The reason why Roger said the end was near because he was sick I think WAAAY back in Louge Town when Luffy went to the bar where Roger used to go the bartender said how Roger said he was sick and wouldn’t last much longer, Rayleigh also said the same thing if I’m pretty sure.

I just realized that one face that the old woman did was the face of golden lion shiki. It's very interesting to me because we know that the clone-clone fruit only works if the user touched the face of the other person before. So she must have touched shiki's face before

I don't know if you noticed but the old lady actually turned into Shiki for one second. The Clone-Clone fruit is Bon Clays devil fruit. It allows you to shapeshift into anyone you touch so this means that lady has at one point touched Orochi, Oden and Shiki. The old lady has met Orochi but Orochi did not know who she was and how she looked like until right now.
The reason why Roger said his end was near was because he suffered from an incurable disease. Rayleigh explained this to the straw hats when they first met. Roger was sick and dying which is why he turned himself in to his execution.

None of those big 3 (big mom, kaido, and whitebeard) were close to their prime back then, this version of whitebeard is probably much stronger than he was in the rocks pirates, it's been almost 10 years since the god valley incident so they are much stronger during this clash.

The only way I could see that happening is if Rox is still alive or someone else that was there provides more insight

let's appreciate this moment my OP brethren neither manga reader and anime only. It's so fulfilling to finally see Roger in action after 900+ episodes. man it hits different, it's all worth it. I know this was long revealed in the manga but it still gave much hype seeing it animated. Damn, and this isn't the ending of the story yet. We don't even know what the one piece is and some other things. Man when OP ends tears will be shed.

We saw Shanks and old Whitebeard clashing, Oden and Prime Whitebeard clashing, Kaido and Big Mom clashing, and they merely split the sky. Meanwhile the Pirate King and Prime Whitebeard, blew the sky away, and their blades couldnt even touch. The Yonkos are specks of dust compared to these 2 legendary Chads
Their blades didn't collide probably because of Ryuoo. Also, you didn't notice that the Clone-clone fruit is one that now BonClay has.
So grateful to be alive to have gotten to witness The Legendary Roger on screen !

Imagine how strong the punch of 'Garp the Fist' is considering that encounter from Roger and Whitebeard. That punch of his may even be on the same level as a full charged king punch which, by the way, was stated to be able to incapacitate an emperor.
The Clone-Clone Fruit is the same fruit Mister Too Bonboi has... Remember in Alabasta, they tried to do the same thing with king cobra but that failed in the end because Luffy was there but still... just thinking about what someone can do with any kind of fruits and depending on who has it, its crazy... anything is possible.

Hibou the reason their blades didn't collide because of emissions (type of advanced Armament haki explained by hyo).
That old baba's mane-mane no mi is the same devil fruit that Bon Clay has.
That collision was Haoshoku no Haki applied to the attack, Hibou. You have seen it before with Luffy vs Doflamingo and Luffy vs Katakuri, but far weaker than Roger vs Whitebeard.

What happened to sukiyaki was also left unanswered in the manga. Safest bet was he was murdered.

2- That old lady is a Kurozumi. Not sure why the anime didn't show her name. She might've Orochi's grandmom.
3 - One of the faces she showed was Shiki The Golden Lion who escaped Impel Down and his location is unknown.
4 - Roger knew his end was near because he was sick and that's why they have Crockus(the doctor) with him. Rayleigh told the crew in Sabaody that Roger turned himself to the Navy and he had a terminal illness.

no we saw this before with luffy and kaido in the air they both didnt touch ( when luffy was angry ) they clashed with conqueror before even clashing fists so yeah we saw that before , but of course it is not comparable to that scene in terms of power !
I’m pretty sure that was actually just a stylistic choice, it wasn’t in the manga but the clash between Roger and WB was purposely noted they weren’t touching in the anime and manga
