      It sort of doesn't make sense though, in one aspect.
      The characters claim to be immune to future assassins when they go back in time; that when another Tim follows them back from the future, he opens up a new timeline that they're not in. But it has the same problem as quantum immortality. It operates under the rules that that Tim comes back into a version of the current timeline that the ‘originals’ are now immune to, but also that that Tim would enter a timeline with copies of those originals in it.
      Though, this is just going off what the original killer Tim says, and maybe he was just naively misinformed.
      Based on a first watching, oherwise it's a tidy series of events.

      I don't think it was foreknowledge that caused that one Tim (TOT) to throw the clock at Murder Tim (MT). If TOT had known Holly knocked at that specific time, then he would've answered already, causing Holly and him to enable a relationship, disconnecting him from the chaotic timeloop that we saw. It was most likely caused by the "cosmic mechanism" to remove duplicates mentioned by MT at 22:31. Not only did it cause MT to trip and shoot himself, it was probably the mechanism that allowed the coincidence of the clock being placed to prevent the timeloop that allows for more duplicates.

    This is actually really well put together and written. Usually, after watching a time travel film you can work out plot holes or things that should've happened but didn't given the multiple timelines but this one covers all the bases. Very well done.

  • @zkylearnstherope

    Okay, here's how I interpretted it:
    The black-jacket Tim said that the rest of Tims became more broken and broken in his timeline..
    I believe that it was directly related to the *number of Time Travels* ..
    The wine Tim traveled once, so he's fine.. Just a bit hungry..
    The black-jacket Time traveled once too.. but he just barely escaped a Tim-massacre, that's why he's a bit crazy..
    Then the scarf Tim traveled twice.. he was originally the black-jacket Tim who traveled back again..
    so he's the craziest of them three.. and the only reason he wore the scarf was to hide the wine-stains.
    He must've gotten the stained t-shirt from wine Tim when they spent the last timeline together.. that's why it already has the stains..
    *I found it clever how the writer used a simple clock to stop the loop.. great job!!*

    • @trevorama
      @trevorama  4 роки тому

      Maria Dinah A. Dimacali A very well thought out analysis! You got it! The only tweak is that the black jacket Tim would have traveled twice and the scarf Tim three times. Cheers!

      Dust sometimes represent shitty films too. And though the quality of how it's filmed is very well, the scenario sometimes really sucks. Actually, I never saw the film which would show me the future that I would like to live in.
      This is the tragedy of all western film production

    • @DjMikeWatt

      To be clear, Dust isn't creating those films. It's just distributing them on its channel. It's not a production studio. Those films are all independently made.

    That was pretty cool. Making each cut so it actually looks like you are interacting with yourself must of taken a lot of *time* to get the synchronization right.
    For a moment I thought you were just going to get her to Jump back a few times so each has a copy to be happy with.
    But instead TIM finds he's enter world divergence number 1.048596 Steins Gate.

    • @trevorama
      @trevorama  5 років тому +6

      Vegarot Fusion Synchronization was key. We also used “Tennis Ball Tim” (a stand with a tennis ball on top) to ensure the right eye-line.
      Love your idea of getting a couple copies of Holly. Too bad Tim didn’t think of that. But then again, Holly may not have been too keen on the idea. Steins Gate for the win! Thanks for your feedback!
