Will the 724 pull the 5710? 🤔

  • So we hooked the Fendt 724 up to the Bourgault 5710 to see how it pulls so we can make future plans. It doesn't pull it as good I was hoping for. Reminds me of the Fendt 1050 pulling the 68ft Bourgault. 🤷‍♂️

@@tomasztomasz5202 Well, Fendt may have the roots in Germany, but since Agco owns Fendt, you could easily say it is an US company even if the development does still happen in Germany. So, why copy ? And since Claas and Krone do sell pretty good in the US, might be some good machines coming from Germany as well.
And since there is practically no need for those huge Bourgalt seeders here, one wouldn´t need to copy them at all.

If I remember correctly, it was when we extended our drill to 48ft that our AC440 (orange Steiger bearcat with different engine) decided to start hating life :P that was articulated 4WD but around the 230/240hp mark, it pulled it, but you didn't want to try and take off with it in the ground and the old V8 screamed all day :D It got replaced by a Versatile 935 and not long after the drill got replaced with a bigger one because that straight 6 Cummins hardly cared the 48ft was behind it, amazing the difference 100hp and a BIG chunk of inline 6 torque can make

V8's were not popular here once diesel and turbos took over, they died out very quickly.
