Fantastic video. The reason I really like Icelandair is because they offer a truly spectacular interior. Not many airlines have IFE screens on Economy Class and a really Business Class on their narrow bodies. They should be awarded as one of the best airlines in Europe, but sadly, they don't have many recognitions in Europe
Another fab video Blake. The cabin does look very fresh indeed. Looking forward to the 757 video, its one of my favourite aircrafts. Really pleased to see the channel growing as well
Honestly a fantastic & enjoyable review as always, the detail was just outstanding, Thanks so much for the feature, you've done a great job putting it together. Keep up the great work !
Absolutely first rate trip report. Valuable information imparted, and an objective viewpoint on all the elements of a trip. You deserve to go far in this very competitive arena.
Love Icelandair, Flown from the UK to USA on two occasions, taking advantage of the stopover both times. In total 8 flights 7 economy and one Saga. Flown all jet types, 757 (my favourite), 767 and 737 Max (prior to grounding). Great package for the price.
Top notch once again, you are already one of my Top 5 favorite Trip Reporters 👍 I have to say though, for flights from Iceland to Europe that is an amazing product. Definitely an airline I’m looking to try soon.
Considering I have been a long time fan of your channel that is lovely to hear. I would certainly recommend giving Icelandair a try and I intend to fly with them again.
Wow! Blake! I can just say wow watching this video. Starting with the perfect music selection, continuing with the great image quality, the external view... It's incredible how you have been improving your videos since you've started in YT. The cabin looks amazing. Very comfortable. I noticed that you've changed your usual cap for a hat haha Was it cold? :P
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I have to admit that when I finished editing this one I was very pleased with the result. Also very grateful to one of my followers for filming takeoff. ... and yes it was very cold, hence the hat!
Brilliant Video mate. A very detailed review. I really like how they have an IFE system onboard. The screens look big. I think you are the first one to put out a TripReport onboard one of their 737 MAXs. I was looking at flying with them a few months back but the price jumped right up.
Sadly I am not the first to share the Icelandair 737 there have been a few others. Definitely give Icelandair a try, they currently have some good offers on return flights from London and Manchester to Keflavik for around £100 return. I am planning to book another flight with them myself and try some domestic trips in Iceland.
Ah right, probably not noticed those ones since I carried out research on it. The 737 Max is on the Glasgow route for the first couple of months of 2019. The flights were £170 return, they were only £110 at first though.
Wow 32 inches... wasn't expecting that, also, so are ALL non more legroom seats free to select, or they they pull off that "some seats are for free, some aren't..."?
Great video! Flew both the 757 & 767 with Icelandair in 2017. Great airline product. Nice mix of LCC & Legacy service. Interested in trying the MAX soon, but want a few more 757 & 767 flights!
Aeroflot are most definitely an airline that I am eager to try but they aren’t very cheap. Been looking at flights for a while and the fares aren’t great. Still looking though!
