LOL my loss of distance is mainly due to old age creeping up on me but I'll do my best to implement your ideas. Alex's comment about not wearing his Spanx nearly had me spilling my tea… Cheers
Yeah, few things improve with age, and golf isn't one of them, lol. I was able to maintain my distance by just buying the latest driver, until the limits on clubs were implemented, that is. Darn the USGA and R&A, lol.
Hi Andy I’am 54 years young had about 20-30 lessons over the years mainly cupped wrist problems early extension , but having 5 1 hour lessons at a time solving my cupped wrist , I find on the course I can play to a good standard for 9 holes then start shanking the ball with everything then end up in time reverting bk I assume to the dreaded cup any thoughts
Hi Andy, I suffer similar problems with my wrists in backswing and when I’ve tried this method of a more closed club face I have a tendency to hook the ball. Yes lower ball fight and more penetrating, but draw come slight hook. Would appreciate any advice. Great stuff as always mate hope
If you’ve historically opened the face then youve had to manipulate it at impact to square it. So now if youre square you need to outgrain the manipulation to stop the face closing
I've recently tried flattening my driver swing and it seems to have reduced my wrist-cupping at the top. I don't know if that cause and effect is normal, but it has resulted in added distance.
Its not promoting it, it;s offering you alternative ways to look at positions by providing numbers etc. Many golfers learn differently so now some of us have alternative ways to get our message across it can reach a wider audience.
Haha just back from working on this. I’m and out and then cup. Right wrist back at 45 degree in takeaway working not bad for me. Have a lot of speed 96 with 7i, so have enough time to put the club back in bag and watch it float back down from space with a bad one 🥲
The tip about having the clubface look at the ball for as long as possible really worked for me. Thanks so much Andy!
I add 640 yards by hitting my drive left, then way right on the next shot, then missing the green by 50 yards. Repeat 18 times.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂 so true
I’ve been working on the takeaway to the top trying to keep the wrist flat at the top still needs more work but getting there, great tip Andy 👍.
Keep it up buddy

I see some pros checking exactly that before hitting a shot. Great tip Andy. Like and subscribe guys n gals
Is this something you can do with driver as well?
100% yes. Its all about clubface angles.
Need to get back into lessions... Pretty sure, now I am doing the complete opposite.
Yes buddy. Hope you’re all recovered
Can’t watch any more hack motion ads, every YT content provider are promoting it. It’s too expensive, and over promoted. Sorry, but will not watch
