I agree. Yesudas always produces his innovations and improvisations while on stage singing, compared to studio recording.Excellent soulful singing. If you notice, most melodious numbers are related to sadness, separation, missing feeling, loss etc. I love the bhaavam Daasettan produced . Daniel, kindly try to find the original recording of this stage show. Its fantastic.

AR Rahman (Roja), Deva (Annamalai), S P Balasubramanian (Sigaram) and Keevani/Maragadamani (Azhagan) in 1991 under his Kavithalaya banner after his fight with Illayaraja. The only way to bring down a mighty genius like Illayaraja is to produce 4 films all at the same time with 4 other music directors so as to prove to the film industry that he can still win without Illayaraaja. Well we all know what happen with Paarthale Paravasam & Poi - what a flop those films were after leaving Illayaraja

Dear Rajeev, I am sorry, but I had recorded this concert on a VCR (which has become obsolete now) in 1990. I had it transferred to a DVD only this year for posterity. However with the age of the VCR, the sound quality deteriorated. I still do keep the original recording on the VCR, but the sound distortion is already inherent in it. I regret that nothing can be done about this.

Stage programme and studio recording are two different things.Here there is problem with orchestra as well as sound system and in studio it can be redone .But in live it is not possible.Having said that I have also heard him singing on stage better than original songs many times.

@@anoopanoop8329 I have attended many of his live programmes and the ambience of the stage programme and the presence of Yesudas on the stage elevate the crowd to a different experience. We don't expect him to sing exactly as per the recorded song. Improvisations or small changes acceptable on stage .
