Another unexpected blessing I've noticed since I've completely passed through menopause is that these areas of hair have totally slowed down or ceased growing.It feels like being a child again..! I can shave my legs/pits maybe once in 6 months! I love it!
I don't get it either. Its definitely my preference, but its a genuinely unattainable goal for me. Ive got thick, dense, body hair and wildly reactive skin. So while i will shave for a beach vacation, its simply not doable for an extended period of time. I only shave for the occasion, never part of my daily routine, because its time consuming (im talking 90 minutes for a full body shave and to do the rest of my shower routine, no im not exaggerating) and its painful. So, stubble and pants have always been friends of mine. Zero of my partners have ever had a problem with it.

I did an experiment a few weeks ago where I shaved one leg and waxed the other to watch how they grew out…and then I just let them keep growing. The waxed one has waaay less hair by the way. Kinda wild really.
That's because the wax pulls the entire hair out while the shaved just cuts what is above then surface. So the waxed side needs to make a brand new hair and grow it long enough to be outside the skin and the shaved hair is literally just cut off at the surface so only has to grow a tiny bit to show.

@@clafangel honestly I've tried! I got a bar/sponge...thing? It's a sponge on the bottom that has a lathery mix for shaving and a exfoliater on the top. I've used it on my legs with ok results, but not so much luck with the pits. I still got the terrible razor burn I just neosporin on right after shaving it helps a lot. I buy nothing but sensitive shave gel- my skin just stinks is all

I've seen videos of for example pregnant women who couldn't shave their legs anymore and people went crazy that nobody should shave. I was refering to those kind of people. As for the hygiene, the whole purpose of hair, besides keeping you warm (which is not so much the case for most modern humans), is to hold things like sweat and pheromones. For the people reading this and not knowing what pheromones are, pheromones are odors mostly female animals but also plants secrete to attract males. Odors from the vagina will also stay in the hairs around the vulva, which a lot of people dislike themselves. Areas like armpits and groin are a few of the hottest and most disclosed spots of the body, so they produce extra sweat which will also be held by the hairs. Some people sweat more and some people have more hair and it is up to everyone themselves to shave or not. Shaving enables the body to hold that much sweat, odors and sadly things like blood, so it takes a bit longer before you feel things like overly sweaty. I assume you don't wash yourself every 5 minutes, so the longer you can feel fresh the better I think. As I said, it depends on the person, as some people secrete more body liquids than others and some are hairier than others and I don't care of you shave or not, as long as you're happy. And obviously you can also shave if you simply think you look prettier that way. Go for it! Your body, your choice.
