@@imanafandy6607 It's mainly because one piece is a weekly anime shows like demon slayer, haikyuu had like 300 chapters at the highest I think so it was best to make it a seasonal anime while if one piece was seasonal it would take like 10 years to even finish a whole arc

I think this is what's up: teach and luffy are the top candidates of pirate King and got the Ds. Shirahoshi is Poseidon and I suspect vivi to be in connection with pluton (because it's said to be in alabasta). Imu doesn't k now about Momonosuke - who propably is Uranos, because Wano is isolated and the Kozuki clan is thought to be wiped out. They can't know that Momo is Uranos because of time travel too. This is why Imu didn't have a picture of Momo there. I think Cobra got assassinated and Vivi, Sabo are missing (the reason why alabasta was crying and the revolutionary army was so upset) . The world thinks they are dead which they are not, because Kuma propably saved them last second with his DF.
I got a theory that vivi ia somehow connected to the ancient weapon and The reason why imu didn't go to shirahoshi instead bcoz she's underwater if the navy invade or trying to kidnapped or capture her then there will be a huge casualties while vivi is defenseless

I believed that Cobra got assassinated and Sabo and the others captured. The WG wanted to frame Sabo for the Cobra's murder and public it on the news so the people will lose faith on the Revolutionary but Morgans probably the real story. Drake isn’t just still in contact with the marines, he’s the captain in a secret, undercover organization within the marines. Coby is as well, though for some reason they didn’t give him a title card here like they did in the manga.
Koby is only a member of it, not a captain of SWORD but yeah you right.

Same as a regular ep. No matter how crazy the animation or lazy it is, they spend similar budget. It all depends on the staff and time they have to produce it.

This episode was directed and mostly storyboarded by very talented director Megumi Ishitani and Co. with Eisaku Inoue & Hirotaka Ito as supervisors so production management had to be properly arranged for this special without any major outsourcing. The quality in this episode was due to mainly its featured staff list and the healthy schedule which made it possible, that’s about it.
Budget (money) and production assets such as technological resources have a minimal role with the production quality of an episode and has almost nothing to do with it unless if it’s a film. Budget affecting production is a huge misconception in the anime community.
For starters, every episode is not cheap and nor it’s cheaply made. However, sometimes pouring too much staff resources and money does more harm than good if the studio has a poor production format in workload and time management in scheduling/staff. Toei’s early production stage of the TV series Dragon Ball Super was a good example of how production can fail in so many ways. Pre-production failed, studio workload was immense. scheduling was hell and outsourcing episodes with very expensive large staff lists in early episodes showed production and visual inconsistency in the long run.
From this episode until the end of Wano Arc, this anime will be very intense and absolutely epic!

You should re-read the X-Drake's title card for some more context to his affiliation. "Sword" is a thing now apparently. How you perceive that is up to you of course.
And something that is in the manga but anime didn't show is Coby's title card. He has the "Sword" in his title card too.
Cobys rear admiral status was retcond so he is still a marine captain and that was introduced already with a title card in the reverie arc
Toei step up their game, the animation in this episode was Movie Tier. Looking forward for the next🔥❤

@@majidaljaburi7870 I hope that Toei will not bring back Dragon Ball Super anytime soon because if they will, a lot of their budget will go for it and the animation of One Piece will suffer from that. I believe that was one of the reasons why Dressrosa's arc's animation was generally so bad (except for some few episodes) because they gave away a lot of their budget to Dragon Ball Super at the time, considering how popular and historic the Dragon Ball franchise is and it's iconic/legendary/generational status

it's stroyboarded by a very talented duo and aninated in house wih featured staff rather than outsourcing the episode
and usually One piece looks at its best when the animators take a break during the holidays
I just just hope they keep the same attitude with the rest of the episodes, I won't care about pacing anymore if the storyboard and animation is that sick
At (9:36) there were three news that morgan published incase it wasnt clear ill elaborate it.
The first one was, the resolution which is the "WARLORDS ABOLITION" the second was a person died SOME PEOPLE SAY IT WAS VIVI since garp stated that something happend with the alabasta kingdom, and you can see the alabasta people were crying about the news OR it could be sabo but the third one is "THE MURDER ATTEMPT AT MARIJOA" which was clearly sabo's doing. i just wanted to let you know.
That's just two things. The first one is the incident that was supposed to be covered up, that we know basically nothing about?
1. Hushed-up-incident (Murder? Failed assassination? Alabasta? Something else entirely?)
2. Decision at the reverie (warlord abolishment)
3. Indicent at the reverie (Revolutionaries? Murder? Failed assassination? Alabasta?)
the storytelling. the animation. the re-introduction. this episode gives me chill from the very start. I can't wait for the next episode.
Remember that Vivi’s picture was shown after the 5 people at top of the World Government asked the person who sat in the King of the World’s chair who they wanted erased from history. Just like the missing 100 years that Robin wants to discover.
This is what I was thinking
I remember when this part first came out in the manga, a lot of people were speculating that Cobra got killed and Sabo got blamed for it. However watching this scene in the anime, I’m starting to fear maybe it was Vivi instead of Cobra 😨. Of course if you subscribe to the theory about Imu-sama and Vivi being connected someway (it involves reincarnation or something of the like it’s a theory from a while back it’s good I’d recommend) then Imu-sama could’ve just faked Vivi’s death to kidnap her, and then just let Sabo take the fall. Either way it’s really bad 😰
14:01 vice admiral Tsuru promised him she will give him newspapers of the world everyday while hes locked up in prison, thats the least she can do to fulfill his desire to stay up with this tumultuous world.
This scene happened at the end of Dressrosa arc.

The legendary chapters 956 & 957 rocked the One Piece community in late 2019. I was on holiday in Sorrento, Italy for a friend's wedding when the chapter dropped. I had to jump in the pool just to cool off for 20 minutes

the animation was insane. those little bits those added too were fantastic and fitted perfectly. this is one of those chapters where manga readers literally know nothing more than the anime only viewers. next episode is also insane.
That scene with Morgans is great (like the rest of the episode) but it feels like a trailer for an entirely different anime. This whacky, morally ambivalent bird-man finding scoops and getting into hijinks, it's mad.
Now I actually like the breaks after seeing how much better the animation was for black clover and one piece.
The director for the animation also did the last episode of DBS. Next episode will be different
Amazing episode sheer quality 💪. But I've seen some dumb comments by people... saying One piece should go seasonal so this animation is always guaranteed. Or people saying they should reboot one piece with this animation, clueless people lol.
I mean that makes sense there probably not gonna be able to maintain this for the rest of the series. Especially with other shows like dragon ball coming back and it would put more space between the anime and manga so we can have faster pacing.

As a manga only reader this was the first episode I’ve watched since dressrosa so it was so fire
The overall animation of the Wano Arc has been from top to god tier and the Zou/Whole Cake Island/Reverie arcs previous to that were also quite great. Definitely better than that of the Dressrosa arc (although after i've recently rewatched it some of it's episodes were much better than I remembered them to be). Apparently the reason why Dressrosa Arc's animation was so bad was because at the time Toei Animation gave away a lot of their budget to Dragon Ball Super.
