Dang gate jumped right out in front of me! Happens to everyone once or twice while driving a manual.
You haven't experienced manual driving unless you have whacked your bumper into a sign because you thought it was in neutral

Yep! My mom destroyed the front end of her Honda minivan with my 79’ Chevy K20 project truck. I wasn’t home and she decided to jump start her van with my truck. For some reason she shut it off, and started it back up in granny low, and let off the clutch straight into the van. 7,000 lbs. of solid American steel vs. import piece of crap Honda. American steel definitely won!

We’ve all done it. Some of us are just more lucky than others and didn’t ram into something when we did it. I almost sent a camper off a hill.

hey that brake light on the truck is like the abs light on chevy impalas Its there we dont know why its there but it dont cause anyharm and it passes inspection with it on
I would check your voltage with a multi meter at the battery while running and see if your alternator is charging
I had the exact same intermittent issue in an 02 6 speed 24 valve truck that I had. Check the ground connections on the drivers side fender. That was the fix for me, believe it or not.
Your ECM control module is bad. Try disconnecting the wiring harness from the gauge cluster. Then plug it back in. Worked for me. It's just a temporary fix. But let you know you have a bad gauge cluster.
If you pull the parking brake then pull the parking brake petal up it'll make the brake light go away
This (NO BUS ) is the computer going out happened to me before but mine would just shut off for no reason
Take out your odometer cluster and unplug it and plug it back in maybe it will reset

Last time I had a “no bus” on my 01 ram, the main power control connector inside the fuse box was loose under the hood, the nut down inside the fuse box spun loose inside the plastic and the harness was coming lose from bumps
You need a new pcm. It’s in the engine bay. The code is actually no bu5. Had that problem with a dodge Dakota. Pretty much needs a new computer

Don’t worry I popped the clutch in gear wile at a stop light thinking it was in neutral, almost sent it through the back of my buddy’s truck if I didn’t have my foot on the brake 😂
My 99 does that no bus. Try pushing on your cluster. Your bolts might need tightening. If not the problem then it’s your ecu. Passenger firewall is the computer. Unplug all 3 harnesses. Use a air nozzles blow out the connectors and the ports. Best of luck to ya.

Abs and emergency light being on is more than likely the speed sensor on the rear diff or it’s the abs module in the engine bay

No bus ..I’d start by checking the plugs on the backside of the cluster if that doesn’t work then check the plugs on the ecm bcm , fuse box if none of these steps work check the wire harness also see if your obd port is live

The harness I’m talking about runs on the firewall in the engine bay
Check pcm and connections and all grounds, could be a loose connection somewhere maybe in the fuse panel, also check batteries
Joint connector #7 connects you obd2 port, overhead console, instrument cluster, ecm, pcu, and abs module. The wires are white/black and violet/brown. Maybe water pooled into that joint connector. Check to see if your obd2 port works as well.

It’s a ecm problem I would try tightening down the bolts that hold the connectors in and see if it fixes it

ECM (engine control module) is losing connections looks like, I’d try buying another ecm go to cummins or something and get another ecm but tell them your problem first
always leave it in neutral...

I’ve driven a few stick cummins trucks thay normally will stall out if the parking brake is fully engaged aka al the way to the floor most of them were third gen.
And i thank no bus means it has lost connection to the ECM

See if you can pull codes at the obd with a dealership drb tool
My 2nd gen has a issue where if my key is too far forward it pulls those same lights mad the gauges don’t work if it I turn it back just before it clicks off they go alwa and the gauges work again

I'm surprised it moved when you took your foot off the clutch, I've never driven any thing bigger than and 80s ranger with a manual so I'm not sure if that's normal or not for a diesel

How long does it take to load a tune on the smarty touch for your 3rd gen ?
If the abs and brake light stay on it’s usually a wheel seal but your computer is probably messed up if all the lights keep coming on

Your ECM probably got wet or something. My truck had that no bus code and it was an ECM problem

A faulty fuel gauge is a common issue on a second gen it’s usually a sending unit issue
Look for none OEM wiring under the dash by the steering column I had this same issue with my Dodge and the problem was because of shity quick crimp connectors that a transmission shop butchered up after we threw in a remaned transmission. A Dodge is finicky and the slightest amount of resistance will throw the ecm into a safe mode. For example all the lights on the dash, no gauges, no break lights. But it will turn on the running lights. If you do find a butchered wiring take the time and do it correctly and most likely it should fix your problem.
Get some new rims for the red truck.

Them YITA brand mirrors suck! I have em in my Silverado and the “glass” just gets rattled loose after a week or two. Those however, look pretty decent quality.
