This is exactly the car channel i have been looking for, no glitz, no advertising, just straight up products that you have used through experience. You are correct, Super resin remains the daddy of polishes, used it for years.I have had SD1 Rover, MGBGT, Volvo 340, 240, V50, 4 Triumph Stags, VW golf x2, MX5 but love the 80's and 90's Merc's. Try not to change the channel it is superb as it is and that 190 looks a million bucks to me. Thank's.

I’ve saved numerous Mk2 Golfs and T25’s at great expense and sold them on at a loss. It’s not a good business model but very rewarding.

Just discovered your channel having found the 190E project - love it.
I have had 2 190E's over the years, one from 1993 to 2003 and another from 2003 to 2014 - they were bullet proof and reasonably cheap and easy to service and maintain. The first one I had I bought from a Mercedes dealership and had full leather interior, AMG body kit and lowered suspension, unfortunately being red it suffered from the usual paint oxidation issue that plagued Mercedes of that era and sadly rotted on the wheel arches behind the body kit arch mouldings. The second one I bought was also red but standard spec so I transferred the entire interior, body kit and fitted new lowered springs to replicate the first one I had. The 190E transformation you did had brought the memories of these cars flooding back to me - keep up the great work, the classics need to be saved before it's too late. Looking forward to watching all your other projects, great entertainment.

While flicking around on UA-cam I accidentally found this channel and I’m pleased I have I’ve seen many Revival channels across the great big pond it is refreshing to see a channels 😢 such as this down in the nitty-gritty with that little bit of humour I love this series of the 190e back from dead and there is such thing as polishing a turd i’m also pleased that I’m not the only one don’t like spiders hate the bloody things lol so keep up the good work rome wasn’t built in a day

Well done. Looked magic at the end. That blue is nice. Had one of these W201’s as a daily for about four years. Was a great little car, still miss it today. At the moment I’ve got a C124 in my back yard awaiting some love.
It's a gorgeous colour isn't it, hoping the logbook gets here soon so I can drive it around for a bit, good luck with the 124 hope it fairs better than mine did
As others have said, I’ve only just found your channel. The Rover 114 was the first one. I’ve watched this one with interest as the 190 has to be the best looking Mercedes of them Just shows that old forgotten cars can have a new life. Keep up the good work.

Amazing watching this old Merc transform. I didn't realise the door cards could be refurbished in that way, Ben has some great skills. The final buffing the paintwork looked fantastic. Great and funny vids as always Ben, working my way through all your uploads, one of my favourite channels.
No annoying intro, straight to work. I know its a small thing but content flowed straight away without a boring intro. Bonnet is failing the 190, but how far do you go, have to draw a line somewhere, new owner can have that sorted and it will be very tidy
you sir are a mechanical wizard. firstly I admire you for saving so many old cars destined for the scrap heap. second your work is incredible. this merc looks incredible.

The paint revival is miraculous, and top job on the door cards, this is a standard problem on the 190, and I haven’t seen a better solution than yours. Seems like a shame that after all the other trouble, you don’t fix the bonnet edge rust.

Tip from a Merc Nerd - save your back and back of you head, on the bonnet strut - pull back the clip and the bonnet moves up 90deg. Game changer for when you do more.

I used to do the valleting for a Vauxhall dealership in Ayrshire and at the end of the month when it came time to order in all the cleaning supplies I used to pick mainly AutoGlym, not really cause they were better but cause they would always throw in tonnes of freebes for the valeters, which made me look like a good guy, for no effort!!

nice to see the rare manual box,even if only a 1.8 but then fuel friendly compared to my old six cyl 2.6 lol. got 40 miles to a tenner in 2008 ha ha ha. progably a tenner a mile today lol. weird seeing handles on the door. must be a luxury upgrade mine never had. i only had buttons by gear shift lol
