  • In this video we see some buses at Ringwood, a a busy station in Melbourne's east that serves as the junction for the Belgrave and Lilydale lines. Also serving the adjacent Eastland Shopping Centre, Ringwood is also a major bus interchange for the area; served by nine bus routes operated by Kinetic, McKenzies, and Ventura. Ringwood's bus interchange is divided into two sections; with half the bus bays inside the station complex adjacent to platform 3, and the other half facing out onto the Maroondah Highway. We start at the Maroondah Highway bus bays before moving into the interchange.
Kinetic is the main user of Ringwood station, operating routes 271, 364, 370, 380, and the 901 Smartbus. Buses seen include Scania L94UB's, Scania K230UB's, MAN 16.240's, Scania K280UB's, Scania K310UB's and Scania K320UB's. We also see some Mercedes Benz O405NH's, which are the oldest buses in Kinetic's fleet and are currently in the process of being withdrawn from service.
Ventura serves Ringwood station with routes 670, 679, and 742. Ventura buses seen include Volvo B7RLE's and Scania K310UB's. It should be noted that while McKenzies Tourist Service also serves Ringwood with route 684 from Melbourne to Eildon, it doesn't actually stop at the station and instead has its own stop outside Eastland Shopping Centre along Warrandyte Road.
