I realize hindsight is 20/20, but still, a nice little improvement on the script. - Semiramis also gets some much-needed character development. I feel, of the Servants, she got the least characterization, and that's considering Siegfried died first, and she was one of the last to go. - I didn't believe it was possible, but you made Mordred chasing a cat EVEN CUTER. - And I like the dynamic between Reika and Jack better in this version. Fate has to have an obligatory psychotic Master/Servant pair, but Reika comes off as a lot less unhinged, and more motherly. Can't wait to see where you go with that. Can't wait for Episode 4, hopefully sometime this year.
Zzz if you read the book mate, then there is a lot of scenes that are not in the show, like the hydra foreshadowing and charcter development, and just genrally more stuff
You know, I bet having Jack for a kid (kids?) must be really stressful the first couple weeks. I mean, multiple personality disorder, murderous impulses, a penchant for mutilation. Gotta hand it to Reika for being a mom to that kid (those kids?).
@@nighthawk72j80 Only an issue if you lack the magical aptitude to be a proper Master. In fact, Assassins by and large are noted to be the least draining of all of the Servant Classes due to their relatively weak physical abilities and their lack of presence, meaning Gaia sees them as less of an anomaly and therefore doesn't reject them as hard as, say, a Berserker. So any Magus worth their Crest would probably be able to maintain an Assassin indefinitely so long as they didn't engage in combat.
@@Brutalyte616 But Jack's master in apocrypha had very little magical energy, not enough to sustain her. In fact, Reika wasn't even supposed to be a master in the first place. Therefore, to keep Jack alive she had to feed her other sources of mana. Well, she lived up to her title of assassin.

