in my mancave (busy with work, life and sadly funerals). And to my surprise no hardware. Just the spoiler bagged 3 times inside a box. I don't have a spoiler to swap out hardware. So here's my question. What's the size of the nut that bolts on the ends. And where can I find it. Thank you so much in advance.
I'm not one for long Intros, but for this one I felt it was necessary. One of the reasons I didn't get this Spoiler originally is because I didn't like the look in the photos. When I saw it in person and walked around the car I instantly wanted it. So I figured for a $400.00 spend I wanted to give people every possible angle to help them decide if they really wanted one.
Not sure I would call a few in your area. You may find one willing to do this. Another option are local mod shops or wrap shops may help as they remove a lot of parts from cars (like spoilers) in preparation for a wrap job.
Just want to say that I love the channel & how precise you explain stuff. Just wondering if the camera is removable from the old wing ? I order a scat pack from the factory & the dealer never order my SRT PERFORMANCE SPOILER. I found one for $250 but it has no camera.
I heard that actually this srt spoiler produces less downforce on high speeds than the original hellcat spoiler because the original spoiler has a higher lip than this one does. This one's only for styling and the better back up camera
I've heard both sides with no data to back it up. I'm hoping to find some details on the subject. Right now most of the stuff I'm reading from "self proclaimed experts" it's looking like it was setup for less drag and higher top speed.
If your SXT has the performance spoiler (The one he took off) Yes it will fit but if u have the small spoiler I belive u have to drill holes to make the redeye spoiler fit
nope no issues, since it's OEM I'm assuming it's the same part number and has the same meh quality of the original spoiler. the angle is much better though since you can see the rear bumper.

Not sure, but it looks like the assembly pops out, as long as it's a factory spoiler that someone removed the camera from you should be fine. If it's aftermarket with no camera hole it may be tricky to get it aligned and looking good.
Hi, do you happen to know if the spoiler installed covers the same part of the trunk as the previous spoiler did? My challenger has some rock chips and damaged paint which are covered by the OEM one (previous owner apparently masked the issue by installing a spoiler) and I wondered if it would sit the same to avoid repainting the trunk.
After seeing your car with and without the new spoiler I must agree I like the new one more. Nice install video. Did the new spoiler change the volume of dirt that collects on the rear fascia and bumper cover?

Sorry not sure I’m assuming you remove the lower panel then the camera just has a nut and washer holding it in place

I installed one over the winter. I love it. It reminds of the Hurst Airspeed spoiler that was part of the Hurst packages.

All the widebody cars should come with that. That's a nice feature of the camera catching the bumper now.

It’s possible but you may need a thicker backing tape to account for the slight curve in the spoiler

Sorry no hacks you need to measure out the holes carefully or swap out the trunk lid with one that has the holes.

Yes I’m familiar with 2015 and up and it’s the same connector on these models.

For the most part yes. It should be the same as long as you have the back up camera.

What Carbon fiber maker/Brand are you going with. A friend of mine just completed his car and after quite a few failures he went with Anderson Composits and the look and fit was amazing.
@@WorkPlayDrive I'm not sure who I'll use yet. I need a splitter, spoiler and defuser. I'm not adding the big flat carbon splitter under the stock one. I want a replacement carbon splitter. I'd like to find replacement rocker covers and rear facia pieces as well.

All the back up cam on 2015 Charger and Challenger are pretty bad.

Mike, seems like you are always a step ahead of me on upgrades ;) been eyeballing this one, could you comment on if that back angle does a superior job is displacing water around the backup camera lens, that is a common issue with the other designs. Also, does the camera appear better? My cam does this strobing/flicker thing at night and looks grainy.
Check back in a week, It has not rained yet ;) the camera quality appears the same regarding the night flicker, but the Angle is so much better now that it includes the bumper.
So im finally about ready to install my spoiler that's been sitting around in my mancave (busy with work, life and sadly funerals). And to my surprise no hardware. Just the spoiler bagged 3 times inside a box. I don't have a spoiler to swap out hardware. So here's my question. What's the size of the nut that bolts on the ends. And where can I find it. I'm not one for long Intros, but for this one I felt it was necessary. One of the reasons I didn't get this Spoiler originally is because I didn't like the look in the photos. When I saw it in person and walked around the car I instantly wanted it. So I figured for a $400.00 spend I wanted to give people every possible angle to help them decide if they really wanted one.

Not sure I would call a few in your area. You may find one willing to do this. Another option are local mod shops or wrap shops may help as they remove a lot of parts from cars (like spoilers) in preparation for a wrap job.

Just want to say that I love the channel & how precise you explain stuff. Just wondering if the camera is removable from the old wing ? I order a scat pack from the factory & the dealer never order my SRT PERFORMANCE SPOILER. I found one for $250 but it has no camera.
I’m sure it is as it’s a separate panel. I didn’t look to see if it clips in or screws in from the inside of the spoiler.

I heard that actually this srt spoiler produces less downforce on high speeds than the original hellcat spoiler because the original spoiler has a higher lip than this one does. This one's only for styling and the better back up camera
I've heard both sides with no data to back it up. I'm hoping to find some details on the subject. Right now most of the stuff I'm reading from "self proclaimed experts" it's looking like it was setup for less drag and higher top speed.

If your SXT has the performance spoiler (The one he took off) Yes it will fit but if u have the small spoiler I belive u have to drill holes to make the redeye spoiler fit

nope no issues, since it's OEM I'm assuming it's the same part number and has the same meh quality of the original spoiler. the angle is much better though since you can see the rear bumper.
Great video as always! How easy would it be to swap out the camera? I have a hellcat spoiler lined up but it doesn't have the camera installed so looking to keep my sock RT camera. Can't seem to find any videos on that😢. Thank you for all your awesome content.
Not sure, but it looks like the assembly pops out, as long as it's a factory spoiler that someone removed the camera from you should be fine. If it's aftermarket with no camera hole it may be tricky to get it aligned and looking good.

Hi, do you happen to know if the spoiler installed covers the same part of the trunk as the previous spoiler did? My challenger has some rock chips and damaged paint which are covered by the OEM one (previous owner apparently masked the issue by installing a spoiler) and I wondered if it would sit the same to avoid repainting the trunk.
After seeing your car with and without the new spoiler I must agree I like the new one more. Nice install video. Did the new spoiler change the volume of dirt that collects on the rear fascia and bumper cover?
