Your bike looks like a cleaner version of mine. Mine has the same paint but it's not as dark and nice looks more like rust that someone sanded smooth and clear coated 20 years back
@@PacificRacer I missed out on a Magnum a few months back looked pretty good it had that first layer of grime that you can just lightly scrub off. I wanted to paint my maxi green but then I found a damn close color to mine "Aged Metallic Rust" so it's a toss up on if I paint closer to stock or a nice green color
@@PacificRacer Reading my mind brother! That's what I was torn between. I also had a thought of leaving some of the brownish color on the fender to make it look like a green Caramel apple being dipped and the fork being the stick.
@@PacificRacer (a year later lol) From the way it sounds from how I was writing I didn't have it yet but I got a Sachs Balboa that was stock green but it was so rusted I bought some paint, tore it down and redid the paint to darker metallic green and matte black on most things that were silver or chrome colored (haven't done the fenders). I also designed a bullet headlight for my maxi that I ended up putting on the Sachs instead, made a keyed ignition shut off with a key switch I found being thrown away(so you need both the key and the original switch to start it) and because I didn't measure things the sealed beam didn't fit. So I bought an LED offroad or tractor light from some random Amazon store and popped the board and the lens out and fit them into an adapter to the original ring that held the sealed beam. I also spent last night (and every night prior for a week) trying to replicate (although not 100%) the side covers as the ones I have with it just aren't in great condition. A lot of design work, 3d printing, custom wiring and paint. But it's fun when I get to use my skills honed for other reasons for this
@@prshr6145 it could preform better. I will be moving to a 15mm soon, and i will also be getting a 70cc kit for the bike. Pretty much everyone i know moves on to the 15mm for a little more performance. Treatland.tv should have everything you need. I will be posting more videos on the moped after i finish doing the 70cc kit and 15mm carb
Take spark plug out and turn the pedals backwards (like your winding it counter clock wise) see if oil comes out of spark hole. Then take off carb and use starting fluid.
Hey bud you helped me clean up and old targa top tank I've restored 👍

I love the dark red so much. I just got a silver Puch Newport that might just be the cleanest one i have ever seen

@@SwiftCreationStudio a fresh coat of green would for sure look nice. Like a dark green metallic or lime green

Did you buy a 12 mm carb for it? Ty for your help
I did get a 12mm carb for it. It was a clone of the 12mm bing that it came with
Thanks. If I get a 15mm will the bike perform better? Or should I just stay with the 12?

Do you put water in the gas tank
No, No, No! never put water in your tank unless you are going to refill right away with gas and oil after draining
@@PacificRacer which type of oil did you put into tank before gasoline?
@@asd99195 full synthetic 2 stroke oil

No
Kill switch maybe?
The issue ended up being that i wasnt getting enough spark. I swapped to a newer plug and it started right up