Easy - no one would recognize him Even if he said he was who he was - everyone would think him to be a reanactor or a cosplayer The only people who were have trouble would be mythical creatures who don’t have human counterpart forms
I never thought I'd say this but seeing this video released today has given me a what a fan of this series should refer to when a new Fate abridged video is uploaded. I have a "Fategasm".
2 points I really need to commend you on: Caster of black has a subtle charisma that I appreciate. He was kinda boring in the original. Mordred and her master have great chemistry. I'm quite enjoying this series.
Drunk Mordred is the best Mordred, you gave me more of a reason to love her as my favorite saber. Also you made me actually love Shakespeare...god you make such characters loveable. Also thank you for the tfs reference with laticia and jeanne. Also suggestion when sieg turns into siegfried to save Astolfo make him quote All might.
That opening scene made me cry. When an opening scene of an abridged series makes you cry then you know you’re doing something right great job keep up the great writing
Aurtoria: So what! You think you can waltz right into my throne, take one of my swords, fuck my wife, and call yourself king?! Mordred: I only did two of those things! Aurtoria: Precisely! Because my wife is gone. And you will never be king! - For some reason this hit me harder than Iskandar telling Saber she is not a king but only a little girl whose ideals and living as a saintly king cause many of her followers to fall from the path. Truly I feel like Mordred got hit on the head with a bag of bricks after she got stabbed in the waist...chest....stomach..... Ya know it had to be one hell of a blow to cause her helmet to fall to pieces.....is it mana infused?
Man, this really hits similar to a lot of other solid abridged series. A general comedy to everything without giving up the plot, and toning down or raising that comedy as appropriate.
Mordred is best Baber hands down!!! Also nice use of bad luck charm, the first note I could tell it was bad luck charm that or a remix of it, one of the few good stuff from RWBY after vol 3.
I'm thinking that later when Sieg grows more and matures I'm thinking that Jeanne isn't the only one that will have the trope of having other people talking in him.
"And you will never be king" I have to wonder what hurt Mordred more, getting stabbed or hearing Artoria tell her that she will never be a worthy heir.
I know I’m years to late, but this guy gets it. This is my third time watching it, and just hit the fight scene again, I immediately knew it and started jamming out.
"Thy tongue is sharp thou would cusp the lip of any soul in love with yours if you didn't poison them at first that is" "YOU WANNA FUCKIN REPEAT THAT?!!!"
Watching Mordred and Kairi kick ass to Bad Luck Charm as they start to bond. Never in my life have I ever needed something so bad and not realized till now.
Am I the only one who noticed that Astolfo’s master has the same VA as Artoria? Cause holy shit I can’t wait when Mordred meets her. Great episode Blue, top tier equality
Let's see... Fate/Apocrypha takes place the same year as Fate/Stay Night (though in a different timeline), that is; 2004. 2004−1538=466. So assuming that I heard Mordred's age correctly, and that she was honest about it, Mordred was born in 466 AD.
I love it. The interaction of the red faction i did feel where a bit meh and not that great, but everything else was on point. That building of Sisigo and Mordred daddy-son relationship is beautifull and i can already see those Laeticia /Jeanne talks being hilarious. I also im liking this Sieg, it got more personality and swag so far.
I think it'll be hilarious when Mordred tells the truth and tells Kairi that she's only around 10 years old- what with her being a homunculus who was born during Artoria's 10 years of ruling Camelot. Also does anyone else think that Laeticia will try and ship Jeanne and Sieg when he comes back to the battlefield and they start working together. That date is going to be so perfect.
I liked the tweaks made to the "Team bonding" scene. Kairi's becomes simpler while better playing into wider nasuverse lore, and Mor gets to not spark concerns about her having like, 5 years of life experience.
