At times Britain may have erred (certainly has fallen in a remarkable way now due to sordid leaders) but the reason for the rise of England is in Chaucer, Shakespeare, Bunyan, Coleridge, Blake, Hopkins, Brooke, Eliot, Auden… and that Christian cross alone is the reason Britain happened.
