From my Experience ERA isnt a fun unless you RMT a lot. Everything is Just GDKP and items goes for dozens of thousands of gold in CLASSIC. Saying items in GDKP goes for 20K gold and saying its a LOW AMOUNT pretty much proves my point LOL
Hey Zader, I run on Mankrik on a guild that does every single raid as EPGP. While also running GDKPs on alts on whitemane. My point was that those prices are coming down, from every gdkp discord I've checked including mankrik the prices/pots are rapidly coming back down to earth.
just made a character in whitemane a week ago and im having a blast! world is alive and so many new people leveling and doing low level dungeons. yes, prices are high. but aside from that everything is amazing

I would love to play on the Mankrik cluster but unfortunately it's not viable for me due to geography/time zone reasons. Not a fan of pvp servers, but hey ho, Whitemane it is for me.

I would love to raid on Era casually but I just cannot get myself to level a toon from 1 again. I just don’t enjoy leveling anymore especially on older servers.
I am having fun with SoD at the moment but only having access to MC/Ony is getting a little boring lol.
Oh I'm with you, there's some great stretches of the leveling ark imo but when I hit barrens or westfall I kind of hit a wall after doing them so many times. Sitting in Disc with the homies and or netflix has been a saving grace in terms of leveling for me haha.

spitting facts, one of the best versions of the game and u can always come back, and the inflation thing is bigg true (bought my QSR for 7k). wish tbc and wrath got love for their dedicated servers but vanilla is the GOAT

the only issue with era is the only raids that exist are GDKPs where even the most basic items go for 25-30k
the best farm in the game nets you around 250g/hr
so 100hrs-125hrs to farm 1 single item from molten core.
and before you say 'just do gkdps to get gold' the only gkdp's that are gonna let fresh people is ZG, you might get 200g from a zg gkdp.
Most of the people left on era have multiple level 60s that are warriors/shamans/priests and do 8-10 gdkps a week on multiple characters and make 20-30k gold a week.
someone starting out would either need to play hundreds of hours just go gain basic entry into the game, or spend hundreds of dollars RMTing their items which imo defeats the purpose.
i'm glad youre having fun but most people won't enjoy playing on a server where your average raid consumes cost 500-1000g per raid(2500g-3000g for naxx consumes)
Hey Jive, I raid on Mankrik currently with a guild that does entire EPGP. I know a few guilds on Whitemane horde/alliance who are clearing Naxx who run MS>OS ect for their runs. Dwarflord has a great video going into detail on it.
I do agree that GDKP prices got pretty bonkers in era for a hot minute, some of them actively competed with higher pots than Wrath GDKPS which blew my mind.
However, I do think that things are actively returning to normal, and that yes options exist for people who don't want to just GDKP.

Unsure what you mean by really good, you spend so much time farming buffs, grinding consumables, so much overprice in AH,, im 60 i cleared the content and was so painful the whole way to do it
I guess it's different for everyone, different strokes for different folks, but I spend less than 30 minutes a week getting wbuffs, the large chunk of that time comes from waiting for rend/waiting in line for DMT. Consume grind I'll give you is a bit rough for really just warrior, but I've got a few 60s of different profs to help supplement the consumes needed ect.

plus blizz r wokeing up classic. its now body type instead of male and female and they censored /whistle because its offensive and they changed enslave demon because the word enslave is offensive. fuck classic

@jacquesdussart9053 oh no I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just saying retail and classic both have toxic communities. But I've tried over 10 times trying to find a guild to play with no one responds, I've tried so many times trying to raid with people and no one invites.
