    I’ve seen it done with hairs from a broom or brush. Plastic or nylon are probably the best. Best thing is that they’re extremely flexible and won’t jab you.

    Hi Rick, I have used guitar wire before, the good thing with it is, if you need to 'bend' the antenna to tie it down, it is very easy, this was another great ideas video, best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍

    great video my friend! you gave me an idea on what wire to use for a upcoming 1/35 RC maus project! HUGE thanks buddy! without this video, i was probably just gonna stay with no antenna's like my really older projects where there aren't any antenna's. props to you man!

    Very good tutorial. I have been using the stretched sprue method for some time with a few toasted fingers and frustrating results. I am going to try the guitar spring method and by luck I have a music store just down the street. Thanks!

    Look at those sexy antennas! The hobby shop I always go to actually had the 0.015mm ones but not in the red blister packs. Same company but they were sold by the dozen at 3 feet long.

      @@Ricks135scalemodels Now that you have solved my ant problem, I am befuddled by the window painting. ALL my armor is desert camo, so I black out all the glass viewports. But sometimes the real ones seem to have color to them and now I do not know what to do. If one adds a little color to them, they actually look like glass. But what color? There seems to be a lot of variance. Any idea why the glass port in front of the Leopards commanders hatch is clear? It is literally 2 pieces of glass that can be seen through.

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  3 роки тому +1

      @@spiritualarchitect4276 The answer is green. But.. kind of an off shade. I have not mastered that one yet. All the glass is laminated sheets so its somewhat bullet proof. The commander's view port several sheets and I heard its plexiglass/glass combo but thats not confirmed. I would use a n enamel emerald green thinned down. The hard part is not having any streaks.

      @spiritualarchitect4276 3 роки тому +1

      @@Ricks135scalemodels Is it an armored plate that sticks up to protect him when he is standing up in the hatch? And it has extra protected glass so he can see through it without getting shot?
      As for streaks, I am not worried about them as tanks get dirty out on the field.

I bought a MIG German paint set to do one tank and there is soo much paint left over that I feel like I have to keep buying German tanks to use it all up. While I have you on the line, do you find aircraft more demanding ~ more detailed ~ more time consuming ~ than tanks?

    • @MadGeniusProductions_MGP
      @MadGeniusProductions_MGP 3 роки тому +2

      @@spiritualarchitect4276 That's a great question. I would say the actual building of a tank is way easier because you can assemble it all at once (unless it has an interior). Where as an aircraft you really have to detail and paint out each part and then put it together (for me at least). However, the full detailing and weathering and getting it just right is much much more time consuming and difficult on a tank in my opinion.

    How do Rick, only just come across your channel. I haven't done many videos recently, I won't bore you why. Anyway , I've just watched this so far, got feed pooch and get coffee then I'm on it !!!! Providing the kid don't bother me, pesky kids hey, why do we do it... if we could see in advance what pain in the asses they would be.... the best one is.... you've been saving and getting excited about getting a new kit , just as you get to the model shop door..." oh, dad , I've forgot tell you, I need get this from school or this and that ".... God bloody dam !!!! Ha. Yes the guitar string, I've tried a few different things. I'll take credit for our mr Moore aerial, although I'm sure he won't say it !!! As with many other folks that they have taken from and claimed. My most favourite Rick being the home made airbrush stand.... box... we all start this hobby o like myself and so many others returning to it can't believe how expensive it comes... so I set the airbrush area under my cave window and i simply got two of 3 of those " ring binder folders " are they. I took the metal clips of and stuck some tape over wholes. And wella " . Each folder cost me 99p perhaps a bit cheaper and you can either throw them away when not needed.ir just put a sheet of paper or bin bag over the folders, tape it down , tac it on... still have it now and it still works... I'd like to say I'm a genius ... but , I know you all know I'm a genius, good looking and very very intelligent ( how do you spell intelligent, is that right) ha. No anyway Rick I'm really chuffed my friend I've found your channel. Your a very very talented modeller, wow !!! If you need anything, anything at all, kits, decals, instructions a wee bit of advice, then don't message me !!!! Ha , no just a wee joke. No anything at all if I can help it would be great to help you out . No need for payment etc I set my channel up with helping folks out . Sray safe byddy