@@BlakeEdgington That's good! I've yet to fly one but might have a look to see if i can fly one this year to see what they are like because i do like the 737 in general.
Fab review Blake, did you capture the external views on the previous day? The max looks pretty nice, especially the extra leg room seats. The IFE also looks great for a 737, but they will use this AC on longer routes to the US I guess. Would have loved to have seem more of the smoked Lamb Flat Bread, not very Icelandic, but looked incredible with the cheese. Your beginning to really craft your work mate.
I flew in to Dublin to catch this flight and a subscriber kindly filmed the departure! That was genuinely the plane that I was on at the time. While in Iceland I checked and my aircraft was heading off to Chicago later that day so they are being utilised on longer routes already. Thanks for your support it’s much appreciated 👍
We flew with Iceland-air in 2003... the plane went Tec from Iceland to Heathrow...they couldn’t have looked after us any better... we would fly with them agai
Great Video! I hope to fly the 737 MAX when Ryanair introduce it soon as it will be a cheap way to fly it... I also spotted that they do the same as Ryanair and put their lifevests in the overhead space. I would love to fly Icelandair though and they do fly my favourite aircraft type (757-200) and they have a particular route that I have an interest in, that being Keflavik to Anchorage because I imagine a Polar flight on a 757 would be incredible...
nice video and video work - I wished they had gone more Airbus - but the 737 max 8/9 are nice as well - just not as nice looking - Although my favorite looking plane is the Boing 757 - but sadly discontinued - wished Boing had stopped the 737 over the 757 - But I like many will agree on the aircrew is typically very nice - more personable then in many other airlines - so that is a big plus - their coach / economy class usually always a good deal
The crew were very impressive and the cabin was very comfortable. I also tried their 757 the following day which was very pleasant and yes very beautiful.
Oh dear, you have an epic bravery to fly this contraption... my feet will never step inside 737 max and I am also quite concerned about the safety of any Boeing plane. For me the 777 is the only safe plane made by Boeing so far. Well, jumbo jet is also quite good machine. And don't get me wrong lads, i know that when it comes to percent statistics 737 is still a safe jet, but such a horrible crashes that killed over 300 people should not feature tbe brand new airplane. It's just unacceptible.
Sorry but I can't agree with this comment. As terrible as the 737MAX accidents were, to say that you are concerned about the safety of any Boeing aircraft baffles me. Do you have any basis for this statement?
This flight has been at the top of my list for a while. Iceland is a spectacular place and the national airline really was impressive. Enjoy!
Fantastic video. The reason I really like Icelandair is because they offer a truly spectacular interior. Not many airlines have IFE screens on Economy Class and a really Business Class on their narrow bodies. Very well said and I totally agree with you. A fantastic airline in my opinion.
That's true, and thanks for your reply
Going to fly for the first time in my life and it will be Iceland Air! I I booked a seat but how do you know where it is?
The airline website should show a seat map or if not give seat guru a try.
Beautiful aircraft!
It sure is!
Great flightreport, thanks for sharing mate
You’re very welcome.

