Trains & buses at Yarraville - Melbourne Transport

- In this video we see some trains and buses at Yarraville, a nice historic station on the Werribee & Williamstown lines in Melbourne's inner west. We see various stopping and express Metro Comeng, Siemens and X'trapolis EMU's on the platforms and at the level crossing outside the station.
We also see come buses at the bus stop outside the station. Sita Bus Lines operates routes 431 & 432 through here while CDC Melbourne operates route 409. Sita is one of the last operators in Melbourne to use high floor buses, and Yarraville is a great place to see them in action.
To finish the video we also see some trains from the nearby Somerville Road bridge, an example of a 1960's/1970's era grade separation.
Yarraville station opened on the 20 November 1871 and was originally named South Footscray. It once boasted a sizeable goods yard (for which parts of the signals and track can still be seen). Today it's situated in the middle of Yarraville Village which is a nice little area full of cafes, restaurants, boutique shops and the Sun Theater, a western suburbs icon.

That's the Sydney - Melbourne XPT, it runs twice daily.

@@tuxace4231 Sure you didn't mean 9:01am? The Sydney XPT left Melbourne on time this morning at 8:30am. Someone sighted it at the North Melbourne flyover at 8:34am.
No it was 8:01am. I was waiting for my connecting bus to go to school and saw the usual N class passing.but the bells were still ringing and I saw the XPT. It was sometime last week or something and it was going in the direction of Metro services