I don’t think I can express how much I want Vlad’s transformation to just be Vlad talking like Abridged Alucard. Like, The first words out of Vampire Vlad’s mouth are “Hey there Padre, hows little Timmy?” Or something along those lines. I’m fully expecting that NOT to happen, but fuck I want that to happen
Truly, this was worth the wait. Hats off to Sieg's voice actor(Nice work BlueDarkma) really nailed him. Jeanne is great and I loved her interaction with Leticia. And I also loved that you added Bad Luck Charm from RWBY, it fits well for Kairi. Also, drunk Mordred is hilarious. This was a great surprise to end my day. Keep up the good work guys
Asstolfo: Wait, five. Were you lumping me in with them just now? Well, since your master is there and can use her command seals to make you do whatever she says I would say yes Ruler was lumping you in with the Black Faction Rider of Black.

IDK if that makes him progressive or not....
So Sieg's more interesting (and nuanced), love Laeticia actively sharing a headspace with Jeane (and bickering with her), Atalanta and Achilles bickering and Sermiramis using such as a substitute for reality TV is hilarious, and Shakespeare sounds like he's going to be a bundle of fun anytime he shows up.
Gotta hand it to Reika for being a mom to that kid (those kids?).
i mean... jack saved her from being sacrificed.
You didn't mention having to feed her the hearts of people, especially mages, for food. That's going to be a hassle.
@@nighthawk72j80 ah yes, I forgot how expensive the groceries are going to be. Hang in there, Reika.
Damn, Baeber, pretty harsh thing to do to your kid... not saying it isn't deserved, but... damn.
Yeah, there's a reason Mordred was called the Knight of Treachery and not the Knight of Extreme Loyalty. Still pretty messed up, though.
Is there any family in this series that isn't dysfunctional beyond human comprehension?
@@csab8642 Fiore and her brother. That's about as close as you'll get.
@@TekkamanSeraphim eventhough they work for The Black Faction
the hell do you mean by it was deserved??
“Saber, stop chasing a cat.”
“Nevvvvvvveeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr!”
Wow, Siegfried’s heart is so powerful it changed his voice😏. Plus, I’m sensing a bit more self confidence in his writing, I like it.
I'm sensing Mordred when she kills that one master, she's gonna be like: "You remind too much of my Father..." and you know what comes next lol
If I recall correctly over in the main series it was because she reminded her of her mother Morgan Le fey
Every moment that has Mordred only reaffirms the fact that I love Her. ALL HAIL SIR MORDRED!?
"I gonna insist you stop calling me 'sis'. "
"...I'm a green-haired Greek, you're a green-haired Greek..."
"You have literal SIBLINGS, how do my hair color supersede anything !?"
=> According to the Greek legends, Achilles' mother was a nymph, and Atalante was the daughter of a king of Arcadia and became a huntress for freaking Artemis. So in truth, they might be related at some level, but that's irrelevant
Also, I know that's from the previous episode, but Atalante yelling at everyone will never NOT be funny to me
I already love the voice for Sieg. It really drives home the image of a nihilistic boy that was quite literally alive for a day mixed with sarcasm and wit.
Part of me really wants to know how Shakespeare getting groceries went, but still a great episode.
Simple. He cast roled himself as a mundane everyman! For what greater immersion for modern day is there but the mundane activity of purchasing groceries?!
@@mistertaz94 I read that in Shakespeare's voice.
Easy - no one would recognize him
Even if he said he was who he was - everyone would think him to be a reanactor or a cosplayer
The only people who were have trouble would be mythical creatures who don’t have human counterpart forms
Lol, he only talks like that around the others, the second he’s out of hearing he talks like Leticia
I fully believe it would be like the abridged version of Archer getting batteries.
A RWBY music in a Fate Abridged series. My life is complete.
Also holy shit, Fatmanfalling and Celtic are here too.
I know right!
@@jasmineb65 yeah, an unexpected surprise, but a pleasant one ^^

