I quit my job in the middle of the corona crisis and TWO MONTHS later I make a living of my own business! 😃
It is crazy how we stay in situations out of fear when something so much better is waiting for us on the other side!

I was doing dishwasher and it's part time Friday to Sunday 6pm to 11pm 15 hours a week. It was going great. But today I go in and the whole place is in my sink. I tried my best to work fast but I felt hopeless there was no way I was going to clean all of it in such a short time. Usually when I arrive there is around twenty pans not all of them. The thing is though was they didn't even call me. If I had couple more hours I think I might of been able to make it.

Since having my last boss leave and another boss come in that worked in a different part of the company it's been a nightmare for me. I've seen the company get rid of a couple of my bosses and this one well God bless then cuz they're driving me crazy and I say that in part to our lord above. It's like everyday going into a job I once loved and now despise for fear of this bosses constant ridiculing me in front of others and not only that after only 4 months of working together and never having any one on one's decided that my evaluation should be degrading with so called examples which during the whole time she never asked to speak to me. So I confronted them after I cooling off and said, "so, you based my review on the words of others but never asked toi speak to me". How is that good management? I want to walk in there so bad and just quit it's not funny.

I get so much anxiety from feeling like I can put in 110% (doing paperwork and other things for free outside of work hours to keep up) and it's still not good enough. Child care is one of the lowest paid, underappreciated, stress inducing vocations in existance. I left child care due to anxiety too. I had wonderful co workers for the most part, but my co-teacher and I didn't mesh well, and the kids fed off our stress, the atmosphere was insanely chaotic and I started having panic attacks regularly. A horrilbe thankless job for well meaning people who genuinely love kids and want to make a difference in their futures.

A boss that responds with a passive aggressive "or what?" instead of working with you to make a compromise sounds like a toxic boss that did not value you as an employee in the first place and it's likely best you left that job in any scenario. The workplace is full of bullies (aka narcissists) who dont really care about your success or future and in fact can work against it using subtly devaluing tactics to keep you locked and stagnant in your growth. It's a real issue in our society and more people are waking up to it.

    • @ceecee8757

Exactly!! I work for a narcissistic boss and her ego is so big, she doesn't take anyone's input into consideration but her own. I'm leaving that toxic place within the next few weeks after tying up some loose ends. It's scary, but I can't live the next 20 years of my working career in that kind of environment.

I'm planning to quit my job. The scenario is this-I am single, no children, and I'm renting an expensive apartment near my workplace, (lots of apartment here was not cheap either) and to cut the story short, I am living paycheck to paycheck here. I'm planing to quit my job and go back to my hometown because I got a studio type unit there and has no monthly rent because it was city government project, the only thing that I need to pay there was electric and water bill. In short I will have an opportunity to save much there. If I don't quit at my current job, it is far away 40km each way (2hours commute) from my new place.. and that company offers me a low salary. The people and co worker there was great exept for those individuals who are toxic. Do guys you think I made a great decisions if I quit my current job? I'm scared if I ended up jobless for long.. and I save only for few months budget.

this is how i felt when i was going to be leaving my ex husband. in my heart i knew we were not going to be together anymore. living with him, i felt like my flame for life was being extinguished and i was not sure how i was going to turn my flame into a fire again, but i knew that leaving was a start. i was terrified. i was 40 years old at the time. i knew i was going to have to get a job and take a financial nose dive along with leaving our daughter with him which was total heart break i don't ever wish on anyone. i saved a few thousand dollars and headed to las vegas where i now have a completely different life i could not have imagined. but i really could have not imagined what my life would have been like if i had stayed, so i left. it was the hardest decision of my life. not just because of the financial aspect but i was leaving behind ALL that had been familiar to me for over 30 years of my life. i was not going to know many people. my friends all lived there. my mom. i knew where everything was in town. i had to brace myself to be lonely and broke. i realize most women would never do what i did because of what other people would think about them, but i am soooo glad i broke away and bungee jumped into myself. i have no idea how your videos came to me but i thank you kindly for sharing. i really do,

Honestly, This video and many other things that happened in my life Is making me want to take the risk of no longer taking the safe route of waiting for another job. I am truly ready to quit, I have been working in my job for 4 years and wanted to leave for almost 4 years. I get treated well most of the time, and its more lenient than other jobs. There many days though that I hoped that My store either shut down or I would be fired, and after dealing with some mental issues with my boss I realized that I am going to take the risk of finally pushing through my fear and being able take the risk of leaving. I am scared of what people and my family will think, scared of my financial situations, scared of the pain, and doubting myself. You know what though it feels so right, it feels like something I need to do, in order to no longer be enslaved mentally anymore, to be spiritually free from and enter into path of things I would never imagine in the past. I thank you tremendously for being able to put a video that I needed for this moment and I feel as thought I am ready to take the next step.

Even though it pays better than any job I have had, I still can't make rent on time or pay my bills. It's exhausting and embarrassing as I am growing a family. I can't logically be ok with making someone else rich sacrificing my time when I could be in that position for myself. Everything being digital, it's absolutely crucial for me to tap into this type of income. I want the freedom to do what I want and be able to pull out my laptop anywhere and "work".
