Yeah you could travel to Belize!! You should look at the safety risks before going to Belize to be prepared.

The police were targeting the tourists hard during covid I say skip this place, I was going to retire there but the authorities showed their ass

Any day, the police are great, some even carry a gun, most not. Compared to Texas, crime doesn't exist here. Asked a cop friend of mine , why don't you carry a gun? He said, we are here to help not intimidate. Going on our MILITARY years, lost a garden hose, extension cord and a small set of sockets. That's it. Violent crime is super low, the people are not like the USA, they are HAPPY.