Wait...when was the RWBY music in here.....AND HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS IT?

I never thought I'd say this but seeing this video released today has given me a what a fan of this series should refer to when a new Fate abridged video is uploaded. I have a "Fategasm".
elimDBZ You misses the opertunity to call I a Noble phangasm. Nice joke still.

Jeanne: “what should I make you do? Run away? Stab yourself?”
Me: “Well he is a lancer.”
I'm actually shocked he and Karna DON'T do this
2 points I really need to commend you on:
Caster of black has a subtle charisma that I appreciate. He was kinda boring in the original.
Mordred and her master have great chemistry. I'm quite enjoying this series.
Best part of the episode is the completely re-drawn jack which looka much better than her actual clothes
Agree, i hated jack in the original
Drunk Mordred is the best Mordred, you gave me more of a reason to love her as my favorite saber.
Also you made me actually love Shakespeare...god you make such characters loveable. Also thank you for the tfs reference with laticia and jeanne. Also suggestion when sieg turns into siegfried to save Astolfo make him quote All might.
It only makes it better that Artoria acts like a lion when she's drunk
@@parkermaisterra8532 Like father (long story) like daughter (even longer story).
@@discountplaguedoctor88 Father and son.
They may be girls, but they are still father and son.
That opening scene made me cry.
When an opening scene of an abridged series makes you cry then you know you’re doing something right great job keep up the great writing
Mordred started a rebellion....
Which enraged her father who punished her severely
Oh man. Now I can't get that out of my head
Altria the futa king 😂
DID YOU JUST MAKE A FUCKING REFERENCE TO OVERSIMPLIFIED?!
I love you
I just read that in Oversimplified's voice...
Aurtoria: So what! You think you can waltz right into my throne, take one of my swords, fuck my wife, and call yourself king?!
Mordred: I only did two of those things!
Aurtoria: Precisely! Because my wife is gone. And you will never be king!
-
For some reason this hit me harder than Iskandar telling Saber she is not a king but only a little girl whose ideals and living as a saintly king cause many of her followers to fall from the path.
Truly I feel like Mordred got hit on the head with a bag of bricks after she got stabbed in the waist...chest....stomach.....
Ya know it had to be one hell of a blow to cause her helmet to fall to pieces.....is it mana infused?
Well.....what Saber used most is her mana Burst so....
I love how happy and borderline flirtatious (to me, at least) Leticia sounds when she says "Hi, Sieg!" So cute.
when the abridged version becomes more watchable than the actual damn series
I don't remember Sieg being this relatable and having this much personality...
10/10 best Apocrypha adaptation.
He is more relatable in the book and also the manga
Man, this really hits similar to a lot of other solid abridged series. A general comedy to everything without giving up the plot, and toning down or raising that comedy as appropriate.
Loving the idea about Jeanne and Leticia communicating. It was hardly an idea in the original.
11:06 Piccolo and Nail?!
11:10 Piccolo and Nail.
Mordred is best Baber hands down!!! Also nice use of bad luck charm, the first note I could tell it was bad luck charm that or a remix of it, one of the few good stuff from RWBY after vol 3.
Jack was amazing, also Jeanne and Leticia are basically Atem and Yugi aren't they? 😁
Totally! Or Piccolo, Nail and Kami from DBZA.
Jeanne and Sieg moaning at their extras
And at the end of holy grail war they duel
@@elimDBZ bro I thought I was the only one who noticed that
I'm thinking that later when Sieg grows more and matures I'm thinking that Jeanne isn't the only one that will have the trope of having other people talking in him.
I feel like Waver should know everything about servants and alchohol seeing how his servant was the physical embodiment of drinking!
@Tin Watchman then there would be no reason for him to be El Melloi II or still be at clocktower in this timeline.
@Tin Watchman the 1930s grail war is the 3rd holy grail war, not the 4th
"And you will never be king"
I have to wonder what hurt Mordred more, getting stabbed or hearing Artoria tell her that she will never be a worthy heir.
RWBY soundtrack? Now you’re speaking my language.
Ngl, Bad Luck Charm kinda fits Kairi pretty well.
I know I’m years to late, but this guy gets it. This is my third time watching it, and just hit the fight scene again, I immediately knew it and started jamming out.
"Thy tongue is sharp thou would cusp the lip of any soul in love with yours if you didn't poison them at first that is"
"YOU WANNA FUCKIN REPEAT THAT?!!!"
hearing alifluro voice artoria again is a very welcome suprise also yey captain eagle and doktorapplejuice
The alcohol not dematerializing part was great
Watching Mordred and Kairi kick ass to Bad Luck Charm as they start to bond.
Never in my life have I ever needed something so bad and not realized till now.
Loving Bad Luck Charm in the background of the Mordred fight, caus it fits Soo well!
Edit: And all the good music too.
Yeah. I think Passive Aggressive from A Perfect Circle would have worked too.
I can't help but love Amakusa Shirou. His voice is super soft and soothing, and he's just hilarious in general. Really enjoyed this episode m8.

Awww, that stinger went from hilarious to adorable.
Let's see... Fate/Apocrypha takes place the same year as Fate/Stay Night (though in a different timeline), that is; 2004. 2004−1538=466. So assuming that I heard Mordred's age correctly, and that she was honest about it, Mordred was born in 466 AD.
I mean, according to google Arthur was alive during early 6th late 5th century so someone did thier research
17:47 is Jeanne naruto running she must be getting ready to storm area 51
Ruler and Sieg have better dialogue in this than in the actual series.
When the abridged Sieg And Jeanne have more chemistry than in the show
I liked the tweaks made to the "Team bonding" scene. Kairi's becomes simpler while better playing into wider nasuverse lore, and Mor gets to not spark concerns about her having like, 5 years of life experience.
you keep chasing that cat mordred
"HI SIEG!" Such a small moment, but so adorable and character building!

@@emperior5710 99.5% of the problems the Greco-Romans had was because the Gods just couldn't keep it in their Toga's. Primarily Zeus, he was the worst offender. His brothers were also kinda bad, but his sons really took after their father. ESPECIALLY Apollo. Zeus usually stuck to females of various species, Apollo did not have such discriminatory tastes.
