I had low profile Kumho's 205/40/R17 on my 95 Honda Civic Type R about 13 years ago and damn these tires impressed the hell out of me ! I'm pretty sure they saved my life a couple times also ! I have had a few Kumho's since then and not a negative word to say about them !
Kumho 7 Crugen tires are the best! I replaced these at 99,600 miles. Extremely satisfied with the performance and wear on Kumho 7s. The price for all 4 tires and the alignment was a really good price from the dealership. Super happy with Kumho.
Had Continental True Contact tires. Top of the line, about $750 mounted. Burned through those in about 2 years, 15,000 miles, ran em bald, and the grip was never as good as the Kumho Ecstas. As a lively driver who needs the grip and lifespan, Kumho is gonna be my goto. Been on a buy 3 get 1 at Pep Boys for 6 months now. Can't beat that kinda value.
I had Khumo Crugens on our KIA Sorento, then went to Falkens, Generals, Michelin LAtitude 3's and I will refit these Khumos back on next. They are that good.
we have 3 major tire companies in korea, hankook, kumho and nexen tires. hankook has been taking the first place for a long time and kumho is at the second place. we used to consider kumho is taking a place of cost and performance balanced brand and nexen is more like cost efficient which means cheap. it's just because korean tire brands are not as well known as other american europian and japanese brands but they r worth it.
Hankook makes awesome long lasting tires. First set I had was OE on a Toyota. I was so impressed that I stuck with them. They weren't the cheapest but they were also not the most costly. Wet handling in them was way up there and they easily surpassed 70k for me. Now, I just got a set of Kumhos, the TS71 XLs for free, for my Camaro. Only experience I've had with them was not good but that was 10 years ago roughly. These look great and feel high quality. I'm hoping they live up to the recent hype. Btw, Korea has really been "on the ball" for the last decade. Even Korean movies. I'm not a big movie watcher and I can't stand Hollywood but I've seen quite a few Korean films in the last decade are meaningfull and entertaining and that's having to read subtitles. 😆 Still better than 90 percent of the garbage Hollywood is producing.
I just ordered a set of Kumho Solus Majesty 9 TA91's for my '18 Charger R/T $148 a piece from Discount Tire Direct w/ free shipping. I ran a similar set on a 9th Gen F150 a few years back. They did really good on the truck, so I have good expectations for them on my car.
Bridgestone brand is very expensive because of marketing and promoting expense that hands to consumers. Kuhmo has no big marketing expenses. So Kuhmo has less burden to the consumers. Despite the fact, both are good tires.
Istvan Bartha not really. My Kia Sorento is my road trip cad and I drive even 100 mph on my Kumhos. If you know about driving Physics knowing the weight of your vehicle then these kick butt. But if your a heavy footer and slams at the pedals then no.
Kumo Solus on my Verloster Turbo 2016 are excellent.. never had a flat are any problems and they are excellent on snow and rain, back tires are still excellent.. my front needs new tires because it's front wheel drive and I drive it like a sports car ,
Seriously. I agree. Been having my Sorento for several years and wayyy better tire then my Santa Fe sport Continental cross contact tires. I’m still a Michelin fan but for the best value for your buck Kumho is kicking ass.
Well that's good to hear I guess. I just took delivery of a 2020 BMW M2 Competition that I ordered 7 months ago. I just wound up ordering Kumho Wintercrafts for my winter tires, because I literally could not find ANY other tire that fit the M2, that were actually in stock. But I had never even heard of the brand, and the tires cost about half of what I was expecting to pay, so I was thinking they probably sucked. Fingers crossed.
@@dhebert111 I’ve had the Kumho wintercraft and drove from London to Antalya 4000km approx in winter, I had snow from France all the way to about 100km away from my destination in Antalya, did the drive in 2.5 days. (13 hours boarder crossing Bulgaria into Turkey), I have to say, they’ve done a great job seriously, I got stuck only once and that was on a steep hill with full packed snow, RWD 430d btw. I’ve also driven them on very hot days and the grip is actually phenomenal especially that Turkish words are very bad quality and the tires held really well but I’ve destroyed them a lot faster. I’m looking to get the PS71 now (Summer tires) trying to save what’s left of the wintercraft.

I got Kumhos 15 years ago and liked them. They did get slippery when worn. Hopefully they are using better rubber/compounds to keep rubber softer when old. General is my goto now days.
Kumho picks up a lot of stones, twice this year I got stone chips in my windshield. There are lots of causes for this, but I think tire pattern is one of culprits.
I'll tell you a story about the last car I owned (2001 ford focus zx3) and my experience with a Bridgestone tire . when I test drove the car it ended up getting a flat tire well the person I was buying the car off of they worked for a small body shop and they had a older Bridgestone tire laying around that he slapped on the car for me . you could tell it had been sitting out in the sun for a while (dessert las vegas sun) I'd say it was probably about 65-70% tread life left and it was slightly dry rotted in between the groves ( the car needed new tires all around and at that time it was the best tire on on the car) during the four years that I owned that vehicle around 50,000-60,000 miles later . I replaced every single tire except for that one Bridgestone tire. sometimes had to replace a tire more than once sometimes used tires sometimes new ones .( I've never really had the money to put the expensive good brand tires on my cars before so in my experience the used ones usually last about as long as the new ones do when you buy Budget tires) as example two of the tires were brand new Budget tires I replaced shortly after purchasing the vehicle to put on the front they only lasted about 8-10 months . that single bridgestone tire out lasted them all it never punctured the dry rotting on it never mattered it never lost air . that tire stayed on the passenger side rear of my car until it was worn down allmost all the way to the wear lines and that was when i got rear-ended by a suv and my car got totalled it even outlasted the car . so all im saying is Bridge Stones are worth the Xtra money hands down best tire from my experience you can buy

Guys, lets be honest. Anyone under 40 who looks at the word "kumho" is going to giggle a little bit and not take you seriously. Instead of wasting tens of thousands on advertising, how about you change your brand name.
Sheesh.. What's the best USA can offer? Good Year!? Gimme a break! Cost cutting, greediness, and playing cheap is what has brought most American companies down! Keep supporting them, one way or the other, they're gonna need it!

Both tires performed equally well on the tire rack. Lol 😂

The Korean tire companies have been building factories in the US to sell more quality tires. Hankook has a plant in TN and Kumho has a plant in GA.

Kumho Solus vs Goodyear Assurance on a Kia Sedona? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Goodyears are ok, but they make a lot of road noise, and sometimes dangerous slipping. Kumho's are very very good!
