- Hey guys, hope you're having a great day...I know I am because I just reacted to Bulls On Parade by Rage Against The Machine.
I've obviously heard of Rage Against The Machine, but I didn't really know their style of music and after this, I guess I still don't lol.
It was like a perfect blend of rap and rock, but if you asked me define that I'm not too sure if I could.
Thanks to Guy for the recommendation, this one definitely lived up to the hype!

Rage used to put a disclaimer in the liner notes of their albums: 'All sounds made by guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.' Tom makes so many crazy noises, the band wanted everyone to know that the 'DJ scratches' and 'sirens' weren't sound effects, but musical effects.

@inickedurnan941 he has a kill switch on his guitar he is switching it on and off (cuts the sounds completely) while he is sliding his palm on the guitar. Thats why its so ubrupt and clean. Shits crazy haha
bad thing about RATM is that if you pay too much attention to their music you can miss lyrics, or vice versa; but multiple listening can solve it... yes, Tom Morello plays those weird sounds with his guitar, and their music can be sorted as a genre, for which I don't know that any band done better... I like them for about 30 years since I heard them, now mostly cuz of the lyrics but I got attracted by their music and the energy at the start... thx for sharing, nice reaction

I agree, it’s easy to get lost in the rawness of the music that you forget to pay attention to the lyrics…think I fell prey to that a little in this one, but editing it gives me a second watch through so I catch way more when doing that.
Woah I thought he probably was doing that, but to make it sound so clean without catching any of the other strings is so impressive.
Yes, I’d imagine the message resonates stronger as you get older where as the aggressive music isn’t needed to sell the message as much as before.
I’m looking forward to hearing more from them, they’re pretty all around with their appeal, included a little bit for everyone.

Most folks agree that you should watch LIVE VIDEOS while having the lyrics displayed on a phone. The live energy is insane, but you must also catch the bars. In short, they are fighting the corrupt American system (a government for millionaires) and highlighting their Imperial ways around the world. DOWN RODEO, FISTFUL OF STEEL, PEOPLE OF THE SUN, ETC...
Yep, that was the guitar. When I was playing music in school I used to always get in trouble for not having my sheet music, because after playing it a few times in rehearsal, and practicing at home I just had it memorized, and the sheet music was kind of a distraction from playing. There are all different kinds of people, with different styles.
Wow, that’s awesome it never fails to amaze me the other worldly sounds artists are able to make from their fairly standard instruments. One of the things I love most about the Beatles music is the insane composition and engineering on the tracks that enhances and morphs the song into a completely different sound…not quite the same as what was done here, but still cool nonetheless.
Hahaha sounds like we would’ve gotten along. I don’t understand why they put such emphasis on the sheet music thing, maybe it’s to learn multitasking: reading and playing, or maybe for longer, more complex performances…idk, but learning the notes worked fine for me and you, so I guess you’re right different styles etc.

It's definitely more what I'd usually listen to, but I'm ashamed to admit how sheltered I am when it comes to music haha. Really enjoyed this one, hopefully the next one I won't have so many issues with copyright lol.

The lead singer is on a RATM track in fact, Know Your Enemy.
And Zach De La Rocha is one of the baddest lyricist around.

Love Rage, love the message, love the energy, powerful band. I think some of the best rock comes from the 70s. Could be a bit bias, lol. No worries, being chronically ill I watch a lot of reactors seems as u build ur channel it wont be as bad, but sadly Copyright stuff will always happen on some. U'll find ur nitch. I agree, mid 60’s - 70’s was a great time for rock, you had so many huge bands pushing the envelope of what was expected and what was possible with the technology.
Yeah it was a shame for this one, think it took me 6 uploads before they finally accepted it. I understand a claim, that’s cool, but to block it outright was really frustrating, especially when I saw other reactors do way longer unpaused segments than I did. @@inickedurnan941 Oh I know I write YT a lot about what they do to u creators, its not right. Some reactor can play a vid and it be fine and some can actually get strikes and have it taken down for same vid. As u build up with them it doesnt go away per se but it does get less aggravating, lol. Many make a Patreon to put the videos they take down on here. U'll get the swing of it all as u go and we'll try to help, specially if we see ur frustrated or confused. Dont freak out when as u grow u see likes disappear or numbers drop, the algos mess with things. AI does u guys no favor. But its easy fix, let us know on a vid so we can help. There is 4 creators I follow that I have to resub everytime I come on. Urs looks like it running good, may get a block here and there or a strike. Stay calm we'll help, lol. Take care, Peace

They definitely give me vibes of Black Sabbath in that regard, I’m sure they’re no doubt influenced by them to some degree.

You have got to get your volume levels in check, your voice comes thru ok, can't hear the music. The single biggest mistake new UA-camrs make, its not enjoyable.
Appreciate the feedback, unfortunately this one took a hit because it kept getting blocked, so I changed the volume etc., to help get it passed the checks. Apologies for that, other videos it shouldn’t be too bad, although I do like to make my voice louder than the song since it can get easily drowned out otherwise.