The 757 trip was very interesting. It will be out in a few weeks. Stay tuned 😉

Another great video Blake, can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks Silvia

I agree. A great option to the USA.
Amazing review mate! Great everything went well with the MAX 8. Always love your Terminal Reviews :)
Thanks! The terminal reviews were actually a friends idea.
Top notch once again, you are already one of my Top 5 favorite Trip Reporters 👍 I have to say though, for flights from Iceland to Europe that is an amazing product. Definitely an airline I’m looking to try soon.

and love the new logo!
Thanks Laurie. Really pleased with the channel progress and glad that you liked the video.

Keep an eye on it then, free drinks, good legroom and IFE is well worth it for me.
Fantastic video! Always stuns me how quiet that aircraft is!
Certainly quieter than I expected, thanks for watching.
Me and my friends hope you had a wonderful time in Dublin.
Wish you luck from Dublin, Ireland.
Was only there to connect to a flight but thanks.
Thanks Blake....they look like and excellent operation!! Love the 737 Max!!
It was very impressive, I am glad that you enjoyed the video.
Great report Blake. The Icelandair product looks good.
Thanks for watching Tim, I was impressed.
I am flying this route in 7 days, Thanks for posting this. Do you bring your own earphones for the ICE ?
I had my own, unfortunately I can’t remember if any were available on the aircraft.
Great video Blake! I'm jalous that you got the fly the 737 MAX!
Haha I have been keen to try it for a while. Also experienced the A320NEO on this trip.
@@BlakeEdgington I saw that yeah! By the way, I wish more aircraft had IFE! Did iceland have that on their 757 too?
Having IFE adds so much to the passenger experience. Yes the 757 also features IFE which is very similar to the 737MAX
Blake, Great video, thank you for posting.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate your support.
Fantastic review mate, would really love to try the MAX! Thumbs up! :)
I am not a big 737 fan but that aircraft was very nice indeed. Thanks for watching.
Wow 32 inches... wasn't expecting that, also, so are ALL non more legroom seats free to select, or they they pull off that "some seats are for free, some aren't..."?
Surprisingly in this day and age seat selection is free to all passengers. It’s the little things that set a good airline apart.
Im from Iceland. Nice video mate :) I like aviation so I subbed and I will look at your videos.
Thanks for subscribing, I had two great flights with Icelandair in December and will likely try the 767 at some point too.
Great video! Flew both the 757 & 767 with Icelandair in 2017. Great airline product. Nice mix of LCC & Legacy service. Interested in trying the MAX soon, but want a few more 757 & 767 flights!
I have yet to try the 767 but hope to do so in 2019. I did try the 757 and the review will be online soon. Thanks for watching.
Feel free to check my 767 flight out for inspiration! Looking forward to the 757 video!
Excellent video!!!!! Will you be doing a review of Aer Lingus Transatlantic flights anytime soon?
Thanks, good to hear that you enjoyed it. I am looking into transatlantic flights this year but am undecided on the airline at the moment.
Great mate really enjoyed that Blake want to try Icelandair myself soon. When are you doing AEROFLOT. Just had 3 flights with them amazing!
Aeroflot are most definitely an airline that I am eager to try but they aren’t very cheap. Been looking at flights for a while and the fares aren’t great. Still looking though!
Awesome! I would love to try out Icelandair, but I prefer the B757 although the 737MAX is more comfortable. Fantastic flight report mate!
I will be releasing the 757 review in a few weeks. Love that aircraft.
Superb blake. Makes me want to fly the product myself. Onwards and upwards!
You should definitely give it a try. I have a plan for another trip to Iceland and wouldn’t hesitate to fly Icelandair again.
Great video! Looks like it was a nice flight and that engine seemed quite quiet!
One of the best that I have taken this year and the 737 MAX impressed me, not usually a fan of the 737.

nice trip report! IFE looks cool, the screen is big.
It was a great flight and a wonderful first trip to Iceland.
Did u connection to New York and if yes was it worth it

Always the sign of a good airline is when things don’t go to plan.
Big fan Blake love your vlogs all the best.
You should fly Aer Lingus from Dublin to Feurteventura
Good suggestion, perhaps one day.

nice
Thanks Alex.
When I go to other countries I love eating at the place near Burger King, they do delicous scrambled eggs with bacon and toast. :)
Never tried it but good tip!

That is a very good shout for a flight, I am sure the views would be amazing.
Think you took that second sentence back
One of the best European airline. Seems cold isn’t it?
It was not particularly cold in Iceland but was very wet and windy.
I'm flying this route in 2 weeks lmao, any tips?
No tips really just enjoy it! I had two great flights with Icelandair.

Your rich mate! You go on SOOOO many planes! Remember me? #Finlandispartofskandanavia
Definitely not rich! I wish that I was but I work hard for these flights. Yes Finland is part of Scandinavia.
Ok your not rich, but I just wanted to know because SO many plane cams are on you channel!
Adventure Prime it’s basically just finding the right time to fly really.
Blake, Where are you from? You seem to have a sort of Black Country accent?
Close but not quite. I am from Birmingham.
im from icland
Thanks for letting me know and I hope that everyone there is safe right now.
is wifi on the 737 yet?
It was not available on my trip. According to Icelandair it will be launched this year. Not sure exactly when.
The Beoing 737 MAX is very quiet and very clean and VERY dangerous (hopefully not anymore). #MCASmakesplanescrash
The accidents were a tragedy but I would be confident to fly on the 737MAX.
Lucky that it didnt crash
Nice landing captain :L

meal is a disgrace no champagne i would never ever fly that carrier
I found it to be a very good flight.
Horrible seats on these aircrafts
I didn’t mind the seat to be honest.
