I feel like you guys need to do at least one of these kitchen videos per month for the nostalgia of it all! I love it! Thanks for showing the whole process with this piece. It helps so much to see the trial and error. Makes me feel better about my process. 😊
It’s nice to get a video from your home again. Like old times. 😊 Best advice you could’ve given...don’t start on grandma's heirloom, start on something small, like an end table. The table looks great by the way!
I did this technique on my master bathroom walls, I used drywall mud, it turned out awesome! Just FYI, if you rinse the stamp in water before stamping into the drywall mud it will release easier and also the design looks clearer. I did knock down the high points with a putty knife.
Good idea. I have a small white end table that someone tried painting in various layers of colors but each layer crap. Lots of dripped giant drops. I sanded the life out if it but it was hurting the not drippy areas. Painted it in good paint and its better but I may go back and do this kind of thing or even just other shapes, like impressing leaves into patch compound. As always thanks for sharing how you do it all!
Love everything, totally in love, color is my favorite. I'm getting ready to make a special project for my sister by another mother mother and I needed this stencil idea.
Super love this technique Jami made me feel Nervous when she was pouring the mint chip DIY paint and all that profit around the top of the edge of the rim of the paint tin 🤪😱 LOL It’s funny how you pick up on those little things 🤗
It’s really cute and to me, it has a beachy vibe. I’m not used to seeing you paint a piece without distressing to show the darker (wood) underneath but it’s still great! I love the fresh colour you created!!
I love that color you came up with. It is really pretty! And it's fantastic over the White Swan. I'm still not sure about the dirt, but I love everything else!
I think you were going for the same look I have on my coffee table, albeit a different color. A friend and I did it many years ago with hide glue under latex paint. It looks like really original chippy and cracked paint.
I call that the alligator look, it's on a lot of pieces I restore, I'm repairing an old Windsor high back right now and the legs have that, not sure what I'm going to do yet. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it.
Hey ya'll, first thing, I love ya'lls style! My question is that we have a SATAJET 90 automotive paint spray gun. Do you have any idea if I can use thinned latex paint with it? Thanks so much!!
Great video for my question! Your result great👍🏻 I am still having a problem with the same tables I have mentioned a couple times before...so my question....I painted two end tables in DIY Gravel Road.....they literally cured for over a week and I tried SP black oil wax and it started to remove paint by just being on there..,not while applying...( one leg) removed oil wax ..,repainted leg...tried water based poly after a month of curing and started to remove paint🙃....I walked away 3 months later....(yesterday) I applied clear wax to legs and that did okay....so I sanded and repainted the tops yesterday bc of brush strokes....I want to age the tops and don’t want to have to paint again....do you think I could white wax then use SP black oil wax? Oh 2nd question does SP aging dust basically do what DIY dust does? Thank you for sharing!😊
I don’t see why you couldn’t. That being said I have never done it so I can’t guarantee what it will do. In the case of this table we used oil wax over white wax and it did work and pulled off some of the white wax because it was fresh. I have no idea what the look will be on your project because it’s not a finish I have tried. And yes sweet Pickins aging dust should work the same. I haven’t tried them side by side to see what differences their might be

Hopefully in the next couple months we can do farmhouse kitchen videos. 😊❤️
Jami Ray Vintage Can’t wait! So excited for you guys!
DIY in the kitchen 😀... just like the all JRV's used to be. 🗝️

So pretty. Very beachy looking
You look beautiful with you hair down ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Love the table
Thanks!
I’m loving this technique!
I’m so glad to see you use the dust. I bought some and wasn’t sure how to do it.

You two work so well together!
Once again looks great so much better than the white ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Nice to see you on a Monday

Love it 😍
You scared me! At times I thought, oh no! But in the end I just fell in love!
❤️❤️ it’s almost always better at the end.
I love that color you came up with. It is really pretty! And it's fantastic over the White Swan. I'm still not sure about the dirt, but I love everything else!
I’m not sure about it either but the application was easy enough lol.
I love it thank you for sharing your talents
❤️❤️
Have you ever used the glue for crackling? I do. I love how this turned out!!

I want to do this on my big china cabinet!
We do this on our old walls.
I bet your walls are awesome!
I have never seen your snack jars empty before.
Lol. No one ate the holiday treats that were in them so I cleaned them out.
🤔 this definitely has my gears turning. I’ll be trying this on a piece in the near future.
It’s a lot of fun!

Sorry, I’m not sure as I’ve never used either product together.
@@JamiRayVintage Ok thank you
Love this! Wondering if you guys have a paint mix recipe with DIY paints to make a celery green?
I haven’t tried it yet but if we do we’ll show it
Beautiful!😍.. but I'm always lost on what kind of paint you used, chalk paint or milk paint?
We used DIY paint which is a clay/chalk based paint. It’s thick and helps build texture. You can pick it up at www.jamirayvintage.com

#CoupleGoals
How do you clean your brushes between projects?
Charcoal soap and hot water.

❤️
Can you light wet sand???
Love it, is this the little table that Zeb was going to cut up?
It is but we didn’t need it for the toppers so we painted it instead.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Top of that table is going to be hard to clean if there is a spill.
Why didn’t you use crackle instead of the way you did?
I wanted it to have a bit of texture and be raised a bit where the lightweight is.
Are you still moving to your new house?
Eventually. Half of it isn’t built yet.
The paint dripping down the side of the can, 😱, for some reason it really bothers me 😂
The can at the end? Lol. That’s why I chose that can. Bought it in France and flew it home on the plane lol.
I really wish you would follow my instruction better....🤣😂🤣
Lol
sorry
