I like this. It's raw data for the senses and great without words because it's like having a walk on your own. We haven't been to Lisbon since before the pandemic but I love just walking through Lisbon like this.
Nice video, Nick, I think you shall continue doing these walking tours, especially in the areas you are most familiar with. There are a couple of UA-camrs doing these walking tours already, someone mentioned Prowalk Tours, which is very professional, but mostly walks Italy. I would like to put the spotlight on POV Tours, who walks Portugal and always gives a lot of historic information during his walks, which also seems to very well planned. Keep it up, Nick, because we all want see more of these.

I am usually walking around Lisbon at this time of year but because of the pandemic, I have not been in Lisbon for two years. Your walk made me feel as if I were there. Lisbon seems much quieter than I remember it. I remember the sounds of construction in almost every part of Lisbon but very little in this video. Even people seemed quieter. The city feels subdued.
It's good to know! I think these videos appeal to a certain kind of person, although I was quite fascinated by some of them. I checked out London when doing a little research on this style of video.
Great idea for Algarve towns. Strongly support captions to help understand what I’m observing. Delightful areas at 6:00, 11:55, 20:00, 29:00 and 32:00 but haven’t a clue where they are. Thought Google link would should your itinerary but perhaps I missed it? BTW-Not sure if I ever see on someone waiting for a bus w/a surfboard. 😜 Appreciate the occasional pan to the left, right and up. 👍🏻 Silent approach is also wonderful. Love the church bells and the overhead aircraft noise reminds me why we may not love to Lisbon. Thank you for your work. 🙏🏻

I thought this may work down in the Algarve, so let me know if you think it's worthwhile me continuing with these walking tours in the Algarve?
Well done Nick. I was thinking about purchasing a bicycle but I realizing that a lot of places in Portugal might not be very bike friendly. Lot of cobblestone bumpy narrow roads.

Hi Louisa, I normally make videos with tons of information (so check those out, although they're all about the Algarve). This was an experiment which is apparently a thing these days. Over time I'll make a series of "my normal" videos all about Lisbon. Thanks for your thoughts! 👍🏼

Hi Nick, This was perfect. I like this "everyday" view of the area. I'm in Cabanas and could do the same here in about 20 min. I liked the difference in Old /New, was just sad to see so much graffiti.
Great video. No one paper on the streets , great to see ! Graffiti lm shocked, l worked in Lisbon in 1966 we couldn't see one line of Graffiti. Salazar time. Portugal needs this man again a couple years at least !

Yup, it isn't the most popular part of Lisbon, I was just there and it suited me location wise. Where do you think is a better place, the main drag and Avenida República?

And a little trip out to Sintra and maybe Cascais (get off the train a few stops before and take a walk along the promenade to Cascais - at least for your own pleasure!!) I guess it's more about whether you want to show the full monty or just a collage of interesting snippets. Either way, as I know these places well, it'll always be interesting for me. Portugal is your oyster! Pack in the day job and get viajando!!

They were! I don't think many people greet each other on city streets do they? It's only in nature when one does (or I do). I walked 3kms in the video and 6kms in total. I had to get back as well :))

I watch the POV walking tours all the time I think someone else mentioned it. I like that he adds the weather, but wish he would also add the month. It is something people use to gauge what the real weather is like. Love your videos, keep them coming.

I think the whole idea is to do it with zero commentary so you can feel the place. Some of the other guys are putting in captions in place of commentary.

It was! Bear in mind it wasn't the very center of Lisbon and it was a mid Monday morning. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, I was actually thinking that the graffiti was a whole lot less than in Faro where it feels prolific.
Odd to perhaps consider that the the Lisbon youngsters are brave enough to spray graffiti everywhere, but timid enough to wear masks when outside…..🤔
