Proud C700 FF & C500 Mark ii owner. The C100 Mark ii was the first professional cinema camera I bought. That purchase was a game changer.

The C500 Mark II is the best camera Canon has released in my opinion. Although still out of my budget, I am surprised they priced it where they did. I was expecting it to be in the $20K USD range. All that being said, I am a happy C200 owner :) Great content as always!

Will you be shooting more content with the C500 II? I feel like there is a lack of footage available so far. A variety of shooting styles would be helpful to determine the image quality of the camera. The info videos are great, but I believe this content is more suited for an article. Please provide more footage of the C500 II if you can. Thank you.
Great overview. I only miss high frame rate options in the Canon cinema line. Apart from that, they tick almost all the boxes.
Guess I will be digging into Canon's photo lenses for full frame autofocus coverage too.
When will it be shipped?
Can't understand the omission of 12 bit in the 500ii; not when the c300ii (a considerably older camera) does have it. Not to mention why 500ii also crops in HFR, when it's so much newer (and more expensive) than the c300ii.
No 12bit 444 no party!
One day I wish to be able to upgrade from my trusty GH5S with XLR1 adapter to a Canon C200 for corporate video work. Has always been a goal of mine!
I think it could be a good idea considering also the upcoming 1DX Mark III, I own a C200 and the camera is very heavy for daily use.

@@SportFlow With monitor, handle and adding a prime lens (50mm) is around 3kg, with a zoom lens is around 4kg. The camera can be used just on tripod, don't follow what internet says, it's a great camera but you need to be an expert colorist, because in 4k RAW there's not baked image preset, so no Wide Dynamic Range, not standard etc...just C-LOG, while with Mp4 file format you have Wide Dynamic Range etc...but it is not so workable being 4:2:0 8 bit. It's a Pro camera to be used in small set, not a run and gun camera. I'm waiting for 1Dx Mark III, or something different (I like the S1H, but its autofocus is not good), S1H offers an image comparable to C200, maybe also superior.
Danilo Del Tufo The c200 can definitely be a run and gun camera..the raw is phenomenal.. if it’s too heavy,hit the gym bro😂😂.. the canon 1dxmark 3 form factor will be weird and still is not a cinema camera..
@@EverythingFilmmaking For my experience a camera with lens superior to 2kg is not so good for daily use. If you add a support to the shoulder everything change. But I like compact cameras that can be hold just with one hand. I still own a C200, but I dunno if I will keep it or change with a more light-weight camera, my old camera HPX170 is more usable than C200, so I'm lookin' also for AG-CX350. That's my personal opinion but I see that other people can have different ideas about it.
