Heartwarming scene. Puts me a bit in mind of the relationship Sally had with Hilda on Corrie too.

It was unforgivable what they did to Susans character.

Having Michelle sleep with Grant was the point of no return... she lost any semblance of self-respect and the respect of the audience. No wonder Tully left and never came back.

Messylin She did sleep with Den tho. She was never Snow White.

But she had grown up by the 90s. Sleeping with Grant was a regression of her character @@teleaddict23

It was unforgivable bringing her back in 2017 as a different actress.

@@DeepScreenAnalysis Michelle didn't learn after sleeping with Den, she had an affair with another married bloke Danny, cheated on Clyde with one of her college friends. Sleeping with Grant wasn't too surprising. Susan Tully gave Michelle depth for a complex character.

Ethel was right about Lou, Lou was a traditionalist, but she also acknowledged that times do change, being born in 1910 Lou would have seen lots of changes, two world wars, a financial crash in 1929, the Cold War, the swinging sixties and the Thatcherite eighties, Lou would have backed Michelle all the way, knowing that Michelle was never really happy in Walford and was meant for bigger things

This aired on the same day that Bet Lynch left Corrie.

I don’t really watch Eastenders anymore because all the wise people who were in it Ethel,Lou,pat,Pauline and Peggy are all gone and that’s what I liked about it the wisdom while everyone else was fighting amongst themselves.

Michelle tried to listen to those wise around her despite her impetuousness. Good girl Michelle.
