I prayed this for almost a year everyday.i guess I got spiritually prideful. Then one day in September my life was turned upside down. Huge depression and anxiety. Holy Mother of God please help and save me
Hoping to open my home this year for retreat space (along with the healing work I do). Out in the quiet woods.... 🙏 for peace for all right now, as I appreciate prayers for finishing up fixes to the property.... 😊
I don't know you, but I feel your pain. Here's a thought. Whenever we're doing something right, the devil always tries to interfere, and depression and despondency are the two most disabling tools he uses to bring us down. I don't think it was a matter of spiritual pride, but I don't know you. The devil always accuses us of our sins, though, but God, in His wonderful mercy, reminds us of His pure love for us. We may find it hard to feel we even deserve it, but think about how He honored our Holy Mother and her obedience! Think about the Holy Apostles who were there up to three days before she fell asleep, and remember that even though St. Thomas arrived after she'd been buried, she and Christ made sure he knew that he wasn't forgotten. He was the only apostle who wasn't carried on a cloud to her presence at St. John's house. He was so humbled when he went into her tomb and heard angelic music and saw and heard that Christ had translated her to Heaven. Of course, all the others knew, but She and Christ appeared to St. Thomas from above to remind St. Thomas that he was remembered for his belief and obedience. Glory to God!
@@heatherstub thanks dear sister in Christ. I’m still going through it and it’s been the toughest three years of my life. I pray the mother of god will answer your prayers
It (and the rest of the worship, I imagine) made a similar impression on the Tsar's emissaries, ¿no? Hence the conversion of the whole Slavic world to Christ's Way.... 😁
Indeed. It's more than a religion; it's a way of Life. God bless you, and whether you're on the new calendar or the old, I hope you'll be renewed throughout the Holy Dormition fast and the Feast of the Holy Dormition. It is such an oasis for the soul and body.
You and your wife are courageous -- may you and your family be protected, healed and lifted up. Praying your little one is doing well; he is in God's hand, as well as yours....
A dear friend of mine has a son with autism. He is a young adult now; I remember his mom telling me when he was young about an experience he had in Sunday school. Asked to complete the sentence "I know that...", he replied "Jesus is real!" May you all know the same, even in the difficult moments.... 🙏😌
Thank you very much. It is so good to be able to clearly hear and understand the words. In the pandemic it has been a challenge to find ways to attend the services in person
I'm asking the same thing, and I hope to receive a reply. If nothing else, you and I may have more success finding this out via ancient faith radio on the English Music Channel. I'l also listen to the Global Music Channel, so I hope we'll find the answer. The easiest way to get to the radio channels is to type ancient faith dot com followed by the forward slash then the word radio. They also have a talk station, and I've been listening to it nearly everyday throughout the fast. I love them all and all the podcasts and specials.
God bless & keep you and yours, for taking the time to share this. Would you know how I can get the printed version of this wonderful and beneficial service?
Thank you. This was beautiful and very helpful. If I may ask, which book is this from. The translation I have is quite different and I'd like to follow along a bit better.
O Lord Jesus Christ, who said, “Greater love than this no man has that a man lay down his life for his friends,” through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe whose life illustrated such love, we beseech you to grant us our petitions. (Mention your requests) Through the Militia of the Immaculata movement, which Maximilian founded, he spread a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world. He gave up his life for a total stranger and loved his persecutors, giving us an example of unselfish love for all men - a love that was inspired by true devotion to Mary. Grant, O Lord Jesus, that we too may give ourselves entirely without reserve to the love and service of our Heavenly Queen in order to better love and serve our fellowman in imitation of your humble servant, Maximilian. Amen. (Say 3 Hail Marys and a Glory Be)
It's the Small Paraklesis but using the Russian music. It began to be used in the Greek Orthodox or Byzantine Church, and I believe it came during the 7th century or so.
The typewriter-esque way of chanting of the OCA and Russian Orthodox Church translated into English makes me want to puke each and every time I hear this rendition!
Then don't listen to it. It is for those who benefit spiritually from listening to it & praying with it. And there are people who benefit greatly. Go your way. May the Lord guide you always.

How are you now?
🙏 Praying you are being lifted up again...?! 😌

I literally listen to this multiple times in my car. Thank you for posting this!!! So beautiful and medicine to my soul.
This made my night. I know I am a part of the true religion, and have no doubt, when I hear the music of our Church. Kyrie Eleison.
It (and the rest of the worship, I imagine) made a similar impression on the Tsar's emissaries, ¿no? Hence the conversion of the whole Slavic world to Christ's Way.... 😁

its nice to hear the words so clearly.
Glory be to God! Thank you for sharing this beautiful service to the Theotokos. The choir was nothing short of angelic.
Please pray for PEK FAMILY. I am recently married and have a magnificent blessed 6 year old autistic stepson. Thank you

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
Thank you for sharing this.
Grace be with you!
Most Holy Theotokos have mercy on us.
beautiful.
This is fantastic! Wishing you a blessed feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Please tell us the name of this ensemble.

I recognize the voice of the young man from the Trisagion videos...
Most Holy Theotokos save us!
God bless & keep you and yours, for taking the time to share this. Would you know how I can get the printed version of this wonderful and beneficial service?
Does anyone know where this particular version can be found in print?
Speak to the choir director from www.orthodox.co.za, she may be able to help - contact details there.
Orthodox Prayer book?
awesome
Thank you. This was beautiful and very helpful. If I may ask, which book is this from. The translation I have is quite different and I'd like to follow along a bit better.
It sounds like it may come from a book of Prayer Services in the Antiochian Orthodox Church, because they really love the lofty English.
Where can one get the music for this?
Where can I find this translation? I’ve looked everywhere.

*For me to read while listening,
These are Orthodox prayers. No papalist.
Is this a traditional pataklesis? I've never heard one like this

Matins should be slow and well ment. Not a speed run

Our theologians are our God-bearing Saints. We follow them. Go your way. May the Lord guide you always.
Why does it seem and feel rushed and devoid of sincerity?
