olympic village were built with high standard, LEED etc. in 2010 it was quite overpriced however the price was quite constant through last decades.
Agree but I wouldnt stay constant, most of the properties here have doubled in the past 12 years
in 2010 I checked many $1000 /sqft condos, now the price adjusted by inflation is quite constant
comparing to the price in metrotown, brentwood, surrey, constant but also means opportunity
I remember DT one bedrooms ran around 300-350K in 2010 now that same unit will be worth around 600-650 I think it works out to about 6-7% CAGR
Most are using leverage though so the total return is higher.
Yes some other markets have outperformed
@@JayCoupar I did shop around at that time , the starting price of some buildings were from 349k or 399k for 1 bed, many after HST were close to PTT exemption threshold which was 475k. It was relatively expensive. Adjust by inflation , those are definitely not big gainers at that time but have great potential from now on as surrey new condo is 1150 /sqft

View are incredible from that area as well Taz. One of the main reasons I like olympic is I can ride my bike to granville island in 5 mins and 10 mins to kits beach
