It sort of doesn't make sense though, in one aspect.
The characters claim to be immune to future assassins when they go back in time; that when another Tim follows them back from the future, he opens up a new timeline that they're not in. But it has the same problem as quantum immortality. It operates under the rules that that Tim comes back into a version of the current timeline that the ‘originals’ are now immune to, but also that that Tim would enter a timeline with copies of those originals in it.
Though, this is just going off what the original killer Tim says, and maybe he was just naively misinformed.
Based on a first watching, oherwise it's a tidy series of events.

I don't think it was foreknowledge that caused that one Tim (TOT) to throw the clock at Murder Tim (MT). If TOT had known Holly knocked at that specific time, then he would've answered already, causing Holly and him to enable a relationship, disconnecting him from the chaotic timeloop that we saw. It was most likely caused by the "cosmic mechanism" to remove duplicates mentioned by MT at 22:31. Not only did it cause MT to trip and shoot himself, it was probably the mechanism that allowed the coincidence of the clock being placed to prevent the timeloop that allows for more duplicates.

Fantastic short film! The special effects used to make all the Tims interact with one another was great, I honestly don't even know how you did it. The story was interesting and didn't have any obvious plot holes like most of the short films I've seen about time travel. The actor was good too, you could really tell that each iteration of Tim had a slightly altered personality.

Dust sometimes represent shitty films too. And though the quality of how it's filmed is very well, the scenario sometimes really sucks. Actually, I never saw the film which would show me the future that I would like to live in.
This is the tragedy of all western film production

    • @DjMikeWatt

To be clear, Dust isn't creating those films. It's just distributing them on its channel. It's not a production studio. Those films are all independently made.

I like the film a lot. And I totally get that it was a very intentional choice to break the cycle at the end. I have to wonder, though, if the impact would be greater by ending it 2 minutes earlier. When I thought it was over, you know when I mean... I thought, "damn, those poor bastards are going to be running around in this cycle for eternity". That hit hard. But then, happy ending! Either way, really cool film and story.

I agree with you, but to specifically address your question here: "How does this one only Have 4K views??!!" (currently 1.4K)
I'm thinking it's due to the amount and qualities of other short films on at least this platform, on channels such as "DUST".
Again, I do very much agree with you and others who have experienced similar experiences in regard to this short film.
